Victoire was milling around outside the hall, the ceremony had just ended and she was hoping to grab her brother before she left. The woman hadn't thought she'd stick around but she was very proud of her brother in all that he had achieved, so she was happy to celebrate with him a little and at least till him how proud she was of him too. The former gryffindor was certainly enjoying visiting the place that was so familiar, seeing familiar professors, seeing unfamiliar professors, it was just all pretty odd. She had hoped to get a little wonder but the ceremony and her own nervousness about where she'd be allowed to go prevented her from doing so. She spotted her brother as he was leaving, there was quite a crowd milling about, and though Victoire was wearing heels she was still struggling to spot her brother in amongst the rest of the people. She figured being head boy he might be spending more time talking to people. She hadn't but then her graduation had had a somber tone to it, she'd rushed out barely talking to one person. She knew he'd be out soon, he'd seen her during the ceremony itself and invited her, so it was only a matter of time.

Professor Kingsley always enjoyed graduation, though this year's one was bittersweet with her niece graduating. Today, Kiera's absence had hit her much more heavily than usual. As she waited for her family to appear from within the crowd, Professor Kingsley broke away, a familiar face catching her attention. "Victoire?" the professor called out as she neared, a smile on her face as she stuffed into her pocket the tissue she'd been crying into during the ceremony. She'd composed herself by now, knowing Lyra would need her to be bright and happy. "You look so... you look great. It's so good to see you" she said, always happy to see former students looking so well.

Victoire was a little suprrised to hear someone who was definitely not her brother say her name, but as she turned, it made sense, "Professor," a warm expression crossed Victoire's features as she said that, unable to think of anything else to call the woman who had been her head of house and professor to her. It was nice to see her old head of house. The professor didn't seem as bright and cheery as Victoire remembered her being, but certainly the stress of her husband stepping down from his position and the gryffindor's graduating might take a toll on a person. Victoire brushed down her skirt, "Thank you!" she smiled at the compliment, "It's certainly different watching a graduation than having to be in one," she pointed vaguely in the direction of the hall. It had been odd, though perhaps it was just her mixed feelings towards her own graduation, "Though I imagine you are rather used to them," It felt odd, talking to an old professor in a light and conversationalist manner, but it was nice. It felt familiar.

The professor waved a hand dismissively. "I haven't been your professor in ages. Cyndi or Mrs. Kingsley will do" she smiled as she stopped in front of the young woman. She had too many students to keep tabs on all of them, though Victoire had never been a student she'd worried about. She'd come into the school with drive and the professor knew that quality had stayed with her throughout her schooling and would stay with her throughout her life. It seemed the quality was hereditary in her particular family. "Yes, well. Thankfully, they're all a little different so I don't run the risk of falling asleep" she chuckled. "Your family must be so proud. Your brother following in your footsteps. Very impressive" she nodded approvingly.
