Bryce Chamberlin was honestly not surprised when he had heard that he was assigned Captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team. Bryce had been on the team for several years and often did a lot of work as a keeper. He was deaf too, which made things even harder for him but he did not let it affect him at all. He had a whiteboard with him on the field, supplied by the professor. He was writing on it in blue marker to tell everyone what they needed to do. Bryce had a hard time talking to people, so he figured that this would be the easiest way. After the posters saying when try outs would be, Bryce looked down at his watch before he looked up to see some Ravenclaws heading his way. Once there plenty, he pointed to the board that had the directions which were: "Hey guys, I'm your captain, Bryce Chamberlin. I am the keeper. So everyone pick up a marker and sign up with your name and position. Chasers should practice passing and scoring with the provided Quaffles. Beaters should protect the team from bludgers. Keepers should practice guarding, however you will only be an alternate. Seekers should catch the few snitches that were flying around. Good luck and have fun!" Bryce waved to them to get started and he looked up as he remembered faces with names. He could not wait for Quidditch this year. It would be incredible

So it is the same as before. One post! State your arrival and try out in one post! This will close as soon as it needs to, which is about second week of lessons. The faster and the more creative you post in here, the more likely you will be on the line up! If you have questions, PM me. Trust me, you want to try out.

First years, you can PM me to approve before posting here. If I say no, you can defend your request.

Rosie was glad to hear that Bryce was the new captain for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. He worked so hard for things like this, and it was nice to see it finally pay off for him. The cool part was that Bryce was deaf, and he already managed to acquire being a Captain. Rosie felt like she was looming off in his shadows almost. I'll need to tell him how proud I am of him though! I haven't had the chance to tell him yet." Rosie thought to herself as she went through the trunk she had brought some home and searched eagerly for her Quidditch gloves. They had cost her a fortune, but she knew she needed them so if she couldn't find them she was going to be in some real trouble. Rosie searched the trunk thoroughly for a moment and nearly cried out of happiness when she finally located the gloves. This would be her third year trying out for Quidditch, and quite possibly her third year on the team, if she didn't come prepared she would probably make herself look bad. Rosie finished getting ready before she headed out to the Quidditch Pitch. Already she could see that Bryce had found a way to communicate to his team, which was impressive. Although Rosie was getting pretty good at signing to Bryce, she preferred to do it the way he had specified for everyone else to do it. Rosie didn't want special treatment. Rosie Reilly: Chaser Was all she wrote on the board in neat curly letters. After she had done that she waited until she was given the okay to begin her try-out from Bryce before she grabbed her broomstick and headed out onto the Pitch. Rosie had done this a few times already, so she wasn't as nervous about this as she used to be during try-out season. Mounting her broomstick, Rosie kicked off and began.

Rosie had improved her speed on a broomstick greatly since the first time she had learned to fly. Her hair blew out behind her like a cape as she flew towards the Quaffle that was released up into the air. Rosie dashed towards it and caught it in mid-air. As quickly she could, Rosie tucked the Quaffle under her arm and headed towards the hoops where she was to try and score. Rosie dodged the other players who were also showing off their skills with ease, it was the bludgers she missed dodging at times. Luckily none of them seemed to be around her for the time being. Once Rosie was close enough she released the Quaffle as hard as she could and hoped that it wouldn't be block-crap the keeper blocked it. Rosie frowned but gave a nod towards the keeper. They had done an excellent job blocking her shot. Rosie would just have to try again. With a soft smile, Rosie managed to acquire the Quaffle once more and gave it another shot. This time it managed to fly through the hoop without the keeper blocking it. Perhaps the keeper was just feeling sorry for her though. Rosie wanted to try a few more times to get the point across. Rosie tried a different approach this time, where she passed back and forth with someone else who was trying out for chaser, just so she could show that she was decent with passing too. After one more pass, Rosie tossed the Quaffle at the hoops and watched as it flew threw. Rosie tried a couple more times with different techniques, having it blocked a few times too. After Rosie had felt that she had shown off her skills enough for Bryce to have a good look at what she could do, Rosie lowered herself to the ground and dismounted her broom. It was a good thing Sofii wasn't into Quidditch, then Bryce and Rosie would probably have nothing to talk about because Sofii would always be there.

Blaine Matthias put on his Ravenclaw Quidditch robes and slipped on his gear. To convince Vladimir Zhefarovich to join, he had bought him his own beat and bludger. The boy did not know it yet since it would have to be delivered to him later. Blaine got ready to go on down to the pitch. From what he had seen, the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team was some deaf kid that was a fourth year. He played keeper apparently, and looked like some part-veela twerp. Blaine was disgusted, but at least Vladimir’s captain was pure-blood. He had heard the same when it came down to the Gryffindor Captain, another pure-blood. So it seemed like this place had some hope in it after all. Blaine grabbed his sapphire streak and held it close to him, as one of his own prized possessions. Everything about him seemed blue and he liked it like that. Ravenclaw seemed to be one of the better houses, but he was not about to judge either. Blaine sighed and he walked down the towers and then toward the ground floor. The Quidditch pitch seemed like a long walk from here, and he was not looking forward to making his trips to and from classes from where he was at. Eventually, the Matthias boy finally arrived to the Quidditch pitch.

Once he arrived with the other Ravenclaws, he looked to the board that the Captain wrote out, and he wrote out his name, and that he was trying out for beater before he took to the skies with his bat in hand. It took him a bit to get a good handle of his new broom. The streak had a bit more power than he had expected. He looked around for bludgers before he leaned forward on his broom, zooming toward the bludger before he swung the bat, bringing a clash of thunder, and sending the bludger away. Though it was not until the next few moments when he saw another one, so Blaine sent it away as well. His arms were getting tired, but handling the broom was doing rather well. Not too much longer, he had lost count of how many bludgers he had sent away before the try outs came down to a close. Blaine slowly lowered himself down to the ground and he landed. He wondered if he had done well or not, but he shrugged and he left the Quidditch pitch to see if he had made the team or not.

Bituin was very excited when she heard Bryce had become the new Quidditch captain. The decision would of come down to the only other three people on the team including herself as they were all going to be fourth years. She thought their old Captain made a good decision in Bryce. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle the position herself, she loved being a part of the team. She didn't think herself a natural leader, nor someone who was good at exactly being good at working with others. Which was why Seeker position worked well for her. She was fast and small and good a dodging others on her broom and she didn't have to really worry about where everyone else was. She knew she could affect others on the team by getting herself hit so she was always sure to make sure she was cautious as to where the bludgers were. Plus having a boyfriend like Tybalt had helped keep her interested in the sport, she really wanted to beat Gryffindor this year!

After writing her name and Seeker on the board Bituin smiled at Bryce before letting loose one of the snitches. She gave it a few moments to fly away before mounting her broom and flying up. She went to the starting position well above everyone's level for the seeker. The snitch flew around her for a moment before flying off, it obviously took her idea when she decided to act this tryout out like a real game. Obviously she knew the Chasers weren't going to be flying all over the pitch and the Beaters weren't necessarily going to be aiming right for her but she didn't have a whole pitch like this over the summer to practice in. She wanted to get the feel for the range the snitch could fly once again. Taking off she circled around the pitch high above the rest of the people looking out for any chances the golden color of the snitch caught the sun. She didn't notice anything right away so she lowered herself down closer to where the chasers were trying out and that's when she first saw the snitch down at the other end of the pitch. Taking off she had to dodge a few of the other players, she hoped she hadn't messed them up, but they would have to get used to flying seekers just going every which way. It hovered around the South end of the pitch for awhile before taking off and making her reverse her direction. A smile was present on her face the entire time as she found it exciting chasing down the golden ball. Flying over a bludger that had been headed her way she lost sight for a second of the snitch and it went back on her and she had to turn around. But she managed to make her maneuver quickly and ended up catching the snitch not too long after. She continued like this about three more times before the tryouts ended. She thought it went well and she hoped everyone else like Rose had managed to perform well in Bryce's eyes.

Grace wanted to play Quidditch, mainly to prove herself that she was worth something. Grace was mischievous and with her mean personality it was not a good trait of hers. First Years were not allowed to bring a broom and Grace could not win her parents over. Flying would be fun and it did not really evolve talking and maybe she would make new friends. Grace walked gracefully to the Quidditch Pitch, she had flown before and had great confidence in her talents. The Quidditch captain was a pretty looking boy, but Grace could give a flying salamander about that. There was board were they had to write there names on, Grace took a blue marker and scribbled her name on the board with Chaser. Luckily Grace knew there would be Quidditch and she had packed her gear, she had acquired a broom from a second year. Grace mounted the broom and flew up in the sky. There was a gripping charm on the Quaffle making it easier to hold, she looked around and saw a bludger coming her way.

Trying to escape from the threatening bludger, she flew more to the right. Trying to escape from the bludger was not the easiest thing in flying. With the second move she made, she almost fell of the broom. ''Ugh..close.'' Grace was trying to be calm and steady. The bludger was not after her any more so Grace flew to the hoops to threw the Quaffle in. The Quaffle landed nicely trough one of the hoops. Grace was pretty fast on a broom, the only thing that needed some experience were making difficult manoeuvres. Grace knew one or two techniques on how to confuse the keeper and one of them had worked just now. The second Quaffle she had acquired was a downright miss, the keeper had blocked it with hands.

When Grace wanted to get another Quaffle there was another bludger chasing her. This bludger had more speed and Grace tried to avoid it. This bludger did not stop when she tried to fly away and it was still chasing her. A beater came and the bludger ended up at the other end of the pitch. ''Thank you.'' Grace nodded gracefully. The third Quaffle that she had acquired was another goal, it went right trough the lowest hoop. Grace flew back to the Pitch and stepped of the broom. Grace hoped that she had shown enough to make it in the team, but she did not know for sure. Grace thanked the captain and walked away from the pitch.

Just a few more players left! Come on Ravenclaws, come and try out so that we can pwn that new system!

Bridie had been in the Ravenclaw team before. It was a couple of years back, but, it being her last year, she knew she had to give it a go again.
The Seventh Year Prefect strolled down to the Quidditch Pitch, taking in the breeze blowing her red hair around her face. It never seemed to stay in a pony-tail for long, so Bridie had learned to just let it do it's thing. The wild hair had a mind of it's own. As Bridie arrived at the pitch, she realized she didn't recognize anyone. Well, she knew their faces, but they were all kids, way younger than her. The red-head immediately felt awkward, especially that her captain was younger than her too. Hell - there was even a first year there! Bridie sighed and walked towards the team. She was confused as to why there was writing on the board, and their captain wasn't talking to them, but shrugged. Each to their own, she supposed. Writing down Chaser and her name, Bridie winked at the captain before hopping on her broom and taking to the air. A smile grew on the Ravenclaw's face, enjoying the feeling of flying. She hadn't kept up a ton of a lot of practice of Quidditch, but she was still pretty good at it, and knew she'd get back into the swing of things pretty quickly.
Surprisingly, Bridie scored her first try. Pumping her fist in the air, Bridie zig-zagged around the pitch, tailing the other Chaser hopefuls, in case they needed to throw the Quaffle to her. The Prefect managed to dodge the bludgers that were sent her way, and she was pretty impressed with her dodging skills. The try-outs continued for awhile, and Bridie managed to score a few more goals, but their captain was a very good keeper, and was really good at blocking the tries. As she landed, Bridie felt confident that she had done a good job, and was really proud of herself.

Quidditch was not really something Emalia thought she would be interested in. However, now she was in her Fourth Year, and she figured it would be a great way to, A - understand how 'athletes' minds work, and B - kick her brother's butts. And what better way to kick their butts by being a beater?
The young Ravenclaw girl made her way down to the Quidditch pitch and was pleased to see that their Captain was the boy that intrigued her so much. She wondered if he had started talking yet. By the looks of the writing on the whiteboard, it seemed not. Emalia wondered when he would start talking to them, or if he even would talk to the team. It was a curious thing that he got made captain, but Emalia shrugged it off, and wrote Beater next to her name.
Shooting off to the sky, Emalia swung her bat around in her hand, hoping to make a good impression. She definitely wanted to be on the team, it would be shaming if her brothers made their teams, and she couldn't make hers. Her brown eyes spotted a bludger flying towards her one of the team members. With a clash of her bat, the bludger was sent spinning off in a different direction. Em definitely needed to work on her aiming skills, but her arm was pretty good.
The rest of the try-outs went pretty well, her aim improving as the time went on. Emalia felt confident that she would make the team, showing that she could get better, even in the short amount of time she was there. Landing softly on the ground, Emalia hung around waiting to see what the deaf captain would do to let them know. Would he speak? Or just write up the list?

Gabriel Black hurried through his breakfast that morning, anxious for the day ahead of him. Today the Ravenclaw captain was hosting Quidditch try outs which Gabe was really stoked for. Gabriel lived and breathed Quidditch. Growing up with a mother and father who were frequently absent, he had plenty of time for hobbies. Quidditch had always been there. A few years ago, his father had a pitch constructed on a portion of their land so that he could practice flying. Of course, there had been safety restrictions being that someone had to be home and know he was out there. Gabe had been known to break this rule though. Raziel and Jacqueline never had to know. His sister was a chaser for the Holyhead Harpies and his brother-in-law had been a seeker for the Chudley Cannons. Whenever Kiera and James had time, they would come over and practice with him. They taught him all that he knew about Quidditch, and they had even gotten Gabe into his fair share of matches to watch them play. Occasionally, the whole family would come over and they would have a match out of it. That's what they had done for Gabriel's last birthday party. It was hard to believe that it was the last time he had seen James. Gabe shook his head, not wanting to focus on that sad bit of news when today should prove to be most exciting.

Gabriel was not the first on the pitch. Many other Ravenclaws were already there, but he recognized a few other first years. His blue eyes quickly read the instructions on the board, briefly wondering why the captain gave no verbal instructions. Gabe was one of the last ones to write his name. He scanned the list seeing that every position had the required number of players. He pursed his lips. He really wanted to be on the team, but he wasn't sure which position he had the most luck with. In the end, Gabe picked up the marker and quickly wrote on the board. Gabriel Black--Beater or Chaser. He figured it couldn't hurt to give the captain options even if he was made an alternate. He had the most training at being Chaser, thanks to his sister, but he was also strong and often hit bludgers around when there was no one around to practice with him. Physical fitness was very important to his father, and they worked out together several days each week. Gabe knew he was still likely to end up as an alternate because of his age and inexperience, but he would try his best and give one hundred percent.

Gabriel flew up into the air, taking a few quick laps around the pitch to show that he could in fact handle his broom. Once he got the feel of being back on his broom in the air, Gabe went to where the chasers were practicing. He caught the quaffle that a girl passed to him. He tucked it securely under his arm before executing a barrel roll that Kiera had taught to him last year. Gabe held on the quaffle and sped towards the keeper. He took a shot, tossing the Quaffle as hard as he could through the far right hoop. He was rewarded for his efforts as it sailed through. He grinned as he retrieved the quaffle and passed it to another chaser. Gabe had two more unsuccessful attempts at scoring before making his fourth shot. He decided to end his bid for chaser on that positive note as he moved to get a beater's bat. The eleven year old boy smiled at the other first year boy trying out for beater. There was also an older girl making a run for beater, but Gabe wasn't quite sure what year she was. The brunette boy chased after a bludger and swung the bat at it. A loud crack! resounded as he successfully made contact. He had been aiming for one of the chasers and the bludger flew in that direct albeit it headed straight towards a chaser to the right of the one he had been aiming for. Gabe spent the remainder of tryouts hitting bludgers with all the force he could muster. His arm had grown a little sore from the force with which he had been hitting the bludgers. He had also managed to work up a nice little sweat. Gabriel landed softly and gracefully on the ground. Maybe he would make the team. He certainly hoped so.
