Although this year was his last year, Bryce never led his team to a good, astounding victory. No Quidditch cup or anything, but he felt that he had a good team for the most part. He just hope that Rosie will be there. He blushed heavily when he thought about her and the summer events. However, today was not the day to think about that. Today was Quidditch time! As soon as everyone gathered around the board, he pointed at it, and nodded to the previous players. "Hello everyone, I'm the captain, Bryce. I am the keeper of the Quidditch team. Everyone pick up a marker and sign up with your name and position. And a big welcome back to the previous team too! Chasers should practice passing and scoring with the provided Quaffles. Beaters should protect the team from bludgers. Keepers should practice guarding, however you will only be an alternate. Seekers should catch the few snitches that were flying around. Good luck and have fun!" Bryce made sure that everyone signed, and he stepped back to observe the practice from the ground. He just hoped that they would have a decent shot this year. He looked up with a smile, feeling a lot more optimistic about this year than the last.
OOCOut of Character:
If you were on the team last year, you can post your arrival and you will be guaranteed your spot, unless you let your account go inactive or didn't respond to my game PMs the majority of the time. Then you have to try out again. Everyone else, we can always use lots of players, so one post with your arrival and try out! Plus, some members might not even post, so the line up might change heavily! Previous team, if you want to help the others try out, go on ahead too! Alternates, if you want a spot that is not what you have, then you need to try out.

First years, you can PM me to approve before posting here. If I say no, you can defend your request. Below is the team, and the available positions.

Isaiah's first experience of playing quidditch on a team had not been particularly positive, but he was feeling pretty good about this. He spent a lot of the holiday when at home with his cousins, practicing throwing things and catching them. He'd enjoyed his holiday a lot, spending time with his family was really his favourite past time. They were a lot of fun, and he really loved doing things with his little brothers. Having to return to school had been hard. He hadn't expected it to be quite as hard as it had turned out to be, but it had been incredibly tricky. Now, he was stood on the pitch, ready to get some more practice and to see how well the team would do this time around. He really like Ravenclaw, and he liked their quidditch captain. He smiled happily at him, as he got the try-outs underway. he was glad he didn't have to try out again, and that he'd managed to be able to just get some practice in. He didn't want to be in the position of those trying out, likely incredibly nervous. he remembered being incredibly nervous. With the try-out start, Isaiah grabbed his broom, and shot up into the air, deciding that rather than just getting started practicing being a chaser, he'd just warm up, so he started doing laps.

Nicolas Bane nervously walked out onto the Quidditch Pitch. He was very nervous, he had practiced during the Summer, but he is still nervous. Nicolas had a Nimbus 2001, which was bought by his mother as a gift for his 10th birthday. Arriving on the pitch, he looked around and saw the number of people that turned out, it could be a good year for Ravenclaw. "Hey, I`m Nicolas Bane. I`m here to try-out for Beater" he said quietly, smiling at the Captain.

Nicolas mounted his broomstick and kicked off, soaring up into the air, and started to fly around the quidditch pitch, looking out for the bludgers. Just at that moment, a bludger came violently swooshing towards his head. He raised the wooden bat in defence. The bludger hit the bat. It hit firmly and directly, but Nicolas' strengthly wield had over-powered and knocked it, though only just, into a sloping dance back across the pitch. Well, it wasn't quite the perfect hit. Far from it. But it had done the trick, nonetheless.
Now Nicolas swooped and steered her way towards another bludger, purposely targeting it with a bracing swipe; the bludger was sent sailing back across the pitch, nicely timed to collide with another. The two balls spiralled off in opposite directions and Nicolas began to chase after them. Nicolas slowly lowered himself down to the ground and he landed. He wondered if he had done well or not, but he shrugged and he left the Quidditch pitch to see if he had made the team or not.

It was the day of the Ravenclaw try outs and by hell was Kurtis going to make sure that he was going to show up. He might only be a first year and not one of the most experienced people, but he loved Quidditch and felt like he had some form of skill for the sport and so that should be good enough. Years he had spent practicing and now he was finally ready for the try-outs. Of course he would have to work hard, nothing was exactly going to come easy, but the first year was sure he could manage as he stood alongside the other people coming to the try-outs. The only thing he had to do was make an impression and hope that he was offered a position, right then he would be willing to take anything which was handed to him. Picking up a marker he wrote down his name as he was asked and his position he wanted, which of course was a beater, before standing back so someone else could write down without him in the way. His fingers were gripping his broom a little tighter with one hand while the other swung his bat for a little practice as he forced back a lump of saliva in his throat. There was nothing to worry about, he would be fine.

Mounting the broom he kicked off into the sky, sitting back on the wooden shaft as he practiced steering with his knees so he could let his beaters arm hang off the broom so he could use it. Soon everything came flooding back to him and so he started the practice, zooming off after bludgers to whack them away from the team. The first few hits were a little weak and off course, almost managing to hit the player he was trying to protect as he got into the groove of things. Kurtis also managed to nearly lose his balance and fall, but somehow the young boy managed to stay airborne and as time went on he felt pretty confident that he was hitting accurately and powerfully all of the time. Finally the practice was dismissed and Kurtis flew back to the ground, hopping off his broom ready to hear if he had made the team or not.

Frederick walked down to the quidditch pitch with his new Nimbus 2001 thrown over his shoulder and his beater's bat swinging tensely at his side. The muggleborn moved with quiet determination as he weaved his way through the group and surveyed the housemates that had already begun to assemble. He recognized most of the current players from the common room and classes, but the new faces were well new. Just judging by sight, he couldn't really place what position they would want to play. In regards to his own build, he didn't gain much in terms of height but the twelve year old gained quite a bit in mass over the vacation. His dad took great pleasure in calling him stout all break. His mother preferred the term sturdy. His brother reassured him that in time he would fill out and that he wouldn't always feel like the giant stump he currently felt like. Freddy had talked his ear off about quidditch enough for him to get the general idea behind the magical sport, but Jon turned out to be a great coach despite his obvious lack of quidditch knowledge. The older Mensah was able to get a weekend off from work and spent a whole day helping him learn how to swing his beater's bat. He alternated throwing grapefruits and footballs at his younger brother and when the neighbors walked by confused, he simply smiled and told them that they were break in a vintage cricket bat. Freddy smiled to himself at the memory as he waited among the group. "Rules and technique can be taught. That is what coaches and captains are for." Jon had said. "but determination, heart can't be taught. And do you know what your mission is little brother? To protect this house." And that is exactly what the young Ravenclaw hoped to do as member of this team.

Frederick finally located the sign in sheet and his stomach dropped when he realized that there would be some competition for vacant beaters position. He should have known better. Everyone tries out with hopes of playing and going after the open slot was the reasonable thing to do. The second year grabbed the marker and added Frederick Mensah - Beater to the list. When he was finished, he looked up at the captain and gave him a small apologetic shrug. He was sure that he wouldn't be making Bryce's decision any easier and didn't envy the older boy in the slightest. When the trails officially began, Fred straddled his broom and kicked up off of the ground. It was his first time riding his new broom, so he thought it best to take a quick lap around the pitch to find the right balance and be ready to swing at any bludger that happen to come across his path. Unfortunately, the two new first years were doing a good job of chasing down the stray bludgers. After one quick lap, Frederick was feeling steady on his Nimbus 2001 and he dove down to flank the left side of a chaser. Within a few seconds he could hear the angry whistle of the an oncoming speeding bludger. "Protect this house. Protect this house." he repeated to himself as readied himself to swing. He could feel himself make contact with the heavy ball, but it was amount of force he could generate swing his bat to the left was weak and it didn't do much to stop quidditch ball. Being right-handed, the motion felt exaggerated and awkward. The boy grunted as he as turned sharply to race to the other side of the bludger and swung at it from the right, successfully sending it backwards and away from forward approach of the chasers. Finding that he swung best from the right he circled to the right side of the chasers' formation and did his best to defend that side. He was able to knock a few more before the end of practice. The young wizard realized that he was only playing defense this time and that if this was a real game there would be more variables to deal with, but he hoped that he had done enough to earn himself a spot on the team. As he walked back up to the castle, he felt this weird sort of energy buzzing through him. If would have known sooner that there was a sport out her that would give him this much of a high, he would have spent more time on a field than hiding behind books.

Rosie wasn't sure what her final year was supposed to be about. Was it about saying goodbye, making a name for herself to be remembered by, or was it supposed to be dedicated to finding out what was actually going on between her and Bryce? "I probably won't figure it out until minutes before Graduation or something too." Rosie sighed and took a handful of her hair backwards to tie into a messy bun. Her final year of Quidditch was about to go underway. Rosie didn't want to think of it as being her last, even if it was true. Rosie had a lot on her plate this year. Grades, Quidditch, Year Book, Heta Omega, and Muggle Sports club. It sort of thrilled the seventh year to know that she could keep herself busy with all of these things, but at the same time she worried it would keep her from saying goodbye properly. Sighing to herself, Rosie took her broomstick into her hand and headed towards the pitch, where she'd mostly be hanging around watching the newbies attempt and secure a position on the team. Hopefully they'd find someone good enough to replace Bryce within the next year.

"Hey everyone." Rosie greeted softly as she took a seat on one of the benches. Catching gazes with Bryce, Rosie softly waved to test his reaction. Things were still a tiny bit awkward, but that was still mostly because they still hadn't quite figured out what they officially were. Were they still friends or what? Listening to Bryce's explanation, Rosie hung back just in case someone needed her help.

Serenity made her way down to the Quidditch Pitch, excited for today. She loved try out day, true she wasn't actually trying out but that was one of things she loved about it, she was able to relax and watch the new people try out and help out where need be. She couldn't wait to get back into Quidditch this year, she knew that she was a good seeker, having got the snitch in record time before, sure she didn't always get it but she got it more times than she did not getting it so she was happy with that and was learning to believe in herself.

Gave arrived just in time for the Quidditch tryouts that were scheduled to take place that day. He was feeling good about their chances this year as most of the members were returning this year. He really wanted to win the Cup this year. Gabriel waved at Bryce as he took a seat on the grass to watch tryouts.

With no experience of flying coming into Hogwarts Zach had no chance of becoming a first year exception to try out on the Quidditch team, so he learned to fly and he waited. Now in his second year he was all too keen to try out. He felt nervous as he sat at the breakfast table surrounded by the happy chatter of his fellow Ravenclaws, some discussing the try outs, Zach kept to himself for once and just focused on keeping his breakfast down before he headed for the Quidditch pitch. As the Great hall began to empty Zach grabbed his broom and headed out of the castle doors and down across the grounds towards the looming Quidditch pitch. With broomstick saddled on his shoulder he entered the pitch and headed towards the Captain, he was a familiar face in the face in the Ravenclaw common room so he knew who to look for and the second year introduced himself, "Zach Jordan, trying out for beater," What position to try out for was a decision that made itself when he found out there was a space open at beater, he had always had decent arm strength so it seemed like a good position for him to play.

Zach kicked off the ground and rose rapidly into the air, clutching a club in one hand and eagerly scanning the skies for incoming bludgers. He watched as the chasers took turns at shooting practice, then he saw something in the corner of his eye, something black hurtling towards one of the hopeful chasers. Zach leaned forward on his broom and shot towards the player like a bullet, he pulled up in front of the chaser and welcomed the bludger with a firm swing of his club putting all his weight behind the swing sending the bludger out of the stadium. Zach pulled up back to a vantage point, to keep an eye out for the other bludger and for the return of the one he just hit. Zach went on to hit three more bludgers away from chasers, coming back down to the ground Zach's arm felt a little sore, he would have to improve on his arm strength if he wanted to continue.

Blaine Matthias didn't mind having to come out to the Quidditch pitch once more, considering that he needed to conserve his spot on the team. He knew that there might be several that would be new, but he could help train them if needed. He was a fair beater, and loved it. As soon as he arrived to the pitch, he waved at Bryce Chamberlin, and nodded toward the familiar faces that were around him. There wasn't many he was close to, but he might consider helping out the try outs if needed. For now, he allowed his broom to hover and he leaned against it for support.
