For a few months every year, Yerik's life absolutely revolved around Quidditch. Just a week ago he was already thinking of who would be on the team this year, how tryouts would turn out, how much his skills had deteriorated or improved, and so on and so forth. The pressure was on the raven, though he couldn't help feel blessed and happy to be the captain of this years team. He couldn't think of any co-captain at the moment or a player that would replace him when he graduates, perhaps during the try-outs he could find one. Making his way to the pitch in his quidditch robe, the seventh year grabbed his broom and was off to go. He hoped that this year he could have a full team and hopefully no unnecessary distractions to bother him. The pitch looked vast and green as usual, nothing interesting. When he reached his desired spot, Yerik waited for the rest to arrive as well. He could feel jitters around his body, truth be told he's quite nervous to held his first and last try-outs. To ease his shakiness, the boy got into his broom and hovered for a few minutes, trying to get the nervousness out of his chest. It was like yesterday when this boy had his first try-outs and got into team, and now here he is waking up from that dream. He never fathomed that this day would come or yet it was only in his deepest thoughts that he would be the captain of the team.

Even the even smattering of clouds above Yerik hung around closer to the ground as if craving some company of their own; any closer and the raven would swear you could breathe them in completely. Then again, he was always a patient person. The eagerness and excitement to have a full team was intoxicating his whole body, he didn't knew much of them, regardless he wanted to get to know some. In over a minute or two he was sure that someone would approach him, and he was right. Once new and familiar faces revealed themselves, Yerik Rhys straightened himself and prepared to watch them try to impress him. "Please state your name and the desired position you're trying out for. Then, Beaters grab a bat, bludgers are around the corner for you. Chasers try to shoot some quaffles inside the hoops, Keepers be keen and guard the hoops. Lastly, seekers, your priority is the golden snitch. Go and seek the those golden snitches flying around and catch it. If you have any questions, do approach me." he stated loud and clear for everyone to hear, and surely they did. Yerik smirked to himself and continued to hover with his broom, ready to watch them all try-out for the team.

This only requires one post. Post your arrival, including your character trying out for the team.
Interested First Years PM me, be ready to give a rational reason. Good luck to all of you!

It was the third year Bryce Chamberlin was going to try out for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. He was not an alternate either. He was a pretty good keeper, so he had thought anyway. He did wish that others would try out, because he did not want to have to get tired because the chasers could not get the quaffle over to the other side. Bryce put on his Quidditch uniform, grabbed his Sapphire Streak and he was soon on his way down to the pitch. He was pretty early, but he wanted to be able to get the position. The better he did, he would earn it fair and square. He knew that Sara Moon had left, and Yerik was now in charge. He was also in charge of Accio! which he was really proud of. But he did not know many people at all. He just wanted to be able to get his position on the Quidditch team like last year. He was sure that he could handle the pressure. He had played the game of Quidditch several times in a roll now. Bryce stopped at the ground floor to write a note where he would give to the captain so that he could avoid talking to them. He eventually arrived to the pitch, after he pocketed his note and saw that captain was already there. Now that was timely. At least he was doing this job rather well. Bryce was glad that he was getting older, and that he was a teenager now.

Looking to the captain and prefect, Bryce passed the note that said: "I'm Bryce Chamberlin, and I am trying out for Keeper." Once the other players were free to go to the skies, Bryce tossed his leg over the broom, and he took off. He hoped that Roo would try out again this year too. She was really cool to him, and good at playing the chaser position! He went over to one of the goals, and he looked ahead at the chasers that were trying out for the team, and they were going to be trying to score in order to impress the captains and become a part of the Quidditch team, like they always were. Bryce smiled and he got ready to start blocking some goals. Bryce saw one of the chasers tossing the quaffle toward the left hoop, but he blocked it. He tossed it back to the chasers. After all they were just going to try and score. Every now and then, a chaser managed to score, but he was even better than last year when it came to try outs. After some time, they were lowering down. That meant that the try outs were over. That was great! He did really well compared to last year. He lowered himself to the ground. He hopped off of his broom, and hung it over his shoulder. He left the Quidditch field with high hopes that he would make it on the team again. He smiled to himself as he walked.

Rosie wasn't really all that sure why she was trying out for Quidditch once again. She still wasn't all that good with it. Enough to help her team out and maybe score a few goals, but definitely not enough for her to really have any shot of playing Professional Quidditch someday. But it was a fun hobby, and Rosie enjoyed having some sort of physical activity besides jogging to keep her from getting fat with all the snacks she and Bryce consumed while they hung out. That boy could pack away some food, it was pretty scary at times. Where on earth did he keep it all? Rosie picked up her broom and headed down to the Quidditch Pitch, her palms sweaty from the nerves she was feeling. Rosie just hoped that she preformed well enough today to get noticed. After all, there were at least a hundred and one better players than she was, but she still wanted to give it a try because Quidditch was pretty fun. Rosie saw that Bryce was already on the Pitch so he must have finished his try out. "Hello! I'm Rosie Reilly and I'm going to be trying out for Chaser." Rosie wasn't very good, and this was about the only position she could actually play without looking absolutely hopeless at the game. Rosie smiled and waited for the Captain to signal her that he was ready for her to begin her tryout. Rosie knew his name was Yerik, but sadly that was about all she knew due to him being so much older than she was. Rosie bit her lip and nodded softly when she was given the okay so go ahead. Rosie was mentally praying that she would be able to at least get a couple of Quaffle's into the hoops.

Rosie kicked off the ground and hurriedly flew up to catch the Quaffle that had been thrown up. A soft smile graced her lips and she leaned forward and took off like a bullet. Rosie had no idea how fast she was going, but it was intense. The hoops were within sight, but Rosie didn't know if she would make it this time. It didn't stop her from tossing the Quaffle in that direction. It was blocked just as she had predicted, though. Rosie frowned, and caught the Quaffle that was tossed back to her. Oh well, she must as well try again. Rosie zipped off in the other direction to practice tossing them on that side too. On the way there she passed to one of her teammates and had them toss it back, proving that she was able to pass the Quaffle if needed. Rosie sped up, and did another shot, this time it had gone through! Rosie grinned. The keeper might have let her have it easy this time though. There was only time for one more shot for Rosie to attempt, so she decided to try a more risky approach. Flying toward the hoop, Rosie acted as if she was going to throw it in one of the hoops and waited for the Keeper to get ready, however the moment he started to move, she threw it with all her might right toward the one next to it, smiling as it flew back the keeper and through the metal circle. Rosie landed on the ground and unmounted her broom. Hopefully she had done well enough to make the team.

Bituin was nervous as she walked down the pitch that day. It was the tryouts for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and she was going to tryout. She was a very sporty person, and she loved the land. But she wanted to try something that wasn't her, plus it would always be an excuse not to have to hang around with her terrible older sister. She had enjoyed flying lessons during first year and she had been practicing so she felt confident in her skills. Of course she wasn't sure what position was the best for her but she figured Seeker because she was tiny and could fly fast when she wasn't too worried about falling. Looking around she noticed Bryce and Rosie, both third years like herself there. She had meet Bryce in the Common Room and found him to be quite a nice person. She hadn't spent much time talking with Rosie however.

"Hello. Bituin San Buenaventura, here to tryout for Seeker," the young teen said to the Prefect and Captain quietly. After the introductions everyone started to fly up and begin the tryouts, She too took off and began looking for the golden glint of the snitch. Suddenly she saw a few sparkles from the other side of the pitch. She wondered if the Captain had released a few for the people trying out to find, or if she was just going crazy. None the less the young Ravenclaw took off towards the gold and found herself soon at the Southern end of the pitch. The golden glint became larger but also seemed to sense her presence and became more determined not to be seen. Flying after the tiny ball the girl found herself having to dodge stray bludgers and players and she wondered if that was how it was in the game. Soon, or maybe not very soon at all she couldn't actually tell, the girl caught up to the Snitch and stretched out her hand and managed to grasp the ball. She held it up in victory for a second before deciding she looked a bit foolish doing that during tryouts. Landing near the Captain the girl carefully held out the tiny golden ball to give it back to him as tryouts were ending.
