Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

After organizing the tournament, Bethany was itching to get to dueling again. She was ready to defend her championship title, even if her opponent happened to be her fellow prefect and co-worker. Bee grinned brightly at Leo and then held her wand up, ready to take him down despite their friendly acquaintance. "Confringo!" she yelled. She was small but a force to be reckoned with.

Leo had been pleased, but also surprised, to have won his first duel. He was excited for his second one and this time he was facing Bethany. She was grinning so Leo did the same. "Protego," he cast, when she shot the first spell at him. Leo hardly had time to whip out his wand. "Stupefy!"

Bee loved the thrill of dueling and quickly cast her shield charm before his stunning spell could hit her. She decided to try and make this duel interesting by casting a Stinging Hex.

This duel was more fun, and interesting, than the last one for Leo. He had a somewhat optimistic opponent and this only made him more excited to see the outcome. He winced as the spell hit him, and he almost lost his grip on his wand. Before the stinging pain could escalate however the Gryffindor Prefect shot the next spell. "Muffliato!"

Bee grinned wickedly when the spell hit Leo but she knew it wouldn’t be enough to end the match. As the president of the SDA she couldn’t bare to lose this duel. She had her Shield charm ready for Leo’s next move but she tilted her head in confusion wondering how that spell could be useful in a duel. But she couldn’t waste time on that, she had to fire back soon. “Stupefy!”

Leo couldn't help but to grin at this duel, although it had basically just started his energy was increasing by the spell cast so when Bee cast the next spell, Leo ducked, wanting to make things a little interesting instead of simply blocking the spell with a shield charm. "Nice try," he called. The stinging had almost ceased, and Leo was ready for a challenge. "Confundo!"

Bee laughed lightly to herself as Leo ducked to avoid her spell, only regretting it slightly since she would've won if he hadn't dodged it. She grinned at his comment and then put up the shield around her to prevent his next spell from hitting her, and then sent the Tongue-Tying Curse at him to prevent him from shooting anymore spells at her.
