Pia's realization that she was Bisexual had brought out a more positive side of her that for the last year and the entirety of the previous semester was buried away from existence. She felt burden free and youthful, like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders and it had given her a renewed sense of confidence in being the person she wanted to be without a sense of remorse or an ounce of fear of the commotion her true self would cause. Transferring to Hogwarts New Zealand was one of the best decisions of her life so far, the students were welcoming and accepting and upon hearing about an LGBT pride event that happened the previous year Pia couldn't help but feel even more comfortable within the castle walls. Her ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend at Castelobruxo were not near as friendly in the years she had known them as the students she was mere acquaintances in New Zealand and it blew her mind how much a change in location could change her life for the better. At first she was predictably apprehensive but now she was sure transferring was for the greater good and she did not regret her decision to transfer one tiny bit.

It was with these thoughts in mind that Pia had chosen to stay sitting in the great hall after a light breakfast of fruit salad and after she had repainted her lips a dark red colour so she could write down a letter addressed to her whole family announcing her bisexuality and her happiness at being in such a positive school environment. This would be her official coming out to her family and the first time she had written or even put the words 'I am' and 'Bisexual' in the same sentence anywhere other than her mind. The thought had occurred to her that it would be better to come out to her family in person, but the fact of the matter was that her family were the most important people in her life and the first people that needed to know before she told her friends in school and she planned to do just that later in the day after she bid the letter adieu with an owl and safely knew it would arrive to her family that night. She smiled to herself as she continued to scribble the letter down on the piece of parchment, dipping her quill in her small bottle of ink whenever it ran out and not caring how long and rambly the letter was getting. She was far too excited and content to care about length anyway when she had finally come to a conclusion about her sexuality and was comfortable announcing it.
