🌹 Rose Giving again?

When Jonah spotted the name on his list, he frowned. Again? Last year, he distinctly remembered delivering a rose to the Hufflepuff Head of House and even asking Eli to come with him to do so. He wondered if his siblings had intentionally put the professor on his list this year, but he didn't really think so. Hina wasn't nearly so mean to do it intentionally when she knew he wasn't exactly comfortable with the professor and considering Eli had come with him last year, he doubted it was him. So he supposed he was just unlucky. But it was okay, he had Lumos this time. Although delivering it at the Staff Table was his best option and well, they haven't really... told Lumos' parents? So he'd had to sort of deliver this on his own even though his boyfriend was waiting by the Slytherin table for him to wrap this up. "Professor," he said as he approached the Hufflepuff Head of House and held out a yellow rose with a note.

As Landon saw Jonah approach him at the professor's table, he tried not to notice, looking down at his scrambled eggs in front of him. He was excited that the boy was finally going to speak to him again, but also didn't want to scare him away. He wondered what he was going to say and Landon had to admit that he was also feeling a little nervous at the interaction that was soon to be. As Jonah spoke, Landon quickly looked up and beamed, until he noticed the rose that he was holding out to him. Jonah didn't actually want to talk to him - he was simply delivering a rose for Valentine's Day. Landon couldn't help the small frown as he took the rose, but then tried smiling again as he read the note. "Thank you." he said simply, knowing the boy wouldn't want him to say much else.
