Tori was both glad and sad she’d lost her duel. Mostly she was glad it was over because she felt like it had taken a lot out of her, but she’d certainly learned a lot, definitely enough to take her into next year with something to think about at least and she hoped she could learn somethings in the time she was at Durmstrang too, that would be interesting. Still, she found Sybil at the first opportunity and waved at her. “Hi! That was a really fun duel! Congratulations on your win, you taught me a lot so when it comes to next year I think I will beat you!”

@Sybil St. James

Sybil felt like her skin was buzzing and her heart was still pounding her her chest. She had won but it all still felt so surreal after such a long back and forth. She wasn't sure what to do with herself. In the back of her mind she thought she should find Ruth but before she could do anything but step off the platform Tori was waving at her. She smiled and was glad the other girl didn't seem too upset over the loss. But as she spoke her congratulations ended in a point that seemed to stick in her finger like splinter. "Oh." she said finally. "Thank you." she added quickly. "It was fun and you did really well too." Sybil wasn't sure what to say about the last part but she put on a smile anyways. "I also hope we can have a rematch."

Tori was excited that they had duelled and she beamed at Sybil, rocking back on her heels a little as she spoke. “Great! Then you should train really haed because I definitely will!” She told her, with a grin, enjoying that they could be competitive together. Tori had always been a competitive person and being beaten by Sybil was only pushing that competitiveness further. “Next time we will be ever bigger challenges to each other, you were better than me this time, but you won’t be next time!” She really hoped she got the chance to challenge her next year, because she was really looking forward to it. She was so excited at the prospect of a rematch, they’d both given it their all, but it hadn’t been enough for Tori unfortunately. No matter, she wasn’t going to let it get her down. She could show herself and Sybil how much she had improved. “Maybe we can even practice together sometime! I bet we could both learn a lot from each other.”

Sybil smiled and the other girl's energy was infectious. She was usually more cautious around people she was less familiar with but she could feel herself warming up. She nodded enthusiastically at the mention of more challenges next year, even if the comment about beating her next year said with such confidence stuck in the back of her mind like a mouse in a trap. "Yeah, and we'll have way more spells to use too." she said excitedly. "I plan to practice all the time....or when I have free time." she said but remembered how busy her schedule already was with classes and clubs and quidditch, and would likely only get worse as she got older. But that wouldn't stop her. "I'd love to practice some time." she said genuinely. "I was going to go watch some of the older student's duel if you wanted to come with me?" she asked tentatively. "I've heard stories of seventh years practically blowing up the duelling platform!" Sybil said with an excited squeak.

Tori grinned at Sybil, glad they were on the same page about this. Tori was enthusiastic that they would have more spells to learn and that there would just be so much more room to move and think creatively. Tori wasn’t sure how creative she could be with her spells, but she wanted to find out. “Oh absolutely! More spells means we have more ways to win, and that can only mean more fun, right?” She said, almost like she was issuing a challenge. She would really like to go up against Sybil again, and she hoped she would get the opportunity. She couldn’t really imagine when anyone would have the time since there would be even more classes to take as the years went on, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t give it a go. When Sybil invited her to watch the rest of the duels she nodded. “That sounds amazing! I bet some of them have spellwork so fast you can barely see it,” she bounced on the balls of her feet, thinking about it making her want to see how it would work. “Let’s go! Maybe we’ll pick up a few tricks for next year.”
