Jamie was very eager to be captain of the beauxbatons quidditch team for the second year in a row, with someone different, he'd been a part of the team for so long, and enjoyed it so much! It was such a fun team to be a part of and the people he spent time were all pretty amazing. There had never been a dull moment to him in the beauxbatons team, but now it was his turn to lead them to some hopeful victory. He was very eager to get to it. He looked out over the people who were there, the team and those hopeful to try out. He was happy to see such numbers at this event. The teen smiled and waved excitedly to all of them. "Alright, I don't think anyone else will turn up, so let's just get started," the teen smiled at the crowd, "I'm Jamie, I'm one of your two captains for this year," the teen introduced himself, "This is Cheryl, she's the other captain. Today is simple, we just need people who are already a part on the team to get a good practice in, and for those looking to join the team to let us know what position they're trying out for and head into the air," Jamie said looking over everyone, "OH and don't forget to introduce yourself too! That's very important," the teen laughed lightly, he looked towards his co-captain as she added a few of her own words, and then smiled, "Right, let's get started,"

OOCOut of Character:

Anyone on the team line up last year (as posted above) can get their spot back by posting in this topic, but don't be discouraged if spots are full. Some people may not return, and we will definitely need plenty of alternates this year!! If you were on the team last year but no longer wish to be: please send a PM informing me so I can take you off the list, or simply don't post, and we will fill your spot.

If you try out keep a few things in mind:
- If you don't have your OOC name connected to your character, please add it to the post in an OOC note. We'd need to contact you on your main account for announcements and games, since the Beauxbatons side accounts (understandably) don't get checked as often.

- Please keep in mind that this team will only get to play one game, and it won't be for a while. Practices will be very important for the continued existence of the team, as well as building up the characters and activity of the team. Please be active in practices, even with the Quidditch system down. It will make playing on the team a lot more enjoyable, and it will help keep it going for the future years.

- Please make it clear which year your character is in, whether in your tryout post or in your member title. If your member title still reflects the previous year, we ask you to update it for clarity's sake. You may also want to register on the Other Students List as Other Students are not assigned year groups as HNZ students as, in order to keep up with where your character is at.

Cheryl had been a part of the Quidditch team now for some day and now she had been named as one of the captains. Something she didn't saw coming but liked. Together with Jamie. Cheryl was a seventh year and this would be the last year she would have around here. The blonde hoped to play professional once she was done with school. But first they would need a new team. Some spots were available and some were returning to the team. Cheryl smiled as she stood in front of the group that seemed to be trying out and looked at Jamie when he started to speak. When he mentioned her she put her hand in the air and smiled bright, so that they knew who she was. Whne Jamie was done she smiled and thought about saying something from her side. But Jamie had all said it perfectly. '' Hi I'm Cheryl. Good luck for trying out and welcome back to the current players! Just have fun and show us what you got.'' Cheryl added and than smiled at Jamie again. All of the chasers were already in the team. And she and Jamie were one of them. Cheryl took her broom in case she needed to help someone when they tried out and so that she could have a good overview in the air.

OOCOut of Character:
I’m not as often on my main account as I am on some of my others, I might switch my main account from Amy Rosemary to Sam Mackintosh soon, since I log in with Sam every day (unlike Amy) ^_^

Grace was excited for her fifth year at Beauxbatons. Not so much because it was OWLs, but more because she could get another chance at trying out for the Quidditch team, she had been an alternate beater in her third year but last year she couldn’t try out again for various reasons, and she had missed being up in the air if she had to be honest. She had three years left at the school, she had to make sure she made the best of her time left here. She grabbed her broom and headed to the pitch, a little nervous but much more confident than in her third year. She had practiced over the break, and this time, she was ready to secure a spot on the team. She just needed to prove her worth to the captains.

She listened to Jamie and Cheryl, carefully taking note of their words and noticing that Jamie was actually quite cute. The captains seemed pretty chill, so maybe Grace actually had a shot. When they were done, she cleared her throat and put a big smile on her face. "Grace Martinez, trying out for beater," she said confidently, before she mounted her broom and kicked off the ground, going in search of bludgers that she could hit. She noticed one coming her way, and, with as much strength as she could muster, she swung her beater’s bat as far back as she could, before swinging it forward and hitting the bludger, sending it right back where it came from. She grinned, only feeling more pumped and determined to hit more bludgers.

She kept flying around the pitch, having to dodge one she almost missed in her view, and the next one came from behind, so, after a few moments of attempting not to get hit by it, she turned her broom abruptly and with her bat, she gave the ball a good hit. She smirked, but in her triumph she didn’t see the next one as it hit her right in the shoulder. She gritted her teeth out of pain, but tried to ignore it, instead focusing on the tryouts. She couldn’t afford to lose another chance at being in the team, besides, beaters got hit all the time, right? Grace missed the next two, but hit the two bludgers after that. She was getting tired, but pushed forward. When the captains called time, she flew back down to the ground, and waved to the captains with her winning smile, before she left the pitch, proud of her efforts and hoping that Jamie and Cheryl could see that hard work too.

Nadine was still happy and delighted to be officially a part of the Beauxbatons Quidditch team. She wanted very much to stay an active part of the team, and work together with her fellow chasers Jamie and Cheryl. The two of them had become captains for the team, and Nadine thought they were a good choice for the role. She hoped they could get a good team together today, though obviously Nadine would help with that! She was eager to practice and get into the air, as she really wanted to show off how much she had practiced over the holidays. She especially thought she could be helpful for anyone who tried out for keeper, as she really wanted to practice her scoring. She took to the air, eager to help out in any way she could.

If Fletcher continued playing Quidditch, it would have been her fourth year in a row in doing so. The 6th year may have been busy as she headed towards the end of her time at the school, but she still didn't want to give up a place on the team. At least she'd stopped hitting her own teammates quite as often too. Congratulating the new captains, and greeting the others, the red head mounted her broom with bat in hand, ready to prove that she was still improving. She managed to track down the bludgers and give them a few whacks, only missing one of her attempts. She had grown beyond how she played as a third year. Reaching the ground, she confirmed her desired position, before taking a seat to watch the others.

Quentin didn't know if it was possible, but he felt like he could almost be more nervous this year than he had been previously. Last time getting onto the team had been scary, but this time what if they thought he wasn't good enough and he ended up being kicked off? Now he had something to lose. Trying not to show his nerves as he arrived on the pitch in his full keeper outfit, he said hello to his teammates and took to the skies, swallowing down his anxieties. Taking a space in front of the hoops, the second yearconcentrated heard on where the chasers were. It wasnt really fair since they had so much more experience, but he knew they wouldn't go easy on him either and instead, give him a realistic chance. Hogwarts wouldn't go easy on him arfterall. He grinned widely as he managed to save two of the shots that came towards the goals, but preferred to pretend the three he missed never happened. Maybe they'd chose someone else to replace him if he didn't keep up his game.

Theodore was, once again, trying out for the position of seeker. Just as he'd done over the past few years. By now, he'd hoped he'd have been able to prove himself a decent player. He felt like a key member of the core team. He'd made a lot of friends, and learned a lot through the years of practices, so it brought a little bit of dismay to know that, even with Elvira having graduated from the team, he'd still have to try-out with everyone else to take over the spot he'd been working so hard for. There were newer members, less experienced than he who were in core positions, so it was a bit upsetting.

Taking his position on the pitch, Theo greeted everyone with a broad grin, despite the disappointment he was feeling. He wasn't the type to say no to a chance to fly and have fun, that part he was thrilled by. It just didn't feel like he was valued. "Theodore LaCroix, trying out for seeker!" He said, mounting his broom and taking to the skies.

It was from his position in the air that he realised how few people were left on the team, that he'd grown to become comfortable and friendly with. There was no longer Elvira or Brendan, no Celine or Maya. A handful of faces were missing from the regular crowd. Theodore frowned, thinking about it, but the familiar glint of gold caught his eye. No matter how many players came and went, the snitch would always stay the same.

Taking off after it, the teen focused his time on his one, easy job. Two, if you counted avoiding bludgers, but for the most part he was trained on searching for the snitch. By the end of the practice he'd managed to catch hold of it on more than one occasion. He wasn't beating any prior practice records, but he'd done a decent job in his opinion. Touching back down to the ground, Theo conversed with those that he knew, and watched the remaining try-outs.
