Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice Y41 S1

Xenia prepared herself for one of the other chasers to have a shot on goal, refocusing herself.
 
Hugo suddenly spotted the snitch, not that far away. He grinned and flew forward, grabbing it easily. "Voila!" He called, though for a moment he looked for Aramis to share the victory with, realizing his mistake quickly.
 
Eren hung back, momentarily distracted by the seeker shooting past so he wasn't in position when Xenia threw the quaffle back out. Deciding to be generous, he gave Ophelia some room, curious if she could manage a goal as well. Instead, he watched Hugo grab the snitch, raising an eyebrow at him before calling out. "About time!"
 
Grinning, Hugo let go of the snitch. But the grin melted off his face as one of the chasers yelled at him. Hugo frowned. "Shut up!" He called.
 
As soon as Ophelia got close enough she tried to score, feeling pretty disappointed when it went wide and meant she missed completely.
 
"Yeesh, touchy," Eren said, grinning at the seeker's response. Ophelia didn't managed to make her shot and Eren swooped in, grabbing the quaffle so he could show her how it was done.
 
Somehow the first hit had been lucky, the bludgers werent on her side.
 
Hugo wanted to argue with Eren, or even shove him. But he reminded himself of what Aramis would say and flew off instead.
 
Eren pulled up shorter than he normally would, hoping the distance would make it harder for Xenia to block his shot even if it was a risk. It paid off though, the quaffle flying through the middle hoop. "Just like that," he said to the other chasers, leaning back smugly.
 
Gemma had been busy looking for bludgers when she heard Hugo argue with one of the new chasers and sighed.
 
intent on keeping this streak going, Eren didn't bother letting the other chasers get their hands on the quaffle again, grabbing it as it was thrown back out yet again.
 
Hugo kept looking for the snitch, a bit grumpy about the run-in with Eren.
 
Xenia cheered when the snitch was caught, rolling her eyes when it looked like a fight would start. This distracted her enough that she didn't stop the next attempt on goal. She threw the quaffle out again, getting herself ready to make up for her sloppiness.
 
Eren didn't bother hiding his disappointment when Xenia blocked his shot yet again, clicking his tongue an annoyance and leaning back on his broom. They still had time left in practice, he had a few more goals to make up for.
 
Xenia was relieved to block, giving Eren a smug grin as she threw the quaffle back into play. She very much enjoyed the competition.
 
Eren scooped up the quaffle, pointing defiantly at Xenia when he caught her grinning. "Next one goes in," he warned her, realizing despite his misgivings at the start of practice that he was actually having a good time. And it'd be even better if he could score some more goals.
 
"It had better!" Xenia called back, but she certainly wasn't going to make it easy, as she wanted to give Ilvermony no quarter.
 
Gemma was pretty sure practice would be coming to an end soon so when she spotted a bludger she didn't hesitate before sending it towards one of her fellow beaters. @Élise Moreau
 
Eren grinned when Xenia yelled back, though it faltered as she was able to block yet another shot. "Just testing you," he assured her, backing up on his broom as he recentered to wait for the quaffle to come back out.
 
"Sure, sure," Xenia rolled her eyes, feeling her arm start to get tired when she threw the quaffle again. She'd have to work out a bit more.
 
a bludger came her way and just before she could smash it away it collided with her. That did hurt.
