My biggest addiction is the internet.
It is fairly efficient at destroying all productivity and keeps me online until the early hours of the morning. I pass up social events to stay connected and put off doing chores like ironing, washing, cleaning and preparing my dinner in order to prolong the time spent on it. Even now I should be doing some work. It's very, very bad. And it's not as if I'm doing anything useful on it. In fact, I often find myself searching for something else to do online so I can remain connected.
It is destroying my life. And even tools like leechblock don't work as I just disable them. The problem is that unlike most addictions, it is impossible for me to avoid using it. All my course information and resources are online.

I didn't play the originals, though.
I played Sapphire and Ruby and that's about it. :p
AND I HATED FIRE RED WITH A PASSION.
So dumb.
SOOOOOO dumb.
 
Well it's not nearly as good as the original Red, but still.

The newer games (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and Black/White) are jam packed with plot. PLOT EVERYWHERE. And Black/White are Pikachu/Zubat/any previous Pokemon free (until after the Elite Four anyway).

Also I'm addicted to vodka and orange juice.

(actually I can pace one pack over two days, but it takes a lot of self control).
