PIA BELEN MORALES
full

BASIC INFO;
I told 'em all where to stick it, I left town with a dime to my name
I said, I'm done with all of my fake friends, self-righteous pawns in a losing game

PIA
Feminine form of Pius, meaning Late Latin name meaning "pious, dutiful". This was the name of twelve popes (from behindthename under 'Pia' and 'Pius'). Pia likes her name and has never had any issues with it. She is thankful her name is short and simple as it means others rarely pronounce or spell it incorrectly.

BELEN
Spanish form of Bethlehem, the name of the town in Judah where King David and Jesus were born. The town's name is from Hebrew Beit-lechem meaning "house of bread" (from behindthe name under 'Belén'). Pia also likes her middle name and does not have any issues with it, though she is always surprised when her family members use her full name and include her middle name as she is used to hearing this when she has done something wrong.

MORALES
Derived from Spanish moral meaning "mulberry tree", of Latin origin. (from surnames at behindthename under 'Morales'). Like her other names, Pia has no issues with her surname and intends on keeping her surname if she ever gets married.

BIRTHDAY
Pia was born in Santiago, Chile on May 10, 2025. She was the third child born in her family and was considered to be healthy despite a few minor complications during her mother's labor. Pia is currently the middle child, with two younger brothers in addition to her older brother and sister.

RESIDENCE
Since graduating Pia has lived in a two bedroom apartment in central wellington. It is a relatively nice apartment and one she is able to pay for given her job as a healer. She used to share the apartment with her friend Kylie although now lives there alone because she does not have enough time on her hands to look for a roommate.

PARENTS
Despite Pia's family facing many financial problems, she has a healthy relationship with her family and this certainly includes her parents. Pia and her mother are close and are very supportive of each other. Pia can comfortably confide in her mother and vice versa. Pia also had a healthy relationship with her father before he went missing and passed away. Pia's mother currently works as a receptionist in the central business district of Santiago, although she will be retiring soon, and Pia's father was the magical equivalent of a marine biologist.

SIBLINGS
Pia is the middle child of her family, with an older brother, an older sister and two younger brothers. Pia is close with all of her siblings but she would say she is the closest with her older brother Ignacio, despite not being able to see him much due to his hectic work schedule. Pia also has a sister in law, Ruby, who is married to Ignacio. Pia loves her siblings to the end of the earth and misses them greatly when they are all too busy to see each other. She enjoys every Christmas and new years, and each birthday in her family as it is a chance for everyone to spend time together.

EDUCATION
Pia spent her first four years of school at Castelobruxo, and then later transferred to Hogwarts New Zealand for her fifth year onward. She was sorted into Ravenclaw house and was very pleased with that because she enjoys spending time with intelligent individuals who can open her mind and who she is able to debate with. In her final year of school Pia was given the title of head girl as well which surprised her, although she was proud of herself for achieving such a position.

OCCUPATION
Pia is currently a healer for St Mungo's in New Zealand, specializing in maternal medicine and pediatrics. She has completed all her healer training as is content working as a healer. After graduating from Hogwarts New Zealand, she knew she wanted to be a healer, and though it is not always easy, she is happy that she is able to have a career that allows her to feel as if she is helping others and making a positive difference in the world.

WAND
Curly 9 1/2 Inch Swishy Ebony Wand with Augurey Tail Feather Core
  • Length: On the shorter side of things, this wand offers excellent control and aim - easily an extension of one's own arm.
  • Style: Great care was taken in crafting this wand's wood to spiral to its point, giving it a beautiful aesthetic quality.
  • Wood: Ebony wands choose a wizard or witch who could easily be seen as an outsider, but continues to dare to be themselves. The owner of an ebony wand is not easily moved from their purpose: whether that be good, evil, or something perhaps a little more grey.
  • Core: Since so many wizards are afraid to go near Augureys due to their association as 'omens of death,' Augurey tail feathers are rare as wand cores. They are good for use in divination work.
  • Flexibility: Swishy: A wand which can quickly cast spells but may need to cast more than one to accomplish the job.

BLOOD STATUS
Mixed blood. Pia does not think of her blood status as important and is not prejudice in any sense of the word. She does not believe blood statuses mean anything more than a description of how a person is magical and thinks that anyone who is prejudice is unjust and ridiculous.

APPEARANCE;
Got my band and a light that won't go out, Been burning since the day I was born
So I cried just a little then I'll dry my eyes, Cause I'm not a little girl no more

BUILD
Pia is of a petite build and is slightly shorter than average. She inherited this from her mother and this does differentiate her from the rest of her siblings, who inherited their height from their father. Pia was once bothered with the fact she is shorter than all of her siblings, and always felt as if she stood out awkwardly in family photos, but now she believes that her height isn't particularly important and is happy with how she is.

STYLE
Pia's fashion sense can be considered to have a punk edge, but overall is rather eclectic and unpredictable. This is because she grew up wearing handmedowns from her older sister Valentina and her older brother Ignacio, and had to be creative in piecing outfits together and attempting to look fashionable in spite of the fact the clothing was old and did not fit her properly. Pia does have more money now that she is a healer and is able afford new clothing for herself, but she does still has some of the clothing pieces from her siblings in her wardrobe, and she does go to vintage and second hand shops often. This is because she loves finding unique and older clothing pieces and being more creative with what she wears, and because some clothing is made to last and is still durable and wearable, and it would be wasteful to buy new clothing when she can find what she is looking for second hand.

EYE COLOUR
Pia's eyes are dark brown. She inherited this trait from her father.

HAIR
Naturally, Pia's hair is a medium to dark brown. Though Pia does dye her hair dark red and interchanges between a blonde and magenta coloured ombre. This is because Pia likes to hide behind her hair or draw some sort of attention to it when she is feeling scared, self-conscious or uncomfortable and this is easier for her to achieve with brightly coloured hair. She might return to her natural hair colour someday but for now she is content with keeping her hair red and considers this a staple of her appearance. Her hair is long and wavy, and reaches halfway down her back. She usually ties her hair up for work to keep it out of her face, and otherwise varies tying her hair up and wearing it out on an everyday basis.

TATTOOS
Pia has a tattoo of a pair of roses on her right forearm. The tattoo is magical and the roses are charmed to regularly drop and grow back petals, symbolizing that regardless of any losses and hardships a person may face, things do mend and heal and life is constantly regenerating. Pia found the symbol and meaning behind her tattoo very representative of what she has experienced in her life and what she believes, and she is happy with it. Whenever she catches a glimpse of her tattoo she is reminded that there is always something to look forward to, and even if things may be difficult she always has to make the best of the future.

GLASSES
Pia is longsighted so she wears glasses on a daily basis. She has a few different frames that she matches with outfits, and she does have contacts which she wears when she is dressing up. But on an everyday basis while she is at home or working she does wear her glasses.

MISCELLANEOUS;
Stood in line for so long just to picket, something I will never understand
Aren't you tired of always being mad at the world? won't you just admit you don't care?

ORIENTATIONS
Pia identifies as both Bisexual and Biromantic. She reached this conclusion in her early teen years, when she had a crush on her best friend, and her best friend's reaction to this was part of the reason Pia transferred to Hogwarts New Zealand. Pia came out to her family via letter while she was at Hogwarts, and since then she has never looked back. Her family is accepting of her and she is thankful for this, and she is not ashamed to show pride in herself.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS
Pia has been seeing Orwell Brocken, unofficially, for the last few years. They were close friends in school and have always gotten along, although as they grew into adulthood and continued to remain close friends, Pia realised she did indeed have feelings for Orwell. She wants to take their relationship more seriously going forward, and does consider herself to be in love with Orwell.

BOGGART
Pia's boggart would be herself drowning, or any of her family members or friends drowning. This fear developed after her family discovered her father had passed away at sea, and the thought of it makes her feel awful, and she is scared of the people she cares about experiencing the same fate. She is able to swim but she has not swam in many years, and from her fear of drowning or the people she loves drowning, she doesn't intend swim any time soon.

PATRONUS
A black swan. This is because Pia identifies very closely with swans and also because she has similarities to swan behaviors. Pia was fond of the black necked swans in Chile as a child and has many happy memories of feeding the swans and ducks with her father and this of course has translated into her patronus form being a swan, and Pia feeling comforted and protected by swans.

MIRROR OF ERISED
All Pia wants is to see her family happy and successful, and to be happy and successful herself. Right now Pia would see herself in her usual healer attire, married to Orwell and celebrating a holiday or birthday with her family. Her and Orwell would have a few children that were opening their gifts and everyone would be happy.

LANGUAGES
Pia speaks fluent Spanish and English, and at one point did speak Portuguese well while she was at Castelobruxo. Although since moving to New Zealand and remaining there for many years, she has forgotten a lot of her Portuguese and is out of practice with it. She does not intend to learn any further languages and is content in speaking both English and Spanish regularly.

PERSONALITY;
And lady, I don't want your pity, so don't feel sad for me, I got a love
I would die for and a song to sing, maybe we're both just living out our dream

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Pia is interested in many things outside of her work as a healer. She is of course interested in the work she does and has an interest in continually developing her knowledge of maternal medicine and pediatrics to help her patients and anyone who needs help. But outside of that Pia also has an interest in divination, and finds it interesting to read tea leaves and tarot cards, which is an interest stemming from her time at school. She also has an interest in astronomy and charms, although hasn't actively pursued studying either as a hobby since graduating. Pia is also interested in cooking and is over time learning how to cook properly for herself and her family, and for any guests she invites over. Through Orwell, and through the wild patch club at Hogwarts, Pia has an interest in gardening and keeps a few plants in her apartment and on the fire escape outside of her windows. Pia hopes to one day own a house and some land around it, or a house with a big backyard so she can have a vegetable patch and also cultivate potions ingredients. From her time as a bartender, Pia has also developed and interest and hobby in mixology. Pia loves finding new recipes for drinks, whether they have alcohol in them or not, and she always likes to experiment with drinks and try new things.

STRENGTHS
Pia's main strengths are that she wants to help others, and wants to make other people's lives happier and make the world a better place around her. She is conscious of how her actions have an impact on other people and how they impact the environment, and she does try to make choices that are responsible in this respect and wants to see everyone succeed and have the ability to also make the world a better place around them. Pia has also grown into the kind of person that does want to take care of her friends and family, and while at one point she was independent and kept herself at a distance from her family as she felt forgotten and out of place, she has now realized she has her place in being part of her family and takes care of them, and has taken on the role of actively organizing to spend time with her family and put together family gatherings. Pia is generous and smart with money as well, and is saving up to buy a house and so she can take care of her mother as her mother retires and gets older. Another one of Pia's strengths is that she is strong in her sense of self and who she is, and she is content with her life and where her life is going.

WEAKNESSES
Pia's weaknesses in the past have been that she has been rather selfish, and resentful to her family because she felt forgotten and cast away in the search for her father. Although since Pia has grown out of this to a degree she does wish she could have played more of a part in helping find her father when he went missing, and she does feel some resentment for this, despite understanding that the reason she couldn't play a bigger part was because she was young and needed to focus on school. Pia also has a weakness of caring so much about others she can take it upon herself to fix other people's problems or try to fix something that cannot be fixed, which exhausts her in the process. She also has a weakness of working too hard and focusing so much on that she forgets to focus on the present and enjoy the moment. Pia does think of the future very often and knows what she wants, but she can forget that the present is valuable as well. Pia often jumps from the start point to the end points and forgets the middle, and this is currently a big weakness of hers that is impacting her life. Pia can also be a bit abrupt and abrasive when dealing with people who have the opposite beliefs to her, and refuse to hear or consider values and beliefs that are not her own.

PERSONALITY TYPE
Protagonist: ENFJ-A
Protagonists (ENFJs) feel called to serve a greater purpose in life. Thoughtful and idealistic, these personality types strive to have a positive impact on other people and the world around them. They rarely shy away from an opportunity to do the right thing, even when doing so is far from easy. Protagonists are born leaders, which explains why these personalities can be found among many notable politicians, coaches, and teachers. Their passion and charisma allow them to inspire others not just in their careers but in every arena of their lives, including their relationships. Few things bring Protagonists a deeper sense of joy and fulfillment than guiding friends and loved ones to grow into their best selves.

Protagonists tend to be vocal about their values, including authenticity and altruism. When something strikes them as unjust or wrong, they speak up. But they rarely come across as brash or pushy, as their sensitivity and insight guide them to speak in ways that resonate with others. In their day-to-day lives, Protagonists reveal how seemingly ordinary situations can be handled with compassion, dedication, and care. For these personalities, even the smallest daily choices and actions – from how they spend their weekend to what they say to a coworker who is struggling – can become an opportunity to lead the way to a brighter future.(from 16personalities.com/enfj-personality)

HISTORY;
And some of us have to grow up sometimes and so, if I have to I'm gonna leave you behind
Some of us have to grow up sometimes and so, if I have to I'm gonna leave you behind

EARLY YEARS
Pia was born as the third child in her family, with her oldest brother Ignacio and older sister Valentina being significantly older than she was and already in school. Pia was the youngest in the family and enjoyed being doted on for the first five years of her life, especially as her older siblings were away at school for most of the year. Pia was able to get all the attention from her mother who stayed at home and she loved hearing her father's stories from his studying magical creatures of the sea, and she did often feel like an only child. Pia's younger brother Flavio was born when Pia was five, and though it was a change to have another child in the family, Pia welcomed her younger brother and enjoyed that she had a companion, even if Flavio was an infant.

Two years later Pia's youngest brother, Marcos was born and it was then hat Pia noticed her life had changed significantly more than it had when Flavio was born. Pia noticed she was no longer the center of attention as often and her younger brothers were taking up more of her mother's time. Pia was never forgotten, but she did feel a little like she was, and she began to feel out of place and caught in the middle and alone, unable to relate to her two oldest siblings who were well into their school years, or to her two younger brothers that were babies. It was around the time Pia was nine that tragedy struck in her family. Her father went missing at sea and Pia was scared, unable to fully process the tragedy or feel as if she could help as she was due to start school in a few months. Pia then began to feel more forgotten than ever as her family began to search for her father and she was too young to help.

SCHOOL YEARS
Pia began her schooling at Castelobruxo scared and unsure. Her older brother Ignacio had graduated, but her older sister Valentina was still at school and able to console her and show her around. Pia was thankful for Valentina's help when she first began school as she would have been entirely lost without her. It was in Pia's first week of being at school that she found a best friend in one of the girls she shared classes with. They had happened to sit next to each other, and they both had decided to wear pigtails that day which Pia thought was funny. The other girl asked if they could be best friends forever that day because they obviously had the same mind and Pia agreed, happy that she wouldn't be alone in classes with a best friend to keep her company, or alone outside of classes with Valentina around as well. Pia's first year ultimately went okay, despite her father still remaining missing and the stresses in her family.

Pia returned home after her first year to see her family was broken and exhausted. Marcos and Flavio were safe, and Valentina when she was able to had been getting them out of the house and taking care of them so Ignacio and her mother could work on finding her father. It was during that holiday break that Pia felt as she didn't have a place or role in what was happening; she was too young to help and make a difference in the search for her father and alternately too old to have the wool pulled in front of her eyes, and she felt entirely alone. She returned for her second year feeling mad at her situation and decided to focus on her studies and social life instead of her family, because that was what made her happy. Pia still felt forgotten and still focused on her studies and friends instead of her family in her third year as well. In her third year it was when Pia got her first boyfriend, and her best friend also got a boyfriend, and the four of them spent most of their free time together. It was in her third year leading into her fourth year that Pia began to rebel against her family a little, and between the years she spent some time staying at her best friend's house to get away from her family. Pia was happy, she ate so many sweets at the sleepovers with her best friend and they would give each other makeovers and braid each other's hair. Pia hadn't noticed immediately, but she was developing feelings for her best friend, and this became obvious to her as she returned to school for her fourth year.

Pia felt conflicted as she returned to school for her fourth year. She realized the boyfriend she had wasn't who she truly had feelings for, but she had no idea how to deal with her new and confusing feelings towards her best friend. At a loss of what else she was supposed to do, Pia kept everything bottled up, and tried to act as if everything was fine, and everything was as it had always been. But she couldn't do this for very long, and on an afternoon after class, when her and her best friend were walking in the gardens, Pia admitted her feelings and asked if she could kiss her best friend. Her best friend didn't react well, she was shocked and angry, and stormed away. Pia then ran into her boyfriend and broke up with him, and told him all that had happened. Her best friend ignored her for the remainder of the year, as did her ex boyfriend, and Pia felt alone and out of place at school and at home. She felt as if she couldn't talk to anyone, and that she didn't have any friends or family to support her.

It was at this time that Pia's family finally found her father's remains, and they discovered he had passed away at sea. Pia was devastated, as was the rest of her family. She felt as if her entire life had fallen apart. She wasn't sure how she was going to return to Castelobruxo for her fifth year, and she didn't want to. She organized to move schools with her family and applied for a transfer to Hogwarts New Zealand, and to her relief she was accepted. She started her fifth year at Hogwarts intending for the year to be a fresh start. Pia resolved to try and keep to herself and figure herself out, and mostly focus on her studies rather than her social life as she did not want to get hurt again. This turned out to be a temporary resolution however as Pia soon ran into a peer of hers from Castelobruxo, Kylie Ortiz, who had also transferred to Hogwarts New Zealand and was also sorted into Ravenclaw. Pia, despite wanting to leave her memories of Castelobruxo behind, was happy to see a familiar face. She and Kylie hadn't known each other well before the transfer, but since sharing the same house and dorm they became fast and close friends. Pia also made close friends with another Ravenclaw named Orwell Brocken. His brightly coloured hair and intense political views intrigued Pia and she found herself studying with him regularly in the wild patch. It wasn't Pia's initial intentions to make any friends in her fifth year, but when the year ended and she said goodbye to the two close friends she had made, she decided that she was happy with the people she had met, and felt as if she was finally finding her place in the world.

Pia around this time came out to her family via letter, and felt as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders when she returned for the holidays and her family was entirely accepting of her. Pia still for the most part kept to herself in school and tried to focus on her studies in her sixth year, although she did make sure to attend the school's social events and try to branch out and meet new people when she felt up to it. It was also in Pia's sixth year that her younger brother Flavio joined her at school for his first year and was also sorted into Ravenclaw. Flavio was nervous about starting school in a new country and speaking his second language all the time, and Pia wanted to help him adjust to everything and take care of him, and that was exactly what she did. Pia spent the year getting closer with her friends and focusing on her studies, even making a new friend named Calum Lloyd, all while making sure Flavio was adjusting to school. When the year was over Pia returned home pleased with her social life and the grades she had achieved.

In the break between her sixth and seventh year, Pia was met with an entirely unexpected letter from her school telling her she had made head girl. It was one of the last things on her mind, and a role she didn't think she would be considered for because she was a transfer student and despite having a few friends did keep to herself. She was however happy that the head professors had seen something in her that was deserving of the badge, and Pia returned to school for her seventh year with the intention to keep up with her classes and extra responsibilities as head girl. She was admittedly a bit overwhelmed and felt as if many eyes were always judging her as she felt as if she wasn't 'typical' head girl material, but as the year progressed Pia felt more confident in herself. She grew closer to all of her friends and even began dating Calum, all while keeping up with her main classes. Pia graduated with all the grades she needed to become a healer, and after giving her graduation speech at the graduation ceremony and spending some time with her family, Pia quickly packed up all of her belongings and moved into an apartment she had organized to rent with her best friend Kylie.

ADULTHOOD
Pia began her adulthood with a bang, when her and Kylie hosted a graduation party at their apartment for their graduating class. Pia drank and had an amazing time with her friends and with her boyfriend Calum, and that party was the exact celebration Pia needed before settling into her life as a healer in training. For the majority of her healer training which lasted a few years, Pia also worked a job as a bartender at the medley and was caught between each of her work schedules, focusing on making money to take care of herself and also sending some money to her mother in Chile so her mother could live more comfortably and still take care of Flavio and Marcos. Pia had little time to herself and was very exhausted, but still tried her best to spend time with her friends when she was able to, getting closer to Orwell and catching up with him on her medley shifts where she was closing up, and catching up with Kylie when they were both at home. Pia also tried her best to spend time with Calum, but slowly began to realize that between her own jobs, and Calum's life as a professional duelist, they were spending less time together as they became more involved in their careers. Pia eventually decided that both her and Calum's lives were heading down different paths, and it would be best to break up with him, before things became more serious and difficult. She didn't want either of them to compromise the careers they were working towards, and felt as if breaking up would be best for both of them in the long run. Calum did not take the news well, but Pia tried to stay calm.

It was after the break up that Pia noticed how thankful she was for her work schedule, and she used her time working as a distraction from her break up with Calum. Pia spent the next little while working as hard as she could in her healer training, soon completing her training and resigning from her job at the medley to become a full time healer. Pia has spent the last few years working full time as a healer, specializing in maternal medicine and pediatrics, and she is entirely happy with how her career is going. She intends to remain a healer for as long as she is able to, and is still working on saving money to take care of her family and also save up for a house. Pia also began spending even more time with Orwell Brocken, realising she did have romantic feelings for him and seeing him unofficially. Pia currently knows she is in love with Orwell and wants to take their relationship to a more serious level, and finally put the pieces of her life together and start a family now that she has reached her thirties.
