Apparition,6,1This was an important milestone in the life of a wizard, and she knew that many of the students looked at their license as a taste of the freedom they'd earn on their way to becoming fully trained wizards. With the registration list tucked in a folder that was under her arm, the woman stepped into the room. She called attendance, making sure that no one had snuck into the room without paying their galleons. "Good afternoon, sixth years. My name is Irene Finch and I'm here on behalf of the Department of Magical Transportation to prepare you for your apparition exam." Irene paced the front as she spoke, her heels clicking as she moved. "The headmistress has been kind enough to lift the enchantment placed on this room so that you will be able to practice apparating within these walls for the duration of our lessons."

Her voice echoed throughout the room. With so few students and the furniture against the walls, her voice carried easily. The woman looked at a student in the front, her blue eyes piercing into the student. "I will warn you from the start that your ability to apparate will have little to do with what house you are in or your blood status. Your ability to apparate will, however, depend on your ability to focus on the three Ds: Destination.Determination. Deliberation." She enunciated each word. "If you fail to understand these concepts, you will fail your exam. First, you must choose your destination. Next, you will focus your determination and once you feel you are ready..." With a small step, Irene apparated next to one of the sixth years who had been whispering while she was lecturing and continued, "you must move with deliberation like so." She gave the student a sharp look.

Moving towards the front of the room, Irene continued lecturing the students. She knew that some were probably expecting to apparate today but she also knew that the foundation for apparating started with this information. Soon enough their time was up, and they had done nothing but listen. "Don't forget the 3 Ds. I will see you all next time. A word to the wise: Don't bring anything with you to the next lesson. The less you carry, the easier it will be. As a reminder, the moment you step out of this room, the enchantment will be put back in place until next time we meet. It would be very, very unwise to consider apparating anywhere on the school grounds until then." With that, she dismissed the students though she waited a few moments longer in the event that any of the students had questions.

I am sorry for the delay in posting. RP the lesson. Nothing fancy is necessary, but remember that these lessons are so that your student can earn a license. Without it, they can't apparate!
This is just the first of only three lessons before the exam takes place.

Aminia did not partake or even go to many of her classes in her years at Hogwarts, but Apparation was necessary. It was an evil she'd have to face sooner or later, regardless of her nerves. So there the Ravenclaw stood, as the teacher instructed them. She spoke about the concepts, Mini's mind almost too far off to remember what the concepts were even though Irene Finch had said them only seconds before. Perhaps it was because he mind was on Chaser, miles away from her in his own classes. She wondered if he missed her as much as she missed him. The only thing that snapped Aminia into the lesson, was the sharp crack from their teacher apparating, appearing a few students away to interrupt some idle chatter. It was clear she meant business, and from there she listened trying to seem as if she had been from the start. Class being dismissed did little to nothing to help ease the ache in Aminia's stomach, as she knew practice for this class would soon begin.

Apparition was important for what he was planning to do once the school year was over, and luckily for him, he had turned seventeen before the first lesson which meant that he was allowed to follow the course. Had he not turned seventeen before today he would have needed to use portkeys in order to get where he needed to be which he wasn't looking forward to using ever again after the unpleasant experience when using one to get to Jessica's house in Paris. So, determined to learn how to apparate, the Slytherin entered the Great Hall with the other seventeen-year-olds for the first lesson. He listened attentively to the instructor as she began to lecture them about the three D's and nodded every so often to indicate that he was following what was being said. When the woman dismissed them, Asaiah left the Great Hall, eager to get started in the next lesson.

Leo had chosen apparition because after hearing all about it from his one and only brother he wanted to experience it for himself. So, as he entered the great hall, he stood with his classmates, curiously glancing at the woman who stood in front of the room. She looked strict, or maybe her expression was unreadable. Whichever it was, it made Leo want to be determined in this class, to try his best, no matter his brother‘s words on how difficult the chance of passing the apparition exam could be. Apparition could be useful, although Leo was used to the muggle way of travelling. Still, it was better than portkeys. Those still made the Gryffindor feel weird after he used one. The woman in front of them introduced herself, and no wonder she had looked strict - she worked for the Ministry. Leo didn't want to let her stare intimidate him at all costs. It was good to know that if they didn't remember these three Ds they would fail their exam. Nice words of encouragement, he thought to himself, but didn't dare say that out loud. Or so he thought. He smiled sheepishly at Irene Finch as she noticed him whisper and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly as she moved back to the front. Leo caught someone else‘s eye and shrugged at them before he turned his attention back to the woman. When they were dismissed, Leo left the great hall, knowing better than to talk in class next time.

Sianna was looking forward to more fun when she finally graduated, at the very least with apparition this semester, the young woman had plans to go travelling a bit, visit sites that she hadn’t been to in a while. It was a whole photography adventure that she was planning for herself. After all, there was little bringing her home to her family and little keeping her to stick around, one of her friends had gotten engaged so she’d come back for that wedding, but she had no interest in really sticking around in New Zealand, since she didn’t have any other friends. The whole falling apart of her friendship with Lennon because of that stupid girl had left Sianna without anyone to really hang out with. But, it didn’t matter, over the break another of her pictures had been published so she was focusing on that, doing that for a while would be better. She could travel, see places and people and Hogwarts would become a distant memory. However, she still had a little while to go. The girl was putting the final few things into her bag before she walked out of the dorm room, heading straight to class.

Sianna had been looking forward to apparition lessons a lot. They were her gateway to adulthood in the magical world. The teen arrived at the Great Hall with the rest of the people in her year and took her place in amongst them. Sianna had wondered who the apparition teacher was, since she hadn't ever been able to figure it out from the year book. But it was some ministry woman according to her own words. Sianna fought the urge to pull out her notes and write down what they were being told about apparition, she would just have to remember it for the next class they had with her. which would give Sianna time to learn more about it and make her own notes about it. It was however a very brief lecture and they were soon being dismissed. Sianna sighed slightly at the shortness but it gave her even more time to prepare for the next lesson of it, where they would hopefully get to try it.

Ares was busy, as he always seemed to be nowadays, he just had a lot going on. The boy was trying to manage a quidditch team and do alright in his classes. Unlike so many others he had a real struggle when it came to managing his classes. He had to work hard in all of them, study hard for him to get passing grades for them. It meant that Ares was really thinking about what his future might be. He wanted to play quidditch, he of course wanted to play quidditch, but he knew that he needed to have a back up option, quidditch was dangerous, he could get very hurt from it and never play again, and he needed the grades to help him should that happen. But, it was difficult for the Hufflepuff. He had finished up with an early morning solo practice, with a game at the end of the week he needed to be putting in the time for that, to be able to play well enough. The teen took a short shower and then checked the time and noted that he needed to hurry. He grabbed all the books he would need for the day and left the room when ready.

The hufflepuff teen was looking forward to apparition lessons and walked into the great hall to be able to do the first lesson. He had been looking forward to this class ever since his brother had done it. He looked at the teacher as the woman began the lecture. it was clearly quite complex, and difficult thing to do, and Ares didn't want to accidentally splinch himself or fail, it would be really important for him to get better at this. He listened along as the teacher explained how they were supposed to remember how to do it. The three D's that he would have to keep in mind while focusing on not splinching. It would not be good. He didn't want to get this wrong. The boy was glad that they wouldn't be doing it during this lesson, that he would have time to work on remembering all he would need to before having to do the the act itself. But, in saying all that Ares was still excited for it, and certain of himself in doing it. He couldn't wait, honestly, it was going to be fine when he got to try it, but at least he had time to really get ready for it.

Getting engaged to Elysia had been a smart decision, of course it had. There was no one in his life he would ever love as much as he loved her. There was no one he would rather spend a whole amount of time with. It was just perfect, his parents had been happy of course, Elysia was a beautiful pureblood woman, and though their family hadn’t ever really pressed that too heavily it was an underliar to a few thoughts and feelings. He certainly held harsher views though he never vocalised them. The boy was happy to be back at school for once, after all, the short break had left little time for him to see either his fiancee or his friends, both of which he would see in the school. The teen was of course getting ready for the day, as silently as he ever did do so. He wasn’t particularly looking forward to the classes themselves, knowing he would continue to have the same issues with them as he’d always had. But the slytherin pushed those thoughts aside and left the room, eager to head for class to see Elysia again. It would be a good semester, and he wanted to get married the moment the semester ended.

Zared's desire to apparate really came down to the fact he wanted to be as adult as he could be when leaving at the end of this semester, and the apparition was the only thing he could get that would really solidly, all he would need after that were his NEWTs, but for now this would be the thing which allow him that first taste of freedom that he could get. The boy entered the great hall and stood close to his fiancee as the teacher at the front of the room began introducing herself and introducing them how to apparate. He nodded at the three D's and the professor's explanation of them and the way she showed them how to do it. he certainly wouldn't forget the three D's and he would have a good amount of time to get familiar, but if he was honest, it was one of the things that he believe he might actually be good at it. The fact that he could concentrate easily and he was not often distracted by other people, he was sure that that would help him in being good at it.

Eleanor was excited for the next semester of school to start. It was the last semester before her NEWT exams which were followed by the rest of her life and the thought of that was slightly daunting. The Hufflepuff tried not to let this get to her however. She was never usually nervous for exams but the NEWTs were the most important ones and she had only one semester left before she had to prepare for them. Luckily, distracting her was the thought of Jerara and she couldn't be happier about that. It meant she didn't have to sit around thinking of school all of the time and had him to look forward to after each class.

Eleanor did have to admit that she was slightly nervous for her next class. She always assumed that to be able to apparate properly you had to be very accomplished and she didn't consider herself that at all. She knew that if one was not skilled enough that there was a chance that they could splinch and Ellie did not like the idea of getting an arm or leg left behind. Hoping whoever their teacher was could help them and was trustworthy enough, Ellie entered the great hall with her classmates and gathered around as the person from the Ministry spoke. Luckily, the class was not going to try and apparate anywhere just yet and Ellie was thankful for this as she listened to the woman speak about the three Ds. At the end of the lesson, the class was dismissed and Ellie promptly left the Great Hall to head to her next class.

Lilyanna had quite a deserving Christmas break. She had worked hard last semester and was quite happy with where her life was at that point. Her and Diane were doing really well, and even though Lilyanna did not particularly like the concept of having to worry about anyone but herself, she thought she was doing her best and was quite proud of herself. The girl packed everything neatly into her bag before making her way to the great hall for the apparition class. She had dropped quite a few subjects for this year but unfortunately she could not drop apparition as it was compulsory for everyone in the year. She didn't quite like the idea of it as it was quite a dangerous task and the girl reluctantly followed everyone into the great hall, staying close to her sister. She made sure to take notes as the person from the Ministry spoke about the three Ds in hopes that she would remember them when it came to actually apparating. This was important so there was a slightly less chance of dying and Lilyanna didn't even want to be there anyway. When the lesson ended, Lilyanna quickly packed everything away and headed to the library for some study.

Eva had not hesitated when she had chosen her electives this semester. Apparition was necessary, and there was no way she wasn't taking it. It was a lot better than travelling by portkeys or the muggle way, not that she had ever travelled in the muggle world. She arrived to the great hall, not knowing what she should expect from this course. Apparating would also allow Eva to travel quickly, and if she learned how to do so correctly and earn a license she would at least have the liberty to get away from home for a bit after school. She had a year left, but she was old enough to decide her own path. She listened as the woman in the front introduced herself as Irene Finch and she focused on her words, telling them about the three Ds. Eva thought those three words over and over, until they stuck. She couldn't forget them, ever. Splinching did not sound fun and the Gryffindor felt nervous for the upcoming weeks. What if she wasn't good enough? She couldn't not be able to do this, she reminded herself sternly. When the lesson ended Eva left the room with her classmates quietly, hoping to find Eddie.
