It was her fault. All her fault. Samantha knew she had to break things off with Ren for a while now, and she knew they had been together for as long as she could remember. She still did in fact love Ren, but in the way she could reciprocate it back to him anymore. She knew she had to, she didn't want to lead him on any longer. So she reluctantly did, she knew she had to do it. She knew. There were tears, maybe an argument and goodbyes and before Sam knew it, Ren was out the door. It had all been a blur to Samantha. All Samantha had remembered doing for a while after that was that she had been in the living room crying, wondering if it was a good or bad decision she had made in her life. She receives a call that changes her life forever. Ren is dead. And all Sam could do was blame herself. All she could remember or what she could pick up from the call was that he cause of death was that he had been walking and a car had hit him.

The what-ifs were suddenly consuming her mind. Samantha's heart was completely shattered with the news. She couldn't comprehend it. Sam didn't know what to do, and all she could do? Was blame herself for it. Samantha knew she had to go and tell Ren's family about the news, it was the least she could do. Samantha doesn't remember when or how she ended up at Lily's house, her legs pretty much carrying her to where she needed to go as her brain had been consumed by the blame. Samantha grabbed all her might and knocked on Lily's door.

Ren's dead, and it's all her fault.

Lily was still in shock. Of all the messages she could have gotten today... she was glad Oliver was with AJ's parents for the weekend. AJ was out for a game, and Lily had been moving. She couldn't stop moving. She'd been baking, and baking, and baking, and she was running out of room to bake much more. She'd just cleared the oven, knowing if she stopped she'd crash, she'd think, she'd feel, and she didn't know if she could get up again if she did that. She should call Elliot. She needed to call Elliot. No sooner had her fingers brushed her wand than a knock sounded from the front door.

Lily pushed off calling her best friend to go to answer, pulling the door open and staring blankly at Samantha for a heartbeat. "Oh, dear," She murmured, and automatically she just opened her arms for Ren's fiancee. "Come here."

The moment the door had been opened, and saw it had been Lily who had opened the door, Sam's face dropped even further with sadness and most of all, regret. Samantha didn't want it to end that way. It had been all her fault. She watched as Lily opened her arms, trying to comfort her, though Sam wasn't sure if she deserved to be comforted herself. The woman had been hesitant before she slowly made her way towards the older girl and slowly hugged her. "I'm sorry," Samantha whispers, trying to hold in her sobs. She already sobbed so much on her way over here, she didn't know how much sobbing she could let out. "It's all my fault"
