Y39 Duelling Match #3

Angel stretched as he stepped up to the duelling platform, motioning to the two students to join him at opposite ends before surveying the crowd. Content everyone looked ready, he addressed the gathered students. "Welcome to your first round of duelling, let's have a nice clean duel today. The victor will be able to continue on to the rest of the tournament, and the loser will sadly be eliminated. When you're ready, please bow to your opponent and begin!" He said with a flourish, letting the students get started.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours from this to post your first reply, or face disqualification. Once both duelists have posted, you will have 24 hours from your opponents post to reply, or be disqualified. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. Duels will run until there is a winner or until 6 IRL days have passed, in which case the winner will be chosen by RNG. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Eugene had thought taking part in duelling would be fun, if only because he wanted to see what it was. He'd seen a couple of duels before but had obviously never actually done it. He bowed to Bern when he was supposed to and had his wand tightly gripped in his hand, after a moment of hesitation he said. "Stupefy," and a weak stunning spell shot from his wand

Bern doesn't exist that he doing the dueling match for his year, so he going to the dueler chamber to play for this event when he sees the Eugene he now his head and then when he first cast the spell I use the shield charm " Protego" and then cast "Expelliarmus"

Eugene moved out the way of the spell that raced towards him. It seemed quicker than getting a blocking charm up. He then shot back with a slug vomiting curse, he'd heard it was gross but it seemed like a spell for now

Bern shock that Eugene dodged my spell and then he heard that his oppenent cast his counter spell but he use again the shield charm and he use the summoning charm "Accio Eugene Wand" Bern wish that his spell direct to him and get his wand.

Eugene felt the wand tug in his hand at the other boy's spell. But he held tight, eventually remembering the counter spell, "Finite," and the spell stopped. Or perhaps the spell had been useless and just run it's course, but regardless, Eugene then cast, "Everte Statum,"

Bern cast shield charm again and then when he sees that Eugene hold his wand carefully he tried the Banishing Charm to Eugene's wand and wishes that he get my spell for this moment.

Eugene didn't even notice the spell which caused the wand to suddenly be out of his hand. He glanced round to it, but figured this meant he'd lost the duel

Angel hadn't been expecting much from second years, but the Gryffindor student was certainly using spells in some interesting ways. He was more surprised when one attempt actually worked, knocking Eugene's wand from his hand and effectively disarming him. "Oh, right! Eugene Nestor has been disarmed, which makes Bern Malakas the winner," he announced to the hall, joining the audience in applauding for Bern.
