Margo sat in the living room as she waited for Camron and Isadora to arrive. When she told Gram that she met some kids at the scouts meeting she didn't expect her to immediately call up their parents to set up a sleepover. She didn't understand why her grandma was in such a rush for her to make friends. There weren't a lot of kids her age around but she never really minded that. She was happy to spend time with her grandma's friends. They always had the best stories and wanted to listen to whatever she had to say. Margo nervously toyed with the fringe on the edge of one of the throw pillows on the couch and kept looking over her shoulder out the front window at ever sudden noise wondering if it was them. She looked around her small house and wondered what they would think about it. She had a feeling Isadora was used to something a little more grand considering she had a nanny and she was sure Cameron would find something to complain about. Margo jumped when there was a knock at the door and rushed to beat her grandma to it. She wasn't sure how they managed to arrive with out her noticing but she opened the door quickly and smiled as welcomingly as she could.

Isadora had to tell a few white lies about Margo's family to get her parents to let her go, but they also didn't really seem all that fussed to check. If Isadora knew anything about her parents, it was that they were happy for any excuse to have her out of the house. She had long ago stopped being sad about that. The girl was excited about tonight, eager to see Margo and Cameron, even if Cameron could be a huge grump. Isadora had grabbed a bag full of things, adding some snacks as well that she could give to her friends. Her nanny accompanied her to the door but waited at a distance as Isadora knocked on the door. She knew she would leave the moment Isadora was inside safely, she would also be glad to have an evening free of her charge. The door opened and Isadora beamed at Margo, quickly stepping inside. "Hi!" She said brightly. "Thanks for inviting me, I'm so excited!"

Cameron was certain this was a bad idea. He never got invited to sleepovers at school, so when Margo From Scouts (which was how he'd described her to his mum) had asked him and Isadora, Cameron was sure it'd been a joke until his mum was packing his bag for him. Now he was standing outside Margo's place with a bag with his pj's and a pillow jammed under one arm.

He got there in time to see a posh looking woman disappearing after what he guessed was Isadora heading inside, squinting at her and gripping the strap of his backpack tighter, tempted to pull it in front of him like a shield. "Hope you guys aren't just planning to stay up all night doing each other's hair or something," he said as he stepped inside, aiming for joking but coming out more hostile instead. "Smells like grandmas in here," he added, giving Margo a grin as he picked up on the same joke he knew would get on her nerves.

Margo was a bit relieved when Isadora arrived first. She returned the other girl's smile and felt herself getting excited as she breezed right past her into the house. "Hi, thanks for coming!" she said brightly. She wondered if the woman who dropped her off was her mother or her nanny she mentioned before. They didn't look all that similar but she had no idea and didn't think it was a polite thing to ask. But her excitement wavered just a bit when she noticed Cameron walking up to the door. She rolled her eyes as he started to complain right away, before she had even had the chance to close the door behind him. Margo glared at him when he said the house smelt like grandmas. "It does not." she whined sharply as Cameron smirked at her. She scowled back at him and was starting to regret ever telling her grandma she had met him. "You didn't have to come if you're going to be so rude." she said and put her hands on her hips.

Isadora couldn't stop grinning. She was so excited about tonight, mostly for the chance to feel like a normal kid for once. She was so tired of being stuck at home with her parents, parents who could barely stand to be around her. At least with Margo and mostly with Cameron, she felt like she was around people that actually liked her. Of course, Cameron immediately had to be grumpy, but it wouldn't ruin Isadora's mood. When he said he hoped they weren't planning to stay up doing each other's hair, Isadora gave him a bright grin. "Nah, we'll do yours." She said. Then she elbowed him when he said it smelled like grandma's. "Don't be rude." She hissed. What if Margo's grandma heard and decided they were too rude to be Margo's friends? Isadora wouldn't let this night be ruined. "If you have nothing nice to say just shush." She told him sternly.

Cameron scoffed when Isadora joked about doing his hair. "As if," he said, moving to elbow her back but then scowling as the girls got all defensive about the grandma thing. "It was just a joke, jeez," Cameron muttered, hugging his bag closer to his chest before stepping further inside to poke around. He hoped the night wouldn't get ruined cause they didn't have a sense of humour.

He followed the girls as they shuffled into the living room, poking around curiously for a moment before moving over to drop on the couch, not before picking up one of the cushions and sniffing it pointedly. "So... You guys aren't actually planning on like, braiding each others hair all night though right?" Cameron asked after a moment as they all set their stuff down. He supposed he wouldn't mind it if that was really want they wanted to do, Cameron had never been to a girl's sleepover before, but he hated the idea that he couldn't join in just because his hair was short.

Margo grinned as Isadora teased Cameron and she was so very glad the other girl was here. Just having her around made her feel a bit braver, and she stuck out her tongue at Cameron when he said he was joking. Even if he was joking she wished he'd find better things to joke about instead of making fun of her house. She led both of them farther into the house and into the living room where they would set up for the night. "No but we might do make overs." she suggested with a shrug and managed to keep her face serious enough to make him thing she was serious. "But until then well we could go play in the garden." she said, more unsure now and gestured to the back door. "My grandma is going to get some pizza and movies for a bit later." she explained and hoped the night didn't sound horribly boring. She had never hosted a sleepover before and was quickly coming up short on ideas. She had read about plenty in books but it was very different when it came to real life and so far this one was not going according to plan at all.

Isadora smiled when Cameron said it was just a joke. "I was just joking too." She told him lightly, glad they were now on the same page. Isadora smiled in delight as she looked around the living room. It looked cozy and warm, nothing like the rooms in her own house. She loved it immediately. Isadora shrugged when Cameron asked about the hair braiding. "I think we can all agree on stuff to do." She told him. "We didn't have a secret meeting beforehand to plan things, and we won't do things you can't join." She told him with a shrug. "Makeovers are a good idea, though." She said, smiling at Margo briefly. Isadora's eyes widened. "Movies? Really?" She asked, sitting up. "I've never seen one." She also hadn't had pizza much. This sleepover was sounding better and better. "I'd love to play in the garden." She then said, wanting to encourage Margo. "It all sounds amazing Margo, this is the best!" she said, bouncing up and down excitedly.
