Closed Unfamiliar Soil

Natalia knew she had been lucky to find a small apartment she could afford on short notice, but she hated it. It was tiny, cramped, and didn't have a garden. Not ideal for an aspiring Herbologist. She had invested in planter boxes for her little balcony and had actually managed to get some things growing, but it wasn't ideal in the slightest. She was lucky her parents hadn't cut her off financially after their big argument, but she knew she couldn't entirely rely on that for the future. They could decide to do that any moment. Natalia had been glad to find a magical botanical garden in New Zealand, open for visitors. She couldn't grow anything there, but she could at least study plants and just be outside. The girl had taken a small notebook with her. She had found a bench near some magical plants, and just started sketching and writing down a few notes. If she studied enough, maybe she could find a herbologist who would take her on as an apprentice or something. Natalia truly had no idea how to get started in herbology. But she had to figure it out sooner or later. She didn't want to go crawling back to her parents.

Amelie had settled down living in Washington, having found a nice appointment near the flower shop where she'd gotten a job. Lucas was a good guy, and he was letting her help him out. It wasn't the best paying job ever, but she had fun with it all the same. She'd decided to spend her day off by going to the botanical gardens, wandering around a bit. In her wondering, she saw a girl sitting down and writing in a notebook. She approached, hands in her pockets, and offered a small smile. "Hello," She greeted conversationally. "What are you doing?" She asked, stopping a little bit away.
