Y45 Quidditch Game: Beauxbatons vs Ilvermorny

Larissa frowned when the beauxbatons chaser stole the quaffle like he did. Rude.

Ocean was glad the other beaters hadn’t been too succesful yet either, at least that made her feel like it wasn’t just her.

The thing that was glimmering was just a reflection. Vincent shook his head and started to search another part of the pitch.

Light went to the hoops and tried to score again, but it was blocked.

Larissa was glad that the other team didn't score, and she flew after a bludger.

Ocean did not hit a bludger.

Vincent kept his eyes peeled.

Larissa could not find the bludger she thought she saw.

Nabi spotted the snitch for a moment but when she started chasing it, it flew off and she lots sight of it.

Ocean was getting a little annoyed she wasn’t hitting anything.

Vincent started to look toward the ground to see if it is there.

Larissa could not imagine why she could not find a bludger.

Zoey was annoyed that the quaffle had been stolen but she grabbed it now and headed towards the hoops.

Bellamy watched closely as the Ilvermorny chaser came his way.

Ocean looked around.

Nabi let out a deep sigh as she looked around and saw no sign of the snitch.

Vincent finally saw that glimmer of gold. He leaned forward after it, and the chase did not last long. A double barrel and a snatch later, he held up the golden ball. He won it, and he never took a single bludger hit!

Melrose had lurked in the perphery of the game for most of the match, scared of getting the quaffle and missing or worse, having it stolen by the French team. It was almost a relief to hear the murmur of the crowd and realize someone had caught the snitch, though the feeling quickly fled when he realized that Beauxbatons had grabbed it and not Nabi. Touching back down, Melrose tried to disappear into the short grass of the pitch. A whole game passed and he hadn't even touched the quaffle. At least Hadrian and Zoey had managed some goals he thought grimly, trying not look too put out despite the growing disappointment.

The referee was glad for the back and forth game. He flew to keep up and that kept him warm in the process. Eventually, he spotted the Beauxbatons seeker holding the snitch, and Reeve was able to call the game. "Beauxbatons wins!" he declared.
