A Garden Stroll

Asher looked over at Sakura when she explained that Cedric was her uncle. She looks so proud...I would be too... Asher smiled at her. "Cedric was amazing at school and in the TriWizard tournament, and I'm sure we can expect the same from his niece." She said giving Sakura a kind smile.

When Asher spoke Sakura's heart felt as if it had swollen to bursting point. She felt proud to be just standing there with her and knew it didn't matter who liked Noah more or who won his heart. Sakura had the feeling she was making another really good friend.

"thanks Asher" she smiled at her.

Asher nodded at Sakura. "I never say things that aren't true." Asher greatly admired Cedric and his sacrifice. Though Asher's family had strong connections to the Dark Lord, she knew that Cedric's death had been a horrible thing that should never have happened.

Harri smiled "Oh I'm Gryffindor too!" she said smling at Sakura "Oh I'm sorry to hear that,"Harri said truthfully "Well I hope one of you gets the place," she siad trying to change the subject "Have you been preapering for a long time?" she asked, sure that they probably had seeing as it was such a big tournament.

Sakura looked at her and smiled.
"Harri we didn't get told until we started back at school this year, it was probably the same for the fourth and fifth years here and Durmstrang. None of us have had any specific training. Just I suppose the duelling club spells and what we've learnt in class, quidditch if we need to fly or catch things. You just never know what kind of trials will be at these tournaments. So you can't really be prepared" she looked at Alex and Asher to see if they felt the same before turning back to Harri, "And don't worry you've nothing to be sorry for. As Asher said he was .. is a hero in every sense of the word".

Harri smiled her cheeks a little pink "Oh yeah.." she mumbled "but do you feel prepered? And confident?" she asked feeling her cheeks return to normal colour. "I'm sure he was," she said nodding with admiration.

Asher nodded along with Sakura as she spoke about the fact that they had no way to prepare for the tournament. She was very glad that they seemed to get along so far. Asher smiled meekly at Sakura. "We know that Sakura will make Cedric and her family proud, no matter what happens here..." Asher said matter of factly. "I'm not gonna say that I'd rather not get picked, because it would be quite the honor..." Asher paused to smile at Sakura to show that she was teasing, "But, no matter who makes it from Hogwarts Scotland I'll be proud."

Harri smiled "I can't wait till it begins! It'll be so exciting to watch!" she said happily "Of course Hogwarts New Zealands going to win though..." she said smiling cheekily, of course she was joking but she really did hope her school would win.

"HA!" Asher goffawed loudly and then covered her mouth. "Sorry..." she mumbled blushing. "I just couldn't help it...the students that have come from Hogwarts Scotland are some of the best at everything..." Asher said with pride.

Sakura laughed suddenly considering a point that Asher had made.
"Don't let Professor Mortis hear you say you'd be proud whoever makes it from our school, if its not one of you Slytherins he'll probably explode and will never let you or Noah live it down".

She paused and looked at Asher, she had said his name and not crumbled. She had said his name and not wanted to break into tears. Smiling at Asher she knew and had probably known all along deep down that herself and Noah had truly finished a long time ago, no matter what hope she might have had for anything else it really didn't seem to matter anymore.

Asher turned to Sakura when she heard her mention Noah. She hoped it wouldn't hurt her. Then, Asher noticed that Sakura seemed to be smiling. Asher returned the smile but was unsure of what was going on. What does her smile mean...I still can't think of Noah without some sort of emotional response...could she be ok with me liking him...I hope so...I really would like her as a friend and be able to put everything behind us...no matter what the out come with Noah... "Oh...yes I forgot about Professor Mortis. Please don't tell him I said that..." Asher joked with mock panic.

Alex listened to te girls have their cnversation. 'Say what?'he said jokingly before smiling. 'And yeah, he probably would explode if he heard that.'he said laughing at the thought.

"Whos Professor Mortis?" Harri asked thinking he must be the head of Slytherin as well as an important Professor.

"He's the Head of Slytherin House and our Potions Master. He holds VERY high standards for us Slytherins." Asher responded being sure to emphasize her point. "It can get rather stressful...he holds particularly high standards for Noah..." she recalled absentmindedly.

Sakura smiled remembering in her third year how Mortis had not been at all happy with Noah for dating a Gryffindor but Noah could care less and had defended her on numerous occasions to him.

"He's a great potions professor but he really does need to take a calming draught once in a while. Think he was born wound up too tight or something but you're safe Asher we won't tell. Sure we won't Alex?" she grinned winking at him and playfully nudging him.
"Lips are sealed" she mimicked sealing her lips and throwing away and imaginary key before laughing.

Asher giggled at Sakura. "Thanks...and yea, maybe Noah can convince him to take one!" she joked.

Harri laughed "Sounds ..nice," she said laughing, "So what year are you two in?" she asked gesturing the two girls.

"Well I'm a fourth year...obviously I was rather surprised when my name got called to come for the competition. I never imagined that they would pick as many fourth years as they did." Asher babbled.

Harri nodded "That must have been great!" she said smiling "Were you really happy?" she asked thinking this probably a very obvious question.

"She's a tough cookie, they only picked the best huh Asher?" she grinned at the girl, "I'm fifth year theres a handful of us here too. Five I think the other four being fourth years. Thats right isn't it?" she turned to seek confirmation from the other two.

Alex smiled and listned to the girls. He nodded when Sakura nudged him but didn't say anything. HE also rolled his eyes on the comment on only the best came. 'I don't know. Don't expect me to answer. I only get up to P3 level in maths,'he said, smiling.

Sakura laughed and stood infront of Alex to block him from the group.
"Ok well the rest of us are pretty well deserving of being here then. So Harri what class are you in? We're here chatting away about ourselves but you haven't told us a thing about you or your school".

Alex moved to see but Sakura stood in fornt of him. 'Exactly,'he added, trying to dodge infront of her, suceeding only because of his fast running speed. He felt it unfair that just because he wasn't as tall as Sakura that she had to stand infornt of him.

Sakura laughed again as Alex made an attempt to get infront of her and sidestepped to let him back into the fold.
"I was kidding Alex really" she continued to laugh before turning back to Harri.
"Alex you'd be interested in knowing a bit more about her wouldn't you? How about you Asher?"

Alex laughed. 'I know that,'he said smiling. 'yeah. Time for the three-degree Harri. Literally,'he said joking hoping she would get it.
