Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice

Seeing how easily Brendan laughed off being thumped with a bludger moments after her, have the third year some reassurance that maybe she'd get used to the pain. Right now she was trying to ignore her throbbing shoulder though, and hoping it wasn't going to effect her hits.

Elvira laughed when Jessica hit Brendan with a bludger, though she hid it behind her hand. Thankfully neither captain seemed all that bothered about it. She couldn't help admiring them both. Though it was Jessica her eye was drawn to more often for obvious reasons. She shook her head, trying to focus on the snitch and not the pretty captain.

Spotting a bludger making its way round the field, Fletcher flew across and got into a good position. Her arm wasn't happy about being used, but making a snap decision to target one of the players closest to her, she raised her arm and smacked it into Jessica's direction. She thought the older student would be able to deal with being hit more easily than some, and besides at least she had her own bat to try and defend herself. Unfortunately Fletcher watched it collide with the player, and this time knowing how much it hurt, gave her Captain an apology.

Feeling a sense of accomplishment finally, Jess flew off in search of more bludgers to hit, hopefully not at her co-captain anymore. As she surveyed the skies, she saw one she could hit and flew towards it. Just as she outstretched her hand to hit it away, she felt a bludger knock her on the other side and hissed out in pain. Jess looked around to see who hit it saw it came from Fletcher, smiling through the pain at the redhead; at least she had good aim. In the process of being hit, Jess had lost the other bludger she was planning to hit and flew off still clutching her side, hoping the pain would subside soon.

Celine winced as she saw a few of her teammates get hit by bludgers in relatively quick succession, but she didn't let it distract her from the chasers who were still making their way towards the hoops.

Elvira was glad she at least she hadn't been hit by a bludger, but she still gave Jessica a sympathetic grimace. She looked around for the snitch once more, but couldn't spot it anywhere.

Fletcher tried not to focus on the fact she'd just hit her Captain, and instead decided to hunt down another bludger.

Just as Jessica swung her bat to hit a bludger towards a player, she saw the heavy ball rocket off into another direction and collide with one of the chasers. She winced at the impact of her hit and saw the red ball fall, and decided enough players had been hit for today. Sica blew the whistle and called out, "Okay, that's enough for today! You guys did great!! New Zealand's got nothing on us, as long as we keep up the hard work!" she added. She didn't want them to get too comfortable with how great they'd done today and not work hard the rest of the year. Afterward she flew down to the ground to gather all the game balls and make sure everyone was okay after their bludger hits during the practice.
