🌹 Rose Giving Another Rose For You

It was getting towards the end of the day and Landon was starting to become a little bit worried that he wouldn't deliver all of his roses in time. This last rose to deliver was a little difficult, mostly because he wasn't sure where he could find Manaia. He had tried almost every room in the castle, but there had been no luck so far, so decided to make his way outside where he hoped he could locate him. With the sun beginning to set however, he wasn't sure how lucky he would be. Sighing, Landon looked around at the few people at the lakefront, until he noticed the boy, and he quickly made his way over. "Manaia! How are you?" he asked, wanting to have a bit of a conversation first.

As much fun as Valentines was, the rose deliveries could get a little chaotic at times. It was nice to step away for a bit with his guitar and enjoy the sunshine. Manaia had settled by the lake and was idly plucking out a tune from his head as he stared out over the water. He wasn't paying any attention to the chaos of the school behind him until he heard his own name, hands not stilling on the guitar as he looked over. "Oh, hey Professor." He greeted his Head of House with a smile. "I'm alright, just taking a moment."

Landon noticed the guitar and frowned a little as Manaia said he was just taking moment. "Are you alright?" he asked softly, raising an eyebrow. He always hoped that if any of his students had issues that they would feel comfortable talking to him about it. "I came to deliver a rose for Valentine's Day for you. I hope you like it." He reached into his basket to pull out the pink rose and held it out to him with the note attached to the stem. He wasn't sure what the note said, but he could only hope that it was a nice message that might make him feel a little better if he was down.

Manaia was surprised by the professor's concern, nodding quickly. "Yeah, just needed some peace and quiet." He said with a smile, which froze on his face when he saw what the professor had for him. "Oh." He felt his face heat with embarrassment. Manaia hadn't even realised professors were allowed to deliver roses, and there was something strangely humiliating about a teacher giving him a note from his crush. "Uh, thanks Professor." He said, taking the rose quickly, not wanting to look at the note until he was alone. "Was there anything else?"
