Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Diana was feeling quite smug about winning her last duel, and was sure she would do well this time too. Though she did have a sinking feeling that the Gryffindor opposing her now would be a more difficult opponent. Diana bowed her head once the duel started, then decided to start off with a simple but effective spell. "Expelliarmus."

Willow headed to the duelling chamber. her last duel had been a touch one with her opponent just firing off strong spells and both of them doing their best to not get hit. on who whole they had done okay. sheh ad ended up with a cut on her arm but she had won when she had managed to hit her opponent. she entered the duelling chamber and saw that the duel was being overseen by professor Styx. "Hello Dianna, Hello professor Styx" she said as she climbed on the stage and waited until they were told to start. she bowed at the Slytherin head of house and then to the Slytherin. and raised her wand. like the last duel, her opponent got the first spell in but that wasn't too much of a problem. "Protago" she said once Daniells spell had bounced off the shield she followed it up with the hex that had won her the last duel. "Silencio she said hoping it would have the the same effect as it had done on analei.

Diana ignored Willow's greeting, not in the mood for being friendly. She blocked her spell with a shield charm and a roll of her eyes, then sent a Jelly Fingers curse at the redhead, hoping would hit and make the girl drop her wand. Diana wanted a win, she wanted to be the best of her year.

Willow watched as Diana blocked her spell. She seemed like she was going to be in for a duel like the last one. Not much chitchat. But at least Diana was being a little more creative with her spells. She thought as a jelly fingers jinx came her way. She managed to deflect it sending it into one of the stone walls of the chamber where it sparked on contact. Stupify she said hoping to stun her opponent into a win.

Diana glared at Willow as the girl managed to block her spell again, and she blocked the girl's spell in turn. "Hey Willow, your roots are showing!" She called to her, hoping it would distract her for a moment. Then she tried to send a spell her way, hoping it would hit. "Impedimentia!"

The red head watched as Diana blocked the spell. Diana was a strong opponent. What she was surprised with was dianas comment. It actually made her laugh. Not a remark that she had heard before. It actually reminded her that she did need to buy some more hair dye on the bright stone weekend. As her roots really were showing though. And not in the way that was almost fashionable. She almost missed diannas offensive move. But she managed to duck in time. at least roots show a strong foundation. Go play with some deer” she said. Before casting the antler jinx. Not the best comeback but it would have to do. If she remembered right Diana was a goddess of the moon who often was seen with deer. She was going to make a noon joke but that would probably require people to k ow that her middle name was Luna. Which while being a name she liked was not common knowledge.

DIana had hoped her comment would bring Willow off balance and allow her to get hit, but that didn't seem to be the case. Diana was annoyed, and she huffed out a breath. things weren't going as smoothly as she had hoped, though she was pleased that Willow had to duck to avoid her spell. "That makes no sense!" She called to the girl before blocking her spell. Then she cast one of her own. "Petrificus Totalus!"

willow wasn’t sure what the girl meant my it didn’t make sense. diana a goddess of the moon and hunt. or Are you so boring that you don’t even know who you are named after. Or would you rather be a princess who died in a car crash she said as Diana blocked her spell. Not even sure if Diana would know about the muggle princess who died fifty years previously. She had learned about her in history in primary school not that she really cared about history. She also wasn’t generally into goddesses but her middle name was Luna who was also a Roman moon goddess. She was distract from her comeback that she missed diana casting a spell. All she sawwas light coming towards her. potatoes she said a frantic flick of her wand. Not surprisingly she was not aided by any kipfler or royal blues. Or even a king Edward. Instead she got hit in the chest with the spell she felt her body become ridged and slowly lose ballence there was nothing she could do to savefrom falling on her face. She hoped that the spell would soon be reversed as that was just embarrassing.

Diana smirked when it became clear that the girl was talking too much and couldn't keep up with the spellcasting. She watched as Willow fell before she lowered her wand, glad to have won this duel. She scoffed at the girl's words, even though she wasn't entirely sure if Willow could hear her now. "I would rather be myself." She said, before turning away from the Gryffindor.
