Wands at dawn.. or noon.. ish.

Andy grinned and actually had to think about that. The spectacular duel she had with Bruin had effectively had her lowering her wand to prove a point to him which had only gotten her laid out with the petrificus totalus incantation. One she would never forget in a million years. So basically on her back, she chuckled at that and could not, would not dare mention it to Ruki that the positions she ended up in were actually not so dissimilar after all. There had been other duels of course where she had just simply wiped the floor with her opponent but they weren't all that memorable to be honest.

Their noses were practically touching and she felt she had to hold her breath, even talking could bring her lips too close to his. She gave a short curt nod instead of saying anything and waited for him to roll and she moved along with him. Of course this only meant he was now on top of her. Once again she tried not to notice the intense close proximity between them which was impossible to do, as she reached her hand out to grasp the wand. It was still out of her reach though, so she slid her other hand from his shoulder and held his waist as if to ground herself to reach a little more. It was still futile and turning back to say so, her face moved against his, her lips grazing lightly over his. Hovering there dangerously as she blinked, holding her breath fast at the position they were now in.

With the silence between them, Ruki began to feel a stronger sense of awkwardness. The full reality of the situation was obvious to him now. Pushing against the ground, the fifth year rolled the two of them over; moving closer to Andromeda's wand. The issue with this however, was the fact that he was now positioned on top of his friend. Gulping slightly, the young wizard forced himself to remain calm. The last thing he wanted was to cause himself embarrassment. Watching Andromeda attempt to reach her wand, Ruki let out a slightly disappointed breath as she couldn't manage the task. Feeling the girl re-position herself slightly, the young wizard suddenly shook his head. How stupid could he have been. He still had his own wand with him. A simple 'Accio' and there would no need to roll around and stretch awkwardly.

All of his thoughts, and self-scalding soon vanished rather swiftly as the young wizard felt the softest of brushes against his lips. With his heart skipping a rather large beat, Ruki's eyes opened fully; not quite sure what had just happened. "Oh, I.. .", he stuttered; Andromeda's face so close to his own. "Accio.", Ruki quickly spoke; trying to avoid any further awkward moments. "We can use it to reach your wand.". The young wizard turned his head, which he was now sure had changed to a deep red colour, to the side; and called for his friends wand. They needed to get back on their feet as soon as possible.

The embarrassment of the situation warranted some humorous anecdote that she was too rattled to come up with. Instead she rolled her eyes wondering why she hadn't thought of using his wand to call for her own. The pressure of his body on top of hers was not uncomfortable at all in either it's strength or it's presence and she hated admitting this to herself. Turning her head to look at her wand, she did so slowly so their mouths would not brush again by even a fraction. This was beyond awkward and she wondered just how in the world she could mention this to the boy who had her heart. Crispin would most likely punch Ruki's lights out before she got into the details of the dual at all.

Her hand poised and ready as the wand moved with the incantation. She grasped it and instantly broke the spell on their bodies, with way too much eagerness she shoved him from her, rolling away and panting slightly as she sat up. Yet not knowing truly if she was panting from the rather compromising position they had been in or simply because he had effectively been lying on top her rib cage. A slight blush tinged her cheeks now and she stared fixedly at her wand.
"Thanks" she mumbled standing up and brushing herself down, "so ... my spell was the last one called so we could say I won this time around."

She finally dared to look at him noting that her gaze did not go to his eyes but only as far as his mouth. Exhaling again she strode over to where her other wand lay and picking it up shoved it unceremoniously into her pants pocket before turning back to him.
"Or would you say it's a draw and we have a rematch another day?"

Once the girl's wand had moved towards them, Andromeda caught a-hold of it; and immediately put an end to the Sticking Charm. With-ut any hesitation, the young witch had shoved him away; and rolled to the the side. Stumbling; half-attempting to stand; and sit, at the same time; Rukevra had no idea what to do. This moment was slightly more awkward than when they where both stuck to each other. Being his first ever dual, it was most definitely one he would never ever forgot. Not speaking a word, the young wizard felt rather nervous. What could he say. He had just been in an un-comfortable situation with someone he regarded a friend. For the first time in a while, the Vanderzuk descendent had no words. His father's teachings gave nothing of a clue as to what he should do.

The word "Thanks" fluttered across the air as Andromeda stood to her feet. The young wizard could only look on; choosing to remain sat on the ground. He would feel a lot more uncomfortable if he to stood. If wasn't until the red-haired girl mentioned the dual itself that Rukevra felt a little more relaxed. She appeared to be okay with everything, so he could be too; right. "Er.", he responded; watching her closely as she picked up her second wand. His eyes taking in as much of his friend as they could. Swiftly averting his gaze when Andromeda turned to face him again, the young wizard quickly scalded himself; looking away was a stupid thing to do. Hearing the words from the fellow Gryffindor, Rukevra returned his deep brown eyes to hers. As of now, he really didn't want to have another dual for as long as he lived. "A draw would seem more appropriate.", the young wizard finally found his tongue. Clearing his throat slightly, he continued. "Unless..", Rukevra was more than happy to let her win, "..If you don't want to have another dual?". The fifth year simply required a moment to clear his head. A good breakfast alone would give him time to forget about the incident.

Andy registered very quickly that Rukevra seemed as embarressed as she did and this set her at her ease a bit more. Twirling the wand she still held in her hand she placed that too with the other in her back pocket before turning to look at him again.

"No Ruki, a draw would be much too easy and we're Gryffindors remember" she grinned moving slightly so she faced in the direction of the castle. It was time to start heading back in and unleashing some of the pent up frustration that had built up inside her. Crispin would be finishing class shortly and if she left now she could meet him.

"We'll dual again someday and I promise I'll make sure my win is clear and precise, so you won't be in any doubt as to who's better" she chuckled lightly, "I'm going to head back inside... thanks again for the uhm... dual."

A less nervous laugh escaped the young wizard as his fellow house-mate mentioned the ease of a draw. He thought he would get of that lightly. Smiling now at her level of confidence, Rukevra felt he would have to undertake some extra training if he wished to keep his head intact next time. His friend was a skilled witch, and that was all a dual came down to. At Andromeda's indication of returning to the castle, the young wizard gave a sheepish smile; and nodded. "I shall be too.", he responded. "And yes; thank-you.". Was a thank-you the correct thing to give. Shaking any further thoughts from his head, Rukevra placed his wand away; and gave one final smile as he set off up the grounds. A slight feeling of guilt washed over him. He hoped today wouldn't get any worse.

Woooo.
