This semester had Nell frazzled. With the exams looming closer every day, it felt like every spare moment had to be dedicated to studying in the hopes that she wouldn't come as close to flunking this year as she had in the previous. Even with her dramatically cut down class list, it felt like there never stopped being things to do, and it was difficult to focus on anything else. Which made her new duties at the Monthly all the more difficult. She had been scrambling to get all of her work for the paper done on top of her classwork, and it had barely come together in time.

The new issue of the Monthly was finally finished though, and Nell was ready to blow off some steam. After how hard they had worked all year, Nell thought her clubmates had plenty to celebrate. So, now that all of the proof copies and piles of photos had been cleared from the room, Nell had rearranged their clubroom for a little party. She had asked the elves in the kitchen very nicely to help with snacks, and hung a few balloons and ribbons for the festivities. Though it was hardly her most inspired event, Nell was pleased that the club would have a chance to relax and enjoy themselves without the pressure of a new issue looming over their heads. With the room set up for the party, there was nothing left to do but wait for her clubmates to arrive and enjoy the party.

It was well known that Sydney had some beef with the club offerings at Hogwarts, but at least she had some opportunity to write with HM, even if it typically wasn't the type of writing she overtly enjoyed. It was nice to have a voice and platform about the school and even Sydney wasn't about to completely write that off. She'd been pleasantly surprised at how Nell had handled the Editor position this year as well, uncertain the older girl would have been able to fill Sophie's shoes so well. Making her way into the Monthly's club room, Sydney gave Nell a nod hello, grabbing a drink and raising it to Nell in a little mock toast. "Congrats on surviving as editor," She said wrying, taking a sip. @Nell Wright

Poppy was glad that the semester was finally coming to an end. She still had exams but it was nice knowing that it was mostly over and they would get a nice long break before doing it all again. She was also just relived that the paper was finally out. It always got so hectic when it came down to the deadline. Poppy grabbed a drink and a snack and took a seat near Nell and nodded vigorously at Sydney's comment. "You did great!" she agreed with her hand covering her partially full mouth.

Estella couldn't help but be relieved that the Hogwarts Monthly article she had written was a success. She was glad it was over and was pleased with the result. She heard that there was going to be a meeting afterwards and so made her way to the club room, beaming at the decorations and the snacks available for them. It was definitely a good way to celebrate. She headed over to the drinks, getting herself a glass of pumpkin juice before heading over to Nell, where it seemed everyone was. "Yeah, we all did a great job! Especially you Nell." Estella said with a smile, adding on to what the Ravenclaw said. She thought it would be hard to be the leader of the club and so wanted to congratulate her too.

Nikko was glad the semester was almost over. Exams were exhausting and he was ready to go home and see his parents. It would be off season when he got there which would be nice and he would get to enjoy the quiet. But for now he was ready to celebrate finishing the paper and this time he even got to write about the quidditch games this semester. Nikko figured that if he couldn't be on the team, writing about it was the next best thing and he felt like he had really learned a lot about the sport at the same time. He grabbed a drink and nodded in agreement with the others as he sat down. Nell had done a good job but he didn't have a whole lot of experience to really judge it by. But she was nice and hand managed to get everything done so there was that.
