As a Taurus born on May 18th, you are well known for a patient and loyal nature. While others are quick to express their frustrations, you prefer to present understanding and patience in all your dealings. These qualities can make you a natural mediator, as others benefit from your calm diplomacy. Although your patience is commendable, your most admirable quality may be your loyalty. You are extremely loyal and devoted to all of your loved ones. There have been very few occasions where you did not defend or protect a loved one in need.

Wand: Curly 14 Inch Swishy Poplar Wand with Unicorn Hair Core

Length: A little on the longer side of things, wands of this length are slightly more uncommon and not easily forgotten by others.
Style: Great care was taken in crafting this wand's wood to spiral to its point, giving it a beautiful aesthetic quality.
Wood: 'If you seek integrity, search first among the poplars' - this saying reveals much of the character of this wandwood and the magical folk that it chooses.
Core: The animal is known for its healing qualities and unbridled beauty, so it is no surprise that wands with unicorn hair are particularly successful at performing healing spells. Wands with this core bond with their first caster, making wands with this core not good as hand-me-downs. These wands are useful with charms and transfigurations.
Flexibility: Swishy: A wand which can quickly cast spells but may need to cast more than one to accomplish the job.
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Personal
Personality: Acacia is the kind of girl who's cool for the right reasons. Friendly and kind, she easily makes new friends in any group. Though her family expects high achievement of her, Acacia has never taken school very seriously, preferring to prioritise fun with friends and her own passions. She is rarely stressed or bothered by anything, remaining calm under any kind of pressure. She can be somewhat of a pushover at her own expense though, she would rather avoid conflict and will sometimes fold on things she believes in in order to keep the peace.

-Acacia genuinely cares very deeply for her friends, and will always do everything she can for them.
-Acacia isn't shy at all, approaching meeting new people headfirst.
-Acacia takes things very easy, and is rarely affected by stress.
Weaknesses:
-Acacia finds it hard to take responsibilities seriously, and will often put important things aside for the sake of her friends.

-Acacia would rather rely on those around her than take charge and be independent.

Fashion - Acacia has a strong sense of style, and dedicates a lot of time to keeping up with the latest trends.
Tennis - Acacia has played tennis since she was young, though never at a competitive level.
Personality Type: ENFP (The Campaigner)
The Campaigner personality is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike types in the Explorer Role group, Campaigners are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd.

Strengths: Curious, Observant, Energetic and Enthusiastic, Excellent Communicators, Know How to Relax, Very Popular and Friendly
Weaknesses: Poor Practical Skills, Find it Difficult to Focus, Overthink Things, Get Stressed Easily, Highly Emotional, Independent to a Fault.
History: Acacia's parents met at a benefit dinner for magical orphans living in poverty, and it was love at first sight. Two high-achieving go-getters, it was a match made in heaven. Robert an extremely successful Potioneer, selling his newly developed potions at many high-end markets, Melanie working for the government. They admired one another's successes in life, and once they married, continued to support one another's professions and strive to do greater and greater things. Unfortunately for the couple's ambitions, it soon became evident that the same could not be said for their two children. While Acacia was growing up, a happy and healthy child from a wealthy family enjoying the fun and glamour of LA life, Cedar's marks and behaviour at Ilvermorny were disappointing his parents. Seeing the same lack of drive in Acacia, they decided to send her to a more disciplined school with less distractions, in the hopes that she would dedicate herself to her studies the way that her parents had. Acacia never saw any point in this though, wishing to be back where her friends and family and life were.
Health: Acacia is in excellent health.

First Year

Acacia arrived at school unsettled, and trying to make the best of a bad situation. Being ripped away from everything she was familiar with to come to school didn't make Hogwarts an especially welcoming place in her eyes, and she struggled a bit, with pushing down her frustration and trying to make friends. She did manage to meet a few people she liked though, especially finding comfort in the sisterhood of Heta Omega. Gradually settling into her place at Hogwarts over time, Acacia made it through her first year alright, though she was relieved to see Cedar again when the holidays started.

The whole way to school, Acacia hadn't been able to help comparing everything she saw to what her brother had described of Ilvermorny. She had spent so long thinking about everything Cedar had told her, waiting for the day when it was her turn, but... here she was, on the wrong side of the entire world. No mountaintop school but a creepy forest instead. Travelling from a brilliant summer to a dismal winter. It was hard to stay positive when everything felt so strange and unfamiliar, and so unlike everything she had been looking forward to for the last five years.

Staying with the group of her soon-to-be classmates, despite all her disappointment Acacia couldn't help but be enchanted as they entered the Great Hall, and her eyes fell upon the beautiful ceiling. She stared up at the stars above, imagining what it would be like to eat in such a beautiful room every day. And there they were, the tables, and just like her parents had promised, they were separated into four houses. They weren't the same ones Cedar had told her about, but it was at least some small comfort. And surely the sorting ceremony would be just as exciting and dramatic as he had described.

Acacia watched with excitement as the first of her classmates was called to be sorted, wondering what would decide their fate in a place like this. Surely that tatty hat was going to make something thrilling happen. But instead after a pause it just announced the name of one of the houses, and the student went and sat at that table. Was that it? Cedar had talked about how exciting it was to watch an enormous statue move to announce that it wanted him as a student. This felt... anticlimactic. But before she had time to ponder it more, Acacia realised that the list of students had already reached the D-s.

"Dunn, Acacia!"

Steeling herself, Acacia held her head high and shoulders back as she made her way to the stool, very aware that the eyes of the whole school were on her. Acacia tried to smile to hide her nerves and worries, but it didn't come out quite as broad or strong as she intended. As the hat was placed on her head she closed her eyes and waited, hoping that at the very least her house colours wouldn't clash with her wardrobe.
"Better be Hufflepuff!"

Second Year
wOHqk2B.png

Although seeing her brother at the beginning of the year was a relief, Acacia still felt miserable, disconnected from everything and everyone she loved. She spent most of the year drifting, barely making friends or talking to anyone, hoping and praying that maybe if her grades at Hogwarts were worse than Cedar's grades at Ilvermorny, she would stand a chance of her parents transferring her back, though this was to no avail. She did eventually bond more with one of her roommates though, helping Emilia learn how to do her makeup reminding Acacia fondly of doing the same with her friends in America.

Third Year
ERMFvKH.png

Acacia's third year brought a change for the better. After a holiday at home, Acacia was no longer alone when she returned to New Zealand for school. Her brother Cedar relocated, moving from the US after graduating Ilvermorny to join her in New Zealand, in protest of their parents shipping Acacia away. Bolstered by her brother's support, Acacia finally felt more settled in New Zealand, starting to come out of the shell she had built around herself. She spent the year making a few friends, and had a realisation late in the year that there was something different about the way she looked at girls. A game of spin the bottle with her classmates confirmed to Acacia that she was interested in girls in a way she wasn't interested in boys, though she was unfortunately distracted from that discovery by a friend being betrayed by her boyfriend, something Acacia felt very angry over.

In the holiday before her fourth year, Acacia was pleasantly surprised to run into some schoolmates while spending a little bit of time with her parents in America. Upon returning to Hogwarts she relaxed into the life that had become familiar, spending time with her friends and throwing herself into club activities. Before the Valentines dance, Acacia shared a moment with a roommate who she couldn't keep her eyes off, and Acacia felt her crush on Maggy blossoming.

Fifth Year
BLAdQAu.png

Acacia began her fifth year with what felt like a new attitude. For the first time ever, she hadn't returned to the US once. Growing angrier and angrier with what her parents had done to her, she refused to see them at all, instead spending the holidays with her brother in New Zealand, picking up a job at Gladrags to try and help with the bills. Returning to Hogwarts, she was more determined than ever to see this as home, and forget about her life back in California. To her shock though, returning to Hogwarts Acacia was greeted by a familiar face, a friend she had had as a child had transferred to HNZ. The happiness of her newfound peace carried Acacia through the year for the most part, though she was frustrated to find a girl who had been incredibly rude to her had been given a position in Heta Omega over her. Trying to ignore that anger, Acacia stayed active in the club and spent time with her friends, including Maggy, who she still couldn't shake her crush on.

Her anger at her parents for shipping her away to school finally caught up with Acacia, and she made the difficult but necessary decision to cut them out of her life entirely, choosing to spend all of her holidays in New Zealand with her brother from now on. Now that she had her own income Acacia valued her own independence, proud to be taking her life into her own hands and walking away from the path her parents wanted for her. At school she took matters into her own hands too, and after liking Maggy for years she finally had the courage to confess her crush, relieved to discover that her roommate felt the same way.

Acacia's final year at Hogwarts was a blessedly quiet one, time the Hufflepuff took to reflect on what she wanted from her future. She was pleased to be made Social Chair in Heta Omega after seven years in the club, and enjoyed the leadership role amongst her sisters. She decided that she would need to find a way to focus her passions, and by the time she graduated, Acacia had settled on the career she wanted to work towards for her future, a future she hoped would be bright.

Being here today almost didn't feel real. Acacia remembered long ago as an angry child deciding that she was going to drop out just before graduation, just to spite her parents. Now, though... that would feel silly. She had come so far here, and she wanted the chance to say goodbye to her classmates properly. Her parents were very pointedly not in attendance, and Acacia was over the moon to have the people who actually supported her here today instead. Cedar and Jeong had taken her in when it became clear her parents would never care about her as a person, and it was a relief to have them here today, supporting not the person her parents wanted her to be, but the person she was.

Acacia never really had the patience for speeches, but she was excited to hear the head girl. Even though Analei wasn't her closest friend, Acacia had always loved the time they spent together, and knew Analei would always hold a special place in her heart. The speech was touching, and she applauded loudly, cheering for her friend when it was over. She had never really known the head boy, so she wound up tuning his speech out, only paying attention when names started to be called. Being right at the start of the alphabet had its advantages, and Acacia hopped up quickly when she was called, unable to help the beaming grin on her face as she made her way onto the stage. As mixed as her feelings still were about graduating, she couldn't help the rush of pride as she took the certificate from the headmistress, shaking the woman's hand with a smile. Even if this was exactly what her parents had wanted from her, she had done it on her own terms, not theirs. With the certificate in her hand she returned to her seat, waving quickly at Cedar before she sat down, grinning with pride. Now it was time to start her own life, her own way.
