Yellow for Green

Being a member of the WPC and had been delivering roses were Alexis routine that she was determined to see through. She could not somehow forgive herself that she was not able to sign up for it last year. With this in mind and a basket on hand, the Ravenclaw was on the hunt for a few students that she already knew by face or by name. The very obvious place where she could find a few was the Great Hall. She went to the Slytherin table. Approaching Diana Holland. "Hey, Diana. Got a rose for you.", she announced before picking out a yellow bud and handed it to the girl.

Diana had received one rose already and she was proudly displaying the pink rose as she ate her lunch. A girl approached, and Diana recognized her from the Ravenclaw team. The same team as Simon was on. Diana was pleased that the older girl knew her name, and nodded as she accepted the rose. "Thank you." She said, glad the girl was fast about it.

Alexis beamed at the Slytherin and her smile even brightened at the sight of the pink rose beside Diana. "Wow, a pink rose. Hope this yellow one brightens your day more.", she commented as she handed the card the came along with it.

Diana preened a bit as the girl noticed her pink rose. "Yes, it's from my boyfriend Simon." She said, unable to stop herself from bragging a bit. "Don't you know him? He's on the same team as you I believe." She told her as she took the rose from the older girl. She unfolded the note and looked at it, then smiled in surprise. Derek was nice too. He was sort of a friend, which she hadn't really expected. It was sweet of him to send a rose. "Thanks again." She told the girl as she put the note in her pocket. It would be nice to talk to Derek again soon.

Alexis nodded at Diana's question. "Yep, he's a good friend and teammate.", she replied. Simon was indeed a good friend, even though they had kind of drifted apart since they were in different clubs. They had a friendly competition in academics. "You're welcome. Happy Valentines Diana. Say hi to Simon for me, will ya? And we should hang out sometime.", she said as she waved at the girl.
