Hey guys! To get your creative minds working a little harder, I thought I'd hold a weekly poetry contest. Each week there will be different guidelines, and each person can submit only one poem.

Week One

This week you have to use 10 consecutive letters in the alphabet. Each letter must start a new line of the poem. For example, you could use ABCDEFGHIJ, or HIJKLMNOPQ, or whatever, so you're poem must be exactly ten lines long.

Your poem can have any theme or idea that you'd like, and must have a title. You have exactly a week from when this thread was created.

Prizes

1st place: 50 Galleons
2nd place: (If we get more than 5 entries) 30 Galleons
3rd place: If we get more than 10 entires) 25 Galleons.

I was thinking of having them put to poll. I didn't fancy asking people to judge, because I'd rather people chose to enter, than judge.

Well, poetry is not my thing, but I was feeling like writing. I'll admit I'm not the most creative person, but, oh well.

No one knows her,
Only she knows the truth.
Poor little girl, all alone.
Quietly she sits,
Reading all the books she owns.
Silently she watches
The people who pass her by.
Underneath her quiet facade is a girl,
Vainly wishing for something more,
Waiting for that moment to come.

haha, this will be the lamest poem EVER. btw, the Z has the American pronounciation, despite the fact that I am Australian and therefore pronounce it in an English manner.

An Ode To HNZ
About two months ago,

Challenging myself to RP,
Decided to join HNZ.
Everyday life became a bore,
Found myself here more and more,
Grades, spam, and a potions knife:
HNZ became my life.
I find myself saying nightly,
"Just 10 minutes, and I'll be right-ly!"

I came up with that in 5 minutes. Aren't you all proud?

As I'm walking down a road,
Because I know where it will lead me.
Confusion suddenly sparked my mind, and lo!
Did you see that too?
Everything had started to fade,
Faces, objects, people.
Gravely, I pressed on for I know that I must go,
Heaven is the place where my heart longs to rest.
I turn around and look at you for a last time,
"Just remember, I've chosen my own path."

Please, don't shoot me for being overdramatic, my poetry is always too serious

think I have the time frame beat - less than five but wee bizarre as it's kind of personal. ok not kind of personal but very.
So if you don't get it... that's ok by me.

After many attempts of loving you
Brilliant inspiration finally dawned.
Cataclysmic hearts are not soul mates
Destiny played at wit and chance.
Eratic though our lives may be
Falling heavily through sky and sea.
Gouging out the heart that failed me
Hanging it high to always remind me
I will never love, it is beyond me
Justice prevail and keep him from me.

I am not a good writer but well I wrote it and for the fisrt time, I have written something myself.

Dropped in your studies,The results make you yelp,
Executing your hobbies, No! that won't help.
Find the real cause, And kill it from its root.
Grades will reach the sky, without a pause,
Horrible you might feel, At how you were first
Ignorant you might have been,But now
Just be keen, attentive and I can write it for you,

Lavished they will be to you, and ask,

HARRY's FLYING

Nimbus two thousand is where it all began
Of Harry Potter whose I am a big Fan
Passion he developed for flying, but the first lesson he attended not.
Qudditch was his favourite game,but not teh source of the fame he got.
Rising up in the air, he always played the game fare.
Snitch never escaped his hands,he was the best seeker Gryffindor had.
Times came when he lost, but of those accidents were most.
Unique he always played,and the glory he always shared.
Vision he had,to maked Gryffindor's team the best.
Wizarding world never had such a player,Harry Potter who never feared.

I hope Shopkeepers are allowed to partcipate, becaz it wasnt restricting us in the rules.Took me three days to make this.
