Y33 Dueling Match #8

[Professor Kalif Styx]

Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.


The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Diana didn't think duelling was the most fun at Hogwarts, but at least it was something to do. She liked the competitiveness of it. She liked getting the chance to win. So far, she hadn't actually won all that much in these duels. But that was going to change this year. She didn't really know Guinevere that well, they had dueled two years ago but they didn't really talk. The Ravenclaw was pretty quiet, as ar as Diana knew. Definitely not someone she cared about. So the bow she gave the girl was short, and after she was done she immediately started off the duel. "Stupefy!"

Gwen has a sense of deja vu as she lined up against Diana Holland for her duel, as she had a couple of years previously. Gwen hadn't had much luck in duel department but hoped she could turn it around. She wasn't quick enough to cast the first spell but she managed to block the stunning spell from Diana and fired back one of her own.

Diana blocked the Ravenclaw's spell, rolling her eyes at her lack of originality. She wondered if the girl was just going to copy her spells all day. That would be boring. She sent another one her way. "Expelliarmus!"
