Minnie was nervous this wasn’t the first event she was attending as Noel’s date, but it was the first one she was going to as his girlfriend. It was important that she look perfect, to her and to the fact that Noel deserved someone who did so. The whole day had put her slightly on edge. She’d done all of the work she’d assigned herself to be able to come but it was the roses that had her stressed. She’d sent one to Eric, and apology for how she’d been and it had taken most of the day until she’d heard back. It had reassured her that they were friends again - mostly - but as much relief as that had brought it, the on edge feeling had still carried on. She didn’t know why but it did. She smoothed down the skirt of her dress and resisted the urge to fix her hair again as she waited at the entrance for Noel. It would be nice she was sure, Noel was kind and fun, but she was just nervous and would be until he got there. ​

Noel was really happy he would go with Minnie tonight to the Valentines Dance. He hoped she liked the rose and he had brought another here with him to give her. Hoping it wasn't too much, but he liked to show her he liked her. He felt really lucky and had never been that excited before about something. Things had turned out positive between them and he was glad it didn't ruined their friendship if it was only him who cared for her in that way. He walked towards the Great Hall and tried to spot his girlfriend, still that word was strange to Noel it was his first girlfriend, for both it was an new thing. And now they would attend as an couple actually. He came there and smiled as he spotted his beautiful girlfriend. '' Wow. You look great Minnie.'' He than said as he came closer and gave her an kiss on the cheek. He was ready to go if she was also. '' We have to continue our dancing ofcourse. Now you've teach me.'' He said with an grin and hold out his hand for her. '' Oh wait. Almost forgot.'' He than took the rose out of his pocket and gave it to her. This time a red one, just because he liked the colour. He figured he loved her, but he wanted to take things step by step. And follow Minnie in their tempo.​

Minnie spotted Noel easily as he approached, she couldn’t help the light blush on her cheeks at his words. She had never really been one to receive a lot of compliments, and though she blushed she couldn’t help but enjoy them. ”Thanks Noel,” She told him. She leaned into his kiss. She nodded as she took his head, ”Of course,” she replied. She was more than ready to just go out to the dance floor and just dance. She couldn’t wait for the opportunity to just dance with him, their first dance as a real couple. Thoughts of Eric and telling him about this before he found out from some other means remained in her head but she pushed them away, especially as Noel produced a red rose from his pocket. Just two years ago, Minnie hadn’t received a single rose, now she had a red one...She looked up at him, and though she knew what the colour meant and it was clear by his words that he didn’t mean it like that it was still a beautiful gesture. She took it and smiled, ”Noel,” she said softly, ”Thank you,” she couldn’t think of anything other to say than to thank him. She tucked the rose behind her ear and then lightly let go of his hand, moving to cup his face in her hands, her touch soft and without another word leaned in and went to kissed him. She knew she’d end up getting lipstick on his lips but he was her boyfriend, and he was being so nice to her. ​

Noel smiled as Minnie seemed to blush about his compliments. His smile could not be whiped away he was sure the smile would stay this evening. He led Minnie inside and was wondering if Eric had seen them together already. Minnie told him that she and Eric had been friends before and Noel just could not understand it. Though he wanted Minnie to be happy and had given the advice to talk to Eric to make it up. He was wondering how that turned out. She seemed to like the rose and Noel just smiled. '' Your welcome. You deserve it.'' The brown haired boy spoke and when she touched his face with her soft hands he smiled brighter. Feeling in love was the best feeling ever, did Liam felt like this the whole time? Noel had the idea he had it with every girl. But Noel didn't got it with someone else, just Minnie she was special to him. He grinned as their lips didn't touched anymore. '' Lipstick looks good on me for sure.'' He than said with an grin and put an arm around Minnie. '' Can I have this dance from you?'' He than said with an smile and waited for her reaction. ​

Minnie pulled away from the kiss but she lingered close for a moment before pulling away entirely. She was aware of the rose tucked behind her ear and resisted the urge to touch it, to find a mirror and make it sit more perfectly. She noted as she looked at Noel that she had indeed left a little lipstick on him. She smiled with a fond expression at his words, ”Well, red does suit you,” she said with a little smile. She gave a nod at his question, leaning in slightly to his arm as it was around her. ”I’d like that,” she said. She took his hand in hers and began to move towards where they could dance. She turned to him when she could and placed both her hands on his shoulders, perhaps a little more formally than was really necessary but she was still learning what made her comfortable. ”Thanks for the pink rose too, I’ve spent all day smiling at my notes and homework because of it,” and while there had been other things on her mind, this was not false, she had been blushing and smiling at her notes whenever she thought of his rose. ​
