Y31 Dueling Match #19

[Professor Kalif Styx]

Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.

Marisol nearly laughed once she saw she would be dueling Octavian. She figured it would be awkward but it was all just friendly competition regardless of the outcome. She stood across from him and bowed as well. "This should be fun," she said as she mirrored his grin. Marisol easily blocked his Disarming spell and for a moment she wondered if Octavian might be trying to go easy on her? Well Marisol didn't play nice, so she shot back a Stinging Hex to the boy she was casually seeing with a small smirk on her face.

She wasn't skilled enough yet to do nonverbal magic which bothered her. Once her shield dissipated, she cast, "Petrificus Totalus."
