Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.

The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Philip listened to the Professor as he gives instructions. He didn't want to make a mistake and be disqualified. Dueling was his choice to join, he thought it would make him more knowledgeable. Philip started a bow to respect his opponent and without a warning he made his first throw. "Tarantallegra!" The spell was merely dangerous but he wanted to ease the game play.

When his first spell didn't even touched Elias, his left hand balled tight. Philip just needed to be alert but that context was never going to happened as his opponent immediately took on him with the trip jinx he didn't see coming. The boy got hit and trip in his own feet. The landing on the platform wasn't pleasant and will probably leave a bruise for a week. But that didn't deter his confident to win. Philip got up on his feet and threw a mean spell, "Reducto!" He said firmly.
