Y30 Dueling Match #13

[Kennedy Pratt]

Professor Pratt led the two students up onto the middle of the stage. There she carefully explained the rules for them to follow and the points system. Once they had nodded in understanding, she appointed them to opposite ends of the stage and then walked off a safe distance away. Once ready, she gave the signal for them to begin.

Make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Rome loved that the duelling tournament was happening in her final semester of the school, it was one last opportunity to prove herself. She also believed that she definitely had an advantage over her partner. She was definitely going to win. She bowed and did the usual fanfare, and then decided she'd start off light, but that she definitely would start, "Stupefy,"

Peyton rolled her eyes when she came face to face with the same person she beat two years ago. She was full of anger that she could tell of her. But anger isn't always for dueling. Peyton nod at he Professor once they were given the rules and start the duel. Of course, her opponent went soft on her. It was a warm up after all. With a swish of her wand arm, she blocked the spell, <COLOR color="#000">"Protego!" And let out another counter spell, "Incarcerous!" Peyton pointed her wand on her opponent's upper torso and a long rope came out of the tip of her wand.

Rome cast a quick protego, one of the newer and more powerful ones they had learned in DADA to stop the other girl's spell. She liked duelling, it helped her feel good about her magic, and it was what she intended to do after so being good at it did help. She was quick to retaliate. "Deprimo," the teen said, watching with satisfaction as the spell shot across.

Rome was fast enough to block Peyton's spell. She was only about to raise her arm to cast a shield, Peyton heard Rome's spell but she wasn't fast enough to protect herself. A stinging sensation cross her stomach and her hands felt a sticky liquid on the spot where she was hit. The Gryffindor didn't want to think that it was blood but that thought of it made her queezy and everything just went black around her. Peyton's body just fell on the platform.

Kennedy watched the duel carefully to make sure everyone was being safe. Once the Gryffindor girl was hit and passed out, Kennedy quickly walked onto the platform and declared Rome Savage the winner before tending to any wounds Peyton got and revived her.
