A Brotherhood-Sized Bet

Nina grinned as she watched this all unfold, it was all too amusing to her. Then she rolled her eyes at the Durmstrang responses knowing that this was all fake.
 
Zoe assumed by the looks of it, that they had to kiss the pig. She heard one of the durm boys call the other 'Dom', so Zoe said, "Good thing your magic only works on a pig." She said to him, with a sly smirk on her face. She wasn't exactly sure what or who he meant by 'sloppy seconds', but she was sure it wasn't good. After making Bruin wear that dress, everyone was probably going to enjoy what was coming for those boys.
 
Kat was still laughing, but it had calmed down a considerable amount over the last few moments. She was waiting to see if these two dim wits would actually follow through and kiss the pig. They didn't seem to be that tough though. She smirked as Nic asked who should kiss the pig first and then as Dom answered him, but she couldn't help but notice the sweeping glance that Dominik gave from Bruin to herself. He's calling me sloppy seconds? Kat thought. Her fists clenched tightly and her eyes glazed over with moisture as she muttered under her breath, "I am not." Kat bit her cheek to keep from saying anything and wiped her face quickly, hoping that no one would notice the few tears that had managed to escape her eyes. She didn't think that anyone could be quite so hurtful, but then again these two always took the cake. No more crying, not over these two goons she thought to herself as she swallowed hard against the lump that had formed in her throat. She just wanted to get this over with right now and have her revenge. Then she wanted them to get back on their boat and leave here permanently, taking all memories of their presence with them.
 
Nina noticed Katalina's reaction to the boy named Dom's words and although she barely knew the girl she hated seeing people cry and she snarled at the boy, "Shut up and kiss the pig boy!" Nina's hands clenched into fists and her eyes turned icy and cold, but quite protective over the girl. Nina glanced over at Bruin curiously wondering if he had planned this out with Kat then glanced over at Katalina softly and smiled nicely then turned her head sharply to the boy and a low growl came out of her lips once more.
 
Bruin didn't think it was within his nature to truly hate anyone. He had been raised to realize that people make mistakes and to be forgiving, but what Dom had just implied with his comment was beyond forgiveness as far as Bruin was concerned. Bruin stepped forward between the Durmstrang boys and Sue, quickly ushering the pig back to Willie.

"Change of plans boys...sorry, but I think Sue is too good for either of you!" Bruin said with a bit of an edge to his voice, working hard to keep himself from slugging Dom. "Actually, come to think of it we all are..." He added, clearly indicating that he was leaving and hoping that the Durmstrang boys would follow his example by crawling back to their ship and never returning.

The whole point of this for Bruin was to deliver a simple message to the Durmstrang boys about what it meant to be a REAL man and he knew the time had arrived to simply state it. "Hey Dom...you know just because you have a ****, doesn't mean you have to be one!" Bruin glared at the boy as he delivered these words in a calm, matter-of-fact tone, wondering if he would ever get the message.

Bruin shook his head slowly, somewhat frustrated by how this had all worked out. He smiled a little as he turned his back to the Durmstrang boys and looked towards his friends. Bruin held his gaze on Kat for a moment, hoping that she wouldn't let Dom's pathetic words hurt her and realize that she took second place to no one.
 
Rhyspa was absolutely furious when she heard what Dom implied about Katalina. That was going way too far. To mess with her feelings was fine, but her best friends was out of the question. She was going to say something, but Bruin was already making his way to Dominik. Rhyspa's jaw dropped when Bruin finally spoke what he really wanted to Dom and Nic. She was absolutely speechless and ecstatic. He was right too. Just because they had one, didn't mean they had to act like it.
 
Hilary was shocked with the Durmstrang boys' reactions to the pig in front of them. It seemed for a moment that they were actually planning on kissing it. Boys'll be boys... Hilary thought to herself partly out of disgust. The things they'd do for their 'honour and pride'. Then suddenly Dom mentioned with an obvious point that Kat was simply Nic's sloppy seconds. Then she realized, that was what she did, she had taken Kat's seconds.

She waited a few moments to listen to what it was Bruin had to say and she realized that he was right. It was now or never for her. She shook herself free from Nic's grasp and looked right into his face. Part of her just wanted to scream at him, but instead she swallowed once and said in a slightly snappy but matter of fact tone, "He's right. We're ALL too good for you, have a nice life Nic." She gave him a look that was sort of half cold smile, half glare before turning away from them towards where Kat and the others were.
 
Lily had been standing back and taking in all that had happened. She was amazed at the reaction of both the Dumbstang boys and of her fellow students. Kat had filled her in about what had happened at the Ball with Nicolae, and what transpired after. She felt they completely got what they deserved when Bruin brought out the pig for them to kiss.

What shocked her was that they did not seem to falter at the idea of kissing the pig, and then when Nic's friend went and called Kat sloppy seconds, she was beside herself. If Kat or Bruin didn't slug his smug face, she would! She put her arm around Kat, whispering low enough for her to hear. "Want me to slug him for ya? I would. Prefect badge or not I swear I will."
 
Nina hadn't missed what Lily said and she turned to Kat and whispered so only they could hear her, "I'll do it if you like, lord knows I could use a stress reliever." Nina grinned at the two girls then stood up straight her wand firmly in her hand and she gave them a smug smirk and then turned back to the natives as she liked to call them.
 
Nic was on the verge of laughter as Dom moved to kiss Sue, but then made a crack about the Ice Princess being sloppy seconds, and he could see the attitude in the crowd change. He inhaled sharply and quickly, waiting for the backlash that he could feel building. Bruin's words were sharp and true to their target, but he was not going to let on that they hurt, even the tiniest bit. Even when Hilary walked away from him, he stood there, stoically, watching the scene until he found the words to say.

"Well, Bruin, its obvious that being a **** is not just reserved for the foreigners," he said calmly and evenly. Turning to Hilary, "and as for you, its been fun sweetheart, but you meant nothing. It was all part of the game. Thanks for helping me win." He winked at her before continuing. "Dom, I think I will take my prize back on the ship. Don't want to flaunt our bet all over the place."

Noting the fact that Yvan was settled in nicely with the girls, he decided to try to take him down a notch with them. "Yvan, too bad you wussed out halfway through the year. Might have gotten some action yourself. Would have done you some good. See you on the boat buddy."

Nic then turned and began to walk across the lawn towards the ships, his palms sweating, but still doing his best to maintain a calm and superior exterior.
 
As Bruin began walking the short distance back to the group, he couldn't help but overhearing Hilary's parting words to Nic. To be honest, seeing Hilary at Nic's side throughout the entire episode had bothered him and he was beginning to wonder just what kind of a hold that he had over her. It was apparent that whatever bond that had existed was now severed and Bruin couldn't help feeling pleased that the list of allies the boys could count on now stood at zero.

The expressions on the faces of Bruin's friends were difficult to read, but he got the distinct impression that some of them felt that the Durmstrang boys had gotten off lightly. Personally, Bruin didn't really care as long as they left and he wasn't forced to look at their smug expressions ever again. But then, Nic went and opened his big yap again....

Bruin turned when he heard his name, but dismissed Nic's initial comment about him as easily as shooing away a fly...being called a name by that piece of trash wasn't going to cause Bruin to lose any sleep. And then the other shoe dropped as Nic proceeded to brag about how Hilary had been just another one of his conquests.

"Awww sh1t...." Bruin muttered. Please tell me he didn't just say that! He thought to himself, knowing that this comment alone was likely to set off World War Three. With at least two teachers in the immediate vicinity, Bruin knew that the likelihood of him charging down Nic and beginning a fight was almost a certain expulsion given his track record with fisticuffs. He looked at the others, wondering if there was any way that Yvan could help them exact some revenge in a more discreet manner.
 
Nina's eyes narrowed coldly at the boy and her stomach turned into knots when he said that Hilary had just been another piece of meet, she felt like she would go and attack the boy, though she wasn't close to Hilary she had a lot of problems when boys treated girls so poorly, because she had experience with it. Nina quickly glanced at Bruin when he swore to herself, she knew that there were two Professor's around but she really wanted to make sure that the boys got what was coming to them a swift kick to the cajones (sp?). Nina gripped her wand harder and her eyes narrowed coldly at the boys.

Kat felt Bruin's gaze on her, but she only glanced at him once, not wanting to completely lose it in front of those two losers. She watched the exchange go down between her friend and the two Durm boys. Kat was barely aware of the people that were whispering to her when Nic spoke his piece, in the process insulting Bruin and saying that Hilary was just another part of the game, Kat snapped. Every bit of hatred that she had felt towards Nicolae Kobori since December had finally come to a head and was now exploding. With blind rage she took off after Nic as he turned and walked away. This had started off as her fight, and she had brought innocent people into it. Now was time for this to stop. She grabbed Nic's arm and stopped him right where he stood. "You are a foul toad you dumb bastard." With that Kat threw her best right hook and it connected right with Nic's jaw. She grabbed her hand and and muttered under her breath, "Ouch!" It hurt like heck and she was sure she'd get in trouble for it, but it was the best feeling in the world. She faced him once more and said with an ominous glare, "You picked the wrong girl to screw with. I don't want to see your or Dom's ugly mug off of that ship the rest of your time here. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!" She practically yelled out the last part, making sure he got the point.

Kailey had long since pieced the history together with Kats story and her actions today she felt a sense of victory just seeing her friend do that and had to bite back a cheer as Kat punched the blonde pig. GO KAT! Set his ass on fire! Kaileys thought creamed and she was surprised she had managed to keep herself from yelling it out.
 
Hilary was a bubbling pot of emotion, and none of this was helping it. When she walked back to the group and turned to face the Durmstrang group again, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. This whole thing has been just a game!?! What kind of a sick school is Durmstrang!!? She took a quick glance around her and was at least comforted slightly by the fact that no one seemed to be blaming her for what she had done.

Nic's comment left her shaking, almost in tears. But before she could do or say anything else about it Kat shot out from behind her and was chasing after Nic. She saw her punch him in the face and even from the slight distance she could hear her yelling at him. Although the emotions and endorphins were still bubbling around inside her, for the first time that year Hilary truly felt warm. She obviously had friends who cared about her, and that was better than any stupid Durm boy.

Although she had made a promise to Kat that she would help her seek revenge, Hilary felt that for now she had done what she could to help and for now Kat had to do this alone for the moment.
 
Nic felt his body swing around and his head fly backwards as the girl's fist connected with his jaw. Damn that girl can punch. What the hell. He turned back to face the Princess and spoke rather calmly, despite the turmoil in his stomach. He was not used to acting like this, but was rather enjoying it.

"Whatever it is that you wish, your highness. I can tell you are still not over me and really, it would be best if we made a clean break for your sake," he stated, the words dripping with sarcasm. "Plus I believe that I have a long overdue owl to send to my girlfriend back home."

With that last tidbit of information said, he turned sharply on his heals and made his way to the ship, his blonde curls disappearing out of sight.
 
Nina watched eagerly as Kat punched the Durmstrang student and then muttered, "Nice punch." Nina glanced over at Hilary who looked like she was about to break down in tears, who could blame her? Nina gave her a warm smile to let her know that she was there for her even though they didn't know each other that well. Nina looked around her slightly wishing she had gotten the chance to kick him then looked over at Dom and sneered, "What are we going to do about him?" Nina tilted her wrist slightly so her wand was pointed up only slightly at the boy, she really wanted to hurt someone that had hurt these innocent girls.
 
Rhyspa grinned when Kat ran after Nicolae and socked him square in the jaw. "Atta girl!" she exclaimed loud enough for the group to hear. "Son of a witch deserved it." Rhyspa was inspired, really by Kat's actions. She was mad enough at Dominik to hurt him the way he hurt her. Rhyspa walked over to the boy and smiled cheekily.

"You may have the most dazzling smile in Durmstrang," Rhyspa sneered. "But, not here. Here you have the best agonizing groan!" With that Rhyspa kneed Dom in his, ahem, sensitive parts. "*******."
 
Zoe watched, nearly shocked, that Nicolae had only used Hilary, as part of some 'game', and she was beginning to get some ideas as to why Kat was angry with him, though she didn't know completely. She watched as he began to walk away, back to the Durmstrang ship, then Katalina go in front of him, and punch him square in the jaw. Zoe was flabbergasted, upon seeing Kat's face right after punching him. This isn't leading anywhere good. Zoe thought to herself, realising that if these two boys were as horrible as they had first appeared to be, then she wasn't sure what kind of excuse they would say to a professor, if one walked by.

"Dang, Kat!" Was all Zoe managed to get out, "They must've done something real bad!" She exclaimed, still shocked. Then, she had to keep her balance, from bursting with laughter when Rhyspa went and kneed Dom in his private parts.
 
Shock was the only word that came to mind about what the Ice Princess had just done to Nic. Dom was just standing there for a moment still trying to take in that the little b1tch had really just punched his best friend. He looked at the small crowd that was now against him and before they could pull any sort of the same stunt with him he turned to leave, but before he could Rhyspa walked up to him. This was going to be interesting. Dominik smirked at the girl, but that smirk was quickly wiped from his face when she kneed him square in the crotch. It took him a good two or three minutes to fully catch his breath, but when he did he glared at Rhyspa and muttered, "You stupid little witch." Dom turned and walked, or well staggered, off to the ship, thinking that he couldn't wait to get back to his own school and away from all of these crazy chicks.
 
Hilary watched Kat and Nic closely unsure totally of how he would take it. She saw Nina's smile and returned it half heartedly, her thoughts were elsewhere. When Nic made his comments drip with sarcasm Hilary rolled her eyes. Then suddenly with one statement her eyes stuck on them again. He has a girlfriend?! WHAT?! Hilary thought and was sickened by it.

Hilary didn't really pay attention to what it was the other girls were doing with Dom. She knew he had hurt Rhyspa, and was happy for the amount of girl power that was being displayed, but Hilary was having issues controlling her feelings. She faintly connected that Dom was also staggering away, but her vision was slightly blurred thinking that Nic had played this game with a girlfriend back home.
 
Nina burst into laughter when a girl kneed the boy in the crotch and she said, "Good one Rhyspa, that Durm boy needed it." Nina was still laughing as she watched the boy go down to the ship then she calmed herself down with a few deep breaths and muttered under her breath, "I love this school." Nina was in shock that the Professors had done nothing or that Prefects would do this but she loved it. Nina smiled at the girls surprise clearly in it, she looked so small and innocent, but then again so did Nina and she had been in her fair share of fights.
 
Kat was still breathless. She was trying hard to catch her breath, but it was coming in ragged short spurts. She dropped to her knees and clutched her mid-section, trying to make herself calm down. Instead she was so overwhelmed with relief and numerous other emotions that she started to cry. Kat had seriously mixed feelings about what had just occured, but for some reason this was the only way to help get all that emotion out. Burying her face in her hands, Kat simply sat there and let it all out.
 
Nina looked over at Katalina who was now on the ground and she quickly walked over to her. Nina softly put her hand on the younger girls back and rubbed it soothingly and said, "It's alright Katalina." Nina glanced over at her closer friends for help, she didn't know the girl from atom actually she was certain the girl hated her for some unknown reason. Perhaps it was because she fought with Makato?
 
Rhyspa grinned as Dom staggered away and turned to go back to the little crowd that had gathered. 'Spa turned back around when she heard gasping breath. "Kat!" Rhyspa exclaimed. She rushed to Kat's aid and held her as she cried. "It's okay," she said soothingly. "It's over now."
