Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice

Cheryl was ready for another practice. The latest one went great and Cheryl was glad that she got the position of chaser. She tried out for keeper at first but figured she could play any position like a chameleon could change to anything. It was a disaster weather and Cheryl could be pretty vain sometimes but she wanted to show she wasn't the standard girl next door that people thought she would be. She didn't card to be covered in mud today and wanted to score nothing more. But the heavy rain didn't made it easier. '' Hi everyone!'' the blonde shouted as she entered and quickly mounted her broom as the game began.Things were already going fast but Cheryl was quick she catched the quaffle as first and went on to the hoops with high speed. She hoped she wouldn't fly to someone since she couldn't see much.

Grimacing at both the rain and the pain in her side, Celine tried tracking the rest of her teammates' movements as best she could. She thought she saw someone moving towards her down the pitch, but opening her eyes any further out of their squint just got water in them anyway. She would have to wait and see if the person actually was a chaser, but readied herself just in case.

Fletcher still had her eyes open and focused as she watched the bludgers headed towards one the Chasers. Leaning forward on her broom she swept over to try and intercept, willing herself to go faster and catch it before it made contact. The bat was more difficult to hold in the rain, but gripping it tightly she hit the ball with all the strength she could muster as she flew up to the girl with the Quaffle, redirecting it with a couple of seconds to spare. This time she'd been ready. She aimed it towards the youngest seeker, and while she felt guilty about hitting him he hoped she'd be forgiven. There were easier ways to make friends than pelting them with the most vicious of the balls, but her intentions were only to help him get stronger.

Theodore was pleasantly minding his own business, attempting to locate the snitch that one of the beaters had claimed to have seen, when that same beater very rudely decided to attack him with a bludger. He hadn't seen it coming, so focused as he was on trying to spot the golden orb, that the much larger ball of iron had been lost in his peripherals until it was too late. It hit him heavily, knocking the wind out of him with a mixture of pain and surprise. He floated on the spot, silently biting into his knuckles while trying to hold back the threat of tears. He didn't think he'd ever get used to taking a bludger, and he wasn't even so sure he could take more than one in a game with how small he was, and how large they were. He breathed slowly in and out, catching his breath, and shot the beater a hurt look once he'd adequately recovered. "That wasn't the snitch."

The blonde was flying fast to the hoops and she heard some noice coming in her way and was a bit scared that a bludger might hit her. She saw someone flying close to her and hoped it was a beater that would protect her. And it was! The blonde thanked the girl shortly and focused again. She came close at the hoops and decided to try out. But the rain was too heavy and Cheryl couldn't really tell if she was close with one of the hoops. But she didn't had scored for sure. Cheryl sighted for a moment but figured it was a good training in this kind of weather. She would just try again later.

Elvira noticed Fletcher hit another bludger and felt her heart skip a beat. The young redhead really was a force to be reckoned with. At first she felt relieved that she hadn't been hit, but she winced as she saw that Theodore was hit instead. The boy was so young that it made her feel really sad to see him be hit that way, but he did have to get used to it if he wanted to keep doing this. She tried to give him a sympathetic smile, though she wasn't sure if he noticed.

Keeping her head in the game, Fletcher did her best to look out for anyone else who might be needing assistance, nodding to Cheryl before taking off again. She felt about about hitting Theo and hoped he wasn't going to blame her too much. Although she'd not used the charm to protect herself from the rain, her eyes were becoming more adjusted to the harsh weather conditions and it no longer felt painful as the cold rain hit her now freezing cheeks.

Training her eyes on the movement in the distance, all of a sudden Celine saw the newest chaser soar out of the rain haze and into clarity of vision - or as much as she could really have in this weather. Readying herself in front of the hoops, she watched the chaser getting closer, trying to figure out which goal the girl was going to head for. Maybe she couldn't see through the rain very well, but when Celine flew out to stop the Quaffle from getting near the hoops she still didn't have a clear idea of which one the girl had been aiming for. It was because of this stupid weather, she was sure and she cursed under her breath at it again as she tossed the ball back out for the chasers. The focus elsewhere had made her temporarily forget about the earlier bludger hit, but as she lightly pressed at her side she hoped the pain would fade away faster than it currently was.

The rain was making the entire game really difficult for all of them. Bludgers were randomly hit and players mistook each other for something else. Feeling the charm weaken against the heavy rain,Cassi quickly pulled out her wand to strengthen the charm ebfote focusing her eyes on the pitch to see if anybody was coming her way.

Elvira really tried to remain optimistic, but the rain was making it hard. She flew around, trying desperately to find a glimpse of the snitch. What she wanted was to at least make things even between her and Theodore, but she was starting to worry she wouldn't be able to. At least she had avoided being hit by a bludger, but she still wanted to do better than she was doing so far.

It had been a struggle to play during this weather, even with the charms in place. They were nowhere close to achieving their previous score, though Brendan hadn't expected them to make a repeat of the impressive eight hundred and twenty points, he was at least hoping they'd have managed to score a few goals. He couldn't blame them, it was different when there was rain involved, and they'd never come across this before, but they needed to be prepared for anything. It was good to experience different obstacles.

As it was, the rain was getting heavier, and it was practically impossible to see the other side of the pitch. Deciding it was too difficult to continue, Brendan stopped and blew his whistle, calling everyone back out of the sky. "That's enough for today, everyone. Definitely not our best practice, but most of you still did a good job despite the weather. We'll do better next time. Clearer skies, I promise." He informed them. So they hadn't made any goals, one of the seekers still managed to catch the snitch, and that mattered most. He was just surprised it was the new boy, and not Elvira. The beaters were doing well too, and if they managed to hit the opposing team as much as they were hitting their own teammates during these practices, he had no doubt they'd be able to effectively take out the competition.
