Being asked to go with Juniper to the ball had been odd, he hadn’t particularly known the girl, but he’d said yes, because Ajaccio would never turn down an opportunity to do something different and going to the ball with Juniper rather than with say Andy or even alone was different. The ravenclaw wasn’t sure what to expect, with andy things had been simple, they were friends and they went to the ball as friends. He didn’t think it would be too different, but then he didn’t know Juniper like he had known Andy. He had told Juniper, like he had with Andy that he didn’t own any suits, but he would make the best effort to dress as nicely as possible. So, he was wearing his school shirt, and a pair of jeans, he’d made an attempt to tame his hair, to push it away from his face and keep it from just sitting as wildly as it tended to. There was a visible effort to make it sit a little more normally, but whether it was successful would be up to those around him, and particularly likely up to Juniper. Ajaccio smoothed his hands on his shirt and pushed down his nervousness, this would be good, they would have fun. He’d make sure of it, and Juniper seemed like a fine person to have fun with and he welcomed the opportunity to get to know her better. ​

Juniper was dressed down a little more than she would usually have for an event like this, but Ajax had said he was wearing jeans so as to not out do her date. She had put some gems in her hair and was wearing a sparkley ear cuff on her left ear with matching shoes. Other than that, she felt pretty casual. She made her way into the great hall and found Ajaccio. She thought he looked nice and walked over to tell him so. "Hey, you look great," she said with a smile. "You wanna get something to drink, or are you a big dancer?" She was open to either idea, but she was really enjoying the music playing.
