Y43 S1 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice

"Merlin, guide my arm," Dion half-heartedly prayed as he lined up a shot when he found a bludger and an opening. Apparently, that worked, as the bludger went flying straight into @Micha Kovac as he'd hoped. He smirked in a mixture of pride and relief, looking over at his handiwork (and making sure the co-captain wasn't knocked off his broom).

Flick always felt the worst when Micha took a hit, though she knew she should really get in more practice aiming for seekers while she had the chance. "You okay?" She called to Micha, though not before pausing to give Gwydion a quick thumbs up.
 
Dion didn't follow it up with another hit, which was a shame but he supposed it was what it was. He rolled his shoulders, looking around for more opportunities.
 
Felicity flew for a moment, amusing herself by flying in a zigzag pattern. It made hitting bludgers a little trickier, but surely she was harder to hit too, right?
 
Micha winced as a bludger slammed into him but he kept his focus and continued looking for the snitch.
 
Noah grabbed the quaffle again.
 
Micha seemed to be okay, Felicity reminded herself he was tough afterall, so she could continue looking for bludgers without worry.
 
Noah tried to stay ahead of the other chasers as he circled back towards the hoops, grinning when he swerved at the last minute and managed to throw the quaffle through the right one.
 
Dion felt a little bad about it, but the opportunity arose and he had to try and get back at Felicity somehow. He aimed the bludger in her direction, mostly hoping she'd deflect it or at least it wouldn't hit her too hard. At least she was pretty tough. "Alright, now we're square." @Felicity Sweetwater

Felicity turned just in time to spot the bludger Gwydion had sent her way, reflexes kicking in without her even thinking about it as she swung at it head on. The impact still hurt, stinging up her arm and knocking her askew, but she was impressed to see the bludger pinball from her and into @Nabi Mun. "I think I liked us being uneven better," she said with an exaggerated pout, rubbing at her arm and shoulder though feeling pretty pleased with herself despite the sting.

"Sorry, darling," Dion drawled in a teasing manner, though he was glad to see her hit the bludger forward, even if it was at their tiny alternate seeker. He didn't find a bludger to hit in turn, and looked around.
 
"Aw shucks, I guess I forgive you," Felicity called back, trying to match Gwydion's drawl as best she could, looping around him for a moment before flying off.
 
Felicity stretched out her arms, feeling out of practice after not practicing as much over the holidays.
 
Dion narrowed his eyes, wishing he was having better luck with hitting bludgers than he was. It certainly looked bad.
 
Abigail grabbed the quaffle and flew a loop with it.
 
The bludger hit really hurt. "Ow!" Nabi yelled.
 
Spotting a bludger, Flick hurried to catch up to it, swinging hard and grinning as the bat connected. She'd forgotten to aim again however, and the bludger shot off at an angle and into @Zoey Hawkins

Noah flew after Abigail when she caught the quaffle, keeping an eye out for bludgers as he did.
 
Felicity always felt a little bad hitting the younger girls on the team, so she hovered for a moment to be sure Zoey was good before continuing on.
 
Abigail scored and flew back a bit to see who would get the quaffle next.
 
As much as Abigail was rude and tough as a captain and teammate, Felicity had to admire that she was good at playing, watching from nearby as she scored seemingly effortlessly.
 
Dion was still not having much luck. Part of him felt sour that the girls were playing so much better than him, as he looked at both Felicity and Abigail, but he was going to try not to let that show or they'd probably gang up on him. Which would be funny, but unpleasant.
 
Felicity took a swing at another passing bludger, missing and clutching tighter to her broom as she blew her hair out of her face in annoyance.
 
Dion swung his bat at a bludger, but it rolled over the top of it and went backwards. That just had to be taunting him, right?
 
Felicity saw Dion do some sort of cool reverse move with a bludger, tilting her head curiously before trying to emulate the manuever as she came up on the other bludger, watching impressed as it shot backwards and into @Noah Webb. That hadn't been where she was aiming but it was still pretty cool. "Wow, nice technique!" She called to Gwydion with a bright smile.
