Lucy smiled to herself as she gracefully sauntered through the throng of students in the Great Hall. She'd had to use magic to keep a lot of this dress in place, but she felt a bit like a muggle supermodel when she managed to pull it off. Of course, she didn't have the body to be a supermodel - she wasn't super skinny, by any means, but she felt she looked good all the same. And no doubt, when she got home tonight, Landon was going to love her outfit. She chuckled softly as she swept around the room, keeping an eye on proceedings. She'd heard that in the last Halloween feast, there'd been an incident involving gender fudge and a few students getting in to trouble. She hoped nothing of the sort would happen this evening.

Lucy only taught fifth, sixth and seventh years, and all her students seemed quite responsible, even if not entirely excited about the subject matter. It was the younger students, generally, that she had to keep an eye on. They seemed more the type to get involved in silly pranks. And sure, silly pranks could be fun at times, as long as they didn't hurt anybody or cause major incidents. Which apparently had happened last time.

Twirling her wand between her fingers, Lucy, as gracefully as she could manage, sat down on a chair and summoned herself a glass of pumpkin juice. Halloween hadn't been her thing when she was a student, but surprisingly, as a teacher, she intended to have an enjoyable evening.

Elvera had always loved the halloween feast. and even after years of spending it in the school she was looking forward to it. she had spent most of the day with morgan her mum and Eden. (they would be spending the following day with Lilith. It was sad that her sisters weren't talking any more. It made family get togethers sort of awkward. another thing was hanging over the family. the fact that they were (or at least Evera was) constantly thinking about morgause. tonight though she really could let her hair down and let the atmosphere and buzz from the students was enough to take her mind off it.
she went up to her office and changed. maybe she was wrong by thinking she would be able toilet her hair down. as she secured her long hair which had been down all day up under a short pink wig.
She headed down the the great hall trying to get a little more into character. bright young and energetic. something that she wasn't feeling particularly. she reached the great hall and sought out the lollies. if she was going to act hyperactive she may as well have a little more sugar in her system than usual.
She made her way around the room keeping an eye out for students causing trouble. the previous year there had been pranks. last year there was an incident with gender fudge. and it wasn't just that year when she had been in the school a student had spilt red pain over her. she stopped a couple of younger students who were pouring chilly into the raspberry ice-cream source. she eventually saw someone she knew quite well standing near the drinks table. "good evening Lucy. she said smiling brightly like her costume person would. "great costume. what exactly are you. a sauceress?" she asked not quite sure who the lady was but having a guess. her dress the dress was pretty, though certainly not something that she was going to ever bee seen wearing the front was far too low cut. she much preferred classically cut clothing though she had to admit the other professors skirt was very stylish.

Lucy had to double take at the person who came up next to her. "Woah, Elvera!" she exclaimed, stunned and amused by her costume. It was so...different from how she usually looked. And pretty funny, too. "That's such a great costume!" she chuckled, truly meaning it. She looked a little embarrassed when Elvera asked about her own costume. "Heh, yeah. Muggle sorceress, enchantress. One of those wicked witch types," she laughed. "I think the real scary part is actually wearing it, though. I'd never be caught dead in something like this usually," she clarified. She was generally pretty respectable in terms of clothing choices - she had a penchant for cardigans and pretty skirts and dresses. Librarian style, her grandmother had called it.

"Seen any signs of trouble?" she asked, her eyes quickly darting around the room before returning to Elvera. The kids seemed to be behaving well enough so far, but the night was still young. Selfish as it was, though, she didn't want there to be any drama, mostly so she could go home earlier, spend time with Landon before covering up in pyjamas and curling up in bed. But, this was part of her job, so if trouble came up, she'd be there to try and stop it.

Elver smiled at the look on Lucy's face when she saw her. "Thanks. I thought this year i should have " she said smiling. she had found the wig and a doll that looked like it had the wig on and she had built the costume from there. "defiantly one of the wicked ones. turning people into toads if they don't do what you want. you can pull it off well" she said smiling.
"not too much is going on that i have seen." she said looking around in case she could see anything else. "just some first yers trying to switch chilly source with the raspberry ice cream source on the hufflepuff table" she said. it would have been a good prank if they hadn't been spotted. "the students now are a lot better behaved then when we were here. can you remember Hoshi Koshiba and her antics. gosh i am glad i wasn't a professor back then" she said remembering one of her 'friends' when she was in her first few years and how she has always caused trouble in some form or another.
