Alianne Faith Cooper was getting ready for the biggest day in her twenty three years of life. A day that she had been almost certain would never come for her. Every guy before Izaak Jay had never managed to keep her attention longer than three months. They would bore her, lose her interest and affection. Just like that, Alianne would be gone, having disappeared and never to be heard from again. No, that wasn't the way it was with her fiancé. With Izaak, it had been different from the day that she met him at the large fountain, in the middle of Obsidian Harbour. It was her first week in New Zealand when they met. Things had been very different with Izaak then, he had a different fiancé with a child on the way. Yet, Aly had still fallen into the fountain with Izaak, quickly turning into the absolute best of friends. Alianne had stood by him through everything that had happened with both Ella and Alexis. She had spent hours on the phone with him, gotten him out of bed when he didn't want to move any farther, sat and let him cry on her shoulder when he needed it. Alianne had sat up all night with her best friend, gradually pulling him back together without even realizing exactly what it was she was doing. Things had progress, Alianne's heart had softened and she had fallen in love with her best friend, accidently kissing him on a surprise trip to the zoo. Humiliated, Aly had ran, as she had done so many times before; only Izaak chased her down, turning her world upside down by telling her he felt the same for her. The rest, as they say, was history from that point onward. He was her best friend, but now he was her lover too. The one person Aly knew would be there for her no matter what.

It wasn't really surprising that the young, vivacious blonde could hardly believe that this day, her wedding day, had come. The time since Aly had last stood on this beach seemed like only yesterday, even though it had been almost a year ago. The last time Alianne Faith had strolled down this pure white sand had been the day Izaak Jay Finch had knocked Alianne for a loop by getting down on one knee and asking the blonde to be his wife. Today, Alianne Cooper was returning to the same beach to hold Izaak to his promise. It was here, in Hawaii, that she would indeed become Alianne Finch. Aly stood in the same cottage that she and Izaak had stayed in the last time when he was competing in a major surfing competition. He had won, and celebrate they had that night. This Hawaiian shore was away from the public eye, a nice private, secluded portion of the beach. It was the perfect place for Izaak Jay and Aly Faith to tie the knot. Paparazzi followed Izaak around constantly, always interested in what the surfer star was doing. That was why Alianne and Izaak had apparated to this place, booking the cottage in Aly's brother's name. Alianne and Izaak did not want wedding crashers for their wedding. They had decided to have a small ceremony with only their closest friends and family.

Alianne Faith had chosen an unique wedding dress to be married in. The dress reflected the bride's personality for it would certainly stand out. Alianne walked out of the spacious bathroom, having just put on the pristine, white dress. Alianne's amethyst eyes really popped in violet hues against the white of the dress. Her violet bouquet of flowers was made to accent her eyes and it would most certainly do just that. No one other than herself had seen the dress. Aly wanted to wow her family and friends. Aly's mother, Emma's, jaw dropped as she looked at the twenty three year old. Aly could tell her mother was not thrilled with the blonde's choice of wedding dresses, but wasn't surprised. Emma knew what a different and unique daughter she had. The woman was just pleased Aly had found someone as wonderful as Izaak who would cherish Aly's differences. Emma smiled at her daughter, "You look wonderful darling." she said in her thick Tennessee accent. "Izaak isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you." Emma said with a sly grin. "Thank you mother." she said, before turning to face the cottage door as her father slipped inside the room. George Cooper looked at his daughter with a grin on his kind face. "You look beautiful kiddo. It seems everyone is set up outside. Are you ready for this?" George asked his only daughter. Alianne smiled at both of her parents, giving them each a hug and a kiss. "Yes. I'm ready. I don't think I have ever been more ready for anything in my life." Aly said confidently, looking at both her parents. "Mom, you should probably get out there. See you soon." she said, hugging her mother one last time as Emma slipped out the door.

In his peripheral vision, Izaak sensed the commotion of the proceedings around him; the last minute struggle to work everything into place. Fixing ties, smoothing out dresses, who was going to stand where and what order they’d advance up the aisle in. Although it was purely for the benefit of he and Alianne, Izaak had zoned out a long time ago and had fixated his azure orbs upon the waves that crested a little way out from the shore. What he wouldn’t give to be out there now on his board, carving up another competition because even that was less nerve-wracking then what lay just ahead of him. The marriage he would be sharing with the angelic woman was not the half of the deal that frightened Izaak, in fact it was quite the opposite. He was very much excited to be entering into this new life with her; the commitment issues that he had harboured in his teenage years nowhere in sight now. But it was the briefer part, the embellished part, the materialistic part of the deal that had wound him up into a nervous wreck. How he would have coped if the couple had opted for a more traditional, larger wedding, Izaak did not even know. It was his family and closest friends that surrounded him now though; he shouldn’t have been as nervous as he was. But the surfer could not seem to rid himself of the fear that he might mess up his vows or drop the ring into the sand when he attempted to slide it onto his bride’s finger. How this could possibly have him more anxious than the proposal, Izaak had not a clue.

In order to alleviate a portion of his anxiety, or rather to influence it further, Izaak lifted his fingers to his mouth and bit down feverishly on his fingernails that he had already chewed down to the quick. In a guilty moment he wished for the ceremony to be over already so that he and Aly could truly begin their new life as man and wife. But Izaak quickly retracted that thought; the wedding was a significant part of the tradition and he really did want to show everyone here today, on this Hawaiian beach, just how much he loved the bubbly blonde he was so blessed to call his own. He just wished he had better composure in these situations.

”Yo, Iz.” Izaak whipped his head around dazedly to the sound of someone addressing him, he should have realised instantly by the words and the tone of voice who it was, but Izaak was too caught up in his own anxious world to register that it was Tristan speaking to him until he was faced with his little brother. “Yeah?” He prompted, distractedly. “You might want to stop before you chew up your ring finger. You kinda need that one today.” Izaak nodded slowly, his mind still so caught up in his anxieties that the joking tone failed to register in his mind but he dropped his hand nonetheless and stuffed it into the pockets of his suit. “You need to just chill out, man. This is Aly you’re marrying, Aly. You’re like the luckiest bastard in the world right now.” Those were the words that hit home and made him feel a little better despite still feeling his stomach turn with nerves. He really was the world’s luckiest bastard, that was something he shouldn’t take for granted.

“Thanks, Tristan.” He smiled and clapped his brother gratefully on the shoulder before letting his eyes wander out towards all of those that had come to witness he and Aly tie the knot. He even managed a chuckle as he saw baby Alexis in his sister’s arms chewing down contentedly on one of the rose petals from her basket that Jay had handed to her as they awaited the arrival of the bride. The wedding may not have been extravagant, but it was most certainly perfect. Though as Izaak’s azure blue eyes caught sight of his fiancée’s mother departing from the quaint cottage, it was panic mode all over again. That meant Aly wouldn’t be all that far behind, right? The groom took a deep breath of composure and glanced feverishly over at Fletcher, wondering how on earth he had managed to power through these nerves when he’d married Leah.

Despite everything that Fletcher thought about Izaak, his late fiancee and his current bride he stood in front of a mirror to fix his tie before buttoning up his single breasted suit jacket over the tie. He shrugged his strong shoulders before turning his gaze to his wife, smiling as he caught her gaze through a mirror. He ruffled his brown hair he thanked the lord that he was a man and didn't have to take forever to get ready, it would be time that lately he didn't seem to have but Leah was simply beautiful. He turned away from her briefly and leaned over to the center of their bed where baby Alexis was laying with her legs in the air touching her toes and gurgling happily. He kissed her forehead before picking her up and walking over to Leah, "Look Lexi, it's Mommy. Doesn't she look gorgeous?" Fletcher smiled as he leaned down and kissed the corner of her lips before he said, "I'm going to check on Jay." He hoped that the boy hadn't spilled juice or something on his suit because Fletcher's wand was somewhere and he didn't like using magic around Alexis just yet. He didn't want her first word to be some spell and have her turn out to possibly be a Squib, it would be rather disheartening for her if the story was ever shared and as he thought back to his own mother and how often she had brought it up like it was common conversation as if it was as normal a topic as the weather. Fletcher didn't plan to be like his mother but he knew it came up once or twice. As he walked through the hallway he wondered briefly if Leah knew what Gabriel's was or if she knew anything at all. He knew that when he and Leah had met she had been tending to her wounds of a mother's broken heart and with Leah's long lost brother coming onto the scene Fletcher wondered if Alexis and Jay would know what happened to him, if they would be in contact with him before they were all grown up. He had met Tristan and his friend, Ava, once before and even if he had already gotten a sense that there was something more between the pair he had not gotten a sense as to whether he was more hurt at the knowledge of being abandoned or happy that he had finally found the family that did the abandoning in the first place.

Fletcher made a note to bring it up at a later time as he knocked on Jay's door before the blond haired boy opened it messing with his suit. "Having a little trouble?" he asked as he walked to the room right beside his and put Alexis in her crib before returning to Jay. "We're going to be on our best behavior, right?" Fletcher asked as he bent down and loosened the tie from around Jay's neck so he could take it off and show him one of the easiest ways to do it for himself because it was one of those things that every person needed to know - even wizards with their normally questionable sense of style and how he remembered hearing his uncle mutter something about freaks wearing clothes from the eighties when Fletcher was a boy which really wasn't that long ago. He'd never known what he and Avery both were so he couldn't tell him why there was such confusion with fashion for some people and why their clothes seemed to be a fixed point in time.

Once everyone was ready Fletcher held Jay's shoulder tightly, letting Leah apparate with Alexis alone so there wouldn't be much of a stretch because side-along apparation was difficult enough already and he did not want anyone getting splinched. The young family walked forward to the beach with Fletcher and Leah holding hands and watching Jay rush forward to Izaak who looked about as nervous as a bird without wings. He knew that look, he knew it well. It had been one he wore when he was waiting for the wedding to begin and one that worsened when Leah told him they were having a baby. Each time it had been fear that he would damage something beyond repair and so far one of them seemed to be fine, the other one... Well it was too early to tell how baby Alexis would turn out but she had a smile on her face most times. The man smiled knowingly and nodded his head before taking Alexis from Leah's arms as she took her seat and so she could be settled nicely and he did the same beside her.

SOOO sorry for the GM of Leah and Jay. I wasn't sure what else to do for my post.

Alianne Faith Cooper watched her mother leave the cottage. The blonde headed woman knew that it was nearly time. A soft smile lit her face as she thought about Izaak and how nervous he had to be, standing out in front of all of their family and friends, waiting on Aly to walk down the aisle. She easily remembered how anxious he was when he proposed. Izaak had been so nervous to ask for her hand in marriage though he never should have worried. Alianne was made for Izaak just as certain as she knew he was meant for Aly. Not to say that Aly had no nerves, because she most certainly did. Her worries were alievated every time the woman imagined the perfect man that was waiting for her on the other side of the door. Alianne had absolutely no fear that she was doing the right thing by marrying Izaak. Alianne Faith took one last look in the mirror as her amythest eyes looked for any flaw in her blonde locks, white dress, or perfect make up. Though she found no flaw, Aly reapplied her lip gloss, making sure that it was not one of the sticky lip glosses that did not do well for kissing. Alianne planned on kissing the lips off of Izaak Jay Finch as soon as she was declared his wife.

Alianne heard a throat being cleared behind her. She spun around to see her father, reminding her that he was in fact, still in the room. Aly grinned at her dad. Her violet eyes were dazzling, sparkling with the excitement that a new adventure always brought. Alianne loved adventure and she was about to embark on the largest adventure of her entire life. "It's time." her father told her, his kind smile on his face, laugh lines etched on his face. "Everything is perfect, sugarplum." George said, kissing his little girl's forehead. George held out his arm for his only daughter. "Are you ready?" he asked her, hearing the wedding music beginning. Aly nodded her head, accepting her father's arm. "Never been more ready." Aly answered. With a bright smile and a quick hug, the door opened to reveal the wedding scene. White charis sat on the beach, filled with only their closest friends and family. A picture perfect sunset was filling up the sky, recreating the image of the day that Izaak Jay got down on one knee and proposed. Aly nodded her head to Leah, who began to walk down the aisle with baby Alexis, the flower girl, and Jay, the ring bearer. She could hear the oohs and aahs of the guests at seeing the precious little girl in the arms of her mother walking beside a proud little boy who was doing his best to be extremely careful with a pristine white pillow.

The mother and child were down the aisle before the attention turned back to the open doorway of the cottage. Alianne radiated with a glow of happiness as all eyes turned to her. She could hear the shock of some who found her dress a little risque for a wedding. Aly didn't see the shocked expression that was most certainly on their faces. Alianne's violet eyes were locked with those striking azure eyes of her soon-to-be husband. Alianne couldn't keep the huge grin off of her face as she felt like running down the aisle into Izaak's arms. Suddenly, all that mattered was that man who was gazing right back into her eyes. Soon enough, Aly and George were down the short asile. The minister was asking who was giving away this young woman to be married. Aly heard her father answer, "Her mother and I." before he kissed her once more on her cheek and headed to sit beside Aly's mother. Alianne stepped forward, taking Izaak's hand, to stand before the preacher, wishing and praying, that he would just hurry up so she could say, I do.

As Izaak’s azure eyes darted to and fro, from Fletcher to Leah as she rose with baby Alexis, to his nephew and the pride he took in the role he had been given, all across the cosy cohort of he and his fiancée’s friends and family, his tie began to feel as if it were choking him blue. It wasn’t as if he was usually the anxious type, he’d surfed waves taller tens of feet high with nothing but a kick of adrenaline, he’d faced strangers in the media prodding him for answers to their nosy questions without so much as batting an eyelash. Why his anxieties peaked when he was surrounded by those that cared the most about him, Izaak would never know. But as his fingers curled around the neck of his tie and pulled it a fraction looser, he yearned for Aly to come and aid in calming his nonsensical nerves because then and only then would he feel at ease. Though while Aly was still absent from the scene, he would simply have to settle for the next best thing.

The waves that curled next to the quaint wedding quickly became the fixation of Izaak’s attention. He suddenly found himself wishing that he could be in there among them instead of up here at the makeshift altar in a suit that was growing suffocating. But all those niggling thoughts were washed clean from his mind when he heard a collective gasp from the guests. In the back of his mind, Izaak knew that that could only mean one thing but as he turned to face the centre of their attention, he too was blown away. There were no words to adequately label what he was feeling in that moment as his eyes settled down on the stunning woman he was about make his wife. He felt someone clap his shoulder proudly, knowing without looking that it was Marcus, but even that could not stir the groom from his reverie. Alianne Cooper could be mistaken for an angel even in her sweats, but today she had well and truly rendered the man whose heart she held speechless. Amidst the awe, his mouth had fallen open, dazed by the fact that this beautiful being was his bride. Though with each step closer she took to him in that exquisite dress that just shouted her name, Izaak felt his lips melt back together and into the brightest of smiles. The formal attire and the preacher aside, it was as it had always been between the soon-to-be newlyweds; best friends turned lovers. So that there was not only that sense of attraction to one another, that romanticised love but a different kind of love that had glued them together in the first place, the type that had nurtured him when he had hit rock bottom, the type that would never falter.

“You look beautiful.” He mouthed silently to Aly with a glimmering smile in his azure eyes as the preacher begun to address the couple and their guests. There was an urge eating him up on the inside to kiss her right then and there but instead Izaak entwined his hand further with hers and grazed his thumb lovingly over her engagement ring. Izaak knew that several pairs of eyes had fallen upon them, he was aware of the officiant’s words of marriage and love but it all seemed so distant as he and his wife-to-be gazed happily into one another’s vividly hued eyes. The young man was just about ready to pinch himself, the fact that they were even standing here was something he never would have imagined in his wildest dreams several years ago. After the accident, Izaak had been sheer inches from giving up on life. The hole that had been left in him from both Ella and Alexis’ passing was one that he and many others had deemed irreparable. But by some twist of fate Aly had managed to salvage the shell of a man Izaak had been left as and now, in his mid-twenties, he was almost whole once more. There was just one thing left to do. “Izaak Jay Finch,” he heard the minister say and turned, alert, to face him. A second wave of panic swept through the blue-eyed man, wondering if he’d be able to say ‘I do’ and praying that he could remember the vows he had written. His fingers squeezed tighter around Alianne’s as the minister continued on. “Do you take Alianne to be your lawful wedded wife to have and to hold from this day on, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?” He took a deep yet shaky breath and turned from the minister to face his bride once more. These were the two most important words he would ever say, this was for the rest of their life together and yet despite all the commitment issues he had harboured in his more youthful days, Izaak Finch was well and truly ready to embark on this new life with Aly. “I do,” he smiled at his love in the dying light of the day, assured that they had made the right decision by each other, as he heard the minister repeat the question to Aly.

Mirth gleamed anew in Tristan’s Finch blue eyes as they scooted over the wedding’s Hawaiian backdrop. Having never been to a wedding, he had always associated the ceremonies with the escalated heights of church ceilings, crucifixes adorning the stone walls, light flooding in through stained-glass windows – the more traditional wedding, if you will. But from the moment the couple had announced their wedding plans, Tristan would not have imagined their day in any other manner. The low-key, alternative set occasion fit Alianne and his brother more than the pair of them would realise. Because from where the guests were now seated, it almost appeared as if this was exactly what the two had been carved to do with their lives – to stand up on the sandy altar and speak their “I do’s”. Of course there was more to Aly and Izaak individually but they truly were such a picture perfect couple. The younger Finch envied his brother not only for the wholesome love he had found in the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, but moreso for the courage he possessed in having plucked up the courage to get down on one knee. Tristan, on the other hand, couldn’t even spit out the words ‘I love you’, he refused to even believe that he was capable of feeling something so complex and so rendering.

As the ministers words reached out beyond the couple being wedded and into the minds of the guests, Tristan shifted uncomfortably in his seat as an image materialised in his mind – his own wedding day. Being that Izaak was only five years older than Tristan made it an inescapable thought to bear. In five years time would he be up there where his brother now stood, marrying the girl of his dreams? The med student twisted his mouth anxiously as for some reason, one that he wouldn’t dare to try and inquire about, he turned to look at Ava who was seated right beside him, with her hand entangled in his. What about Ava? His frantic heart leapt into his throat at the thought of her thurst into the same position, wedding some snotty law graduate she had met in her classes. The scene didn’t fit her; not in the way that their hands were fitted so comfortably together, not in the way that they fit together. It ought to be him standing there on her wedding day as her groom.

Shocked by the trail his own thoughts were taking, Tristan hastily unwound his now clammy hand from his best friend’s and wiped it over his tailored pants. Perhaps it was the glass of champagne he had snuck earlier. Yeah, that must be it, he lamely convinced himself as he stared straight ahead into the heart of the ceremony, refusing to meet Ava’s eyes and trying his utmost best to channel all his attention toward the bride and the groom.

lamee.

Having only been to one wedding at five years old and not remembering a lick of it Ava had to go off of stories from her parents wedding and pictures when she imagined other people's. She had never been the type to care about her own because she was just happy being in the moment and when she and whoever she would fall in love with decided that they were going to get married that was when all the decisions would be made, not over the course of her life and only needing the groom like some misplaced puzzle piece. But now as she sat watching her best friend's brother get married she couldn't help herself. Avalyn looked down at her hand and how comfortably woven it was in Tristan's own, her thumb gently stroking his knuckles before she returned her gaze forward and wondered what her future husband would think of she and Tristan. The last thing she wanted was for someone she was in a serious relationship with to think that they were more than just best friends. Granted, at the moment they clearly were but she assumed that it would end once they were both at an age where it was no longer appropriate. As if having sex with your best friend while you're in a relationship is appropriate, rang a voice in her head snidely. She flinched involuntarily before squeezing Tristan's hand as if she was assuring herself that this was normal, that their feelings were seperate from their physical connection but when Tristan took his hand from hers and put it on his leg she felt her heart sink. Ava wiggled her fingers, trying to get rid of the feeling of great loss from Tristan's hand no longer being slinked together with her's, before putting both of her slender hands on her thighs and fiddled with her silk dress.

Ava tried to focus herself on Izaak and Alianne exchanging their "I do's" but she couldn't help but feel jealous that the pair had such love for each other and that she didn't understand her love life enough to know what was up and what was down. She glanced to the side and saw Leah and her husband Fletcher holding hands and sneakily exchanging glances that had pure adoration and comfort and wished this for herself. But just as she thought of herself in Leah's position, with a husband and maybe even a child she saw the unmistakable blue eyes of Tristan in the blonde children and had to keep from cringing as she thought of maybe marrying the blue eyed Finch beside her. She loved him and she was quite right to. They were best friends, love was natural to best friends but she couldn't bring herself to look over to him in case she suddenly felt more than what she had ever.

le blegh.

Alianne could not keep the brightest smile she possessed off of her face when her violet eyes locked with those bright blue eyes that she so loved. It was hard to believe that Alianne would shortly become Mrs. Izaak Finch. Her excitement and happiness shone all of the young woman's face. It was crystal clear to Aly, and to the guests gathered that Izaak Jay felt the exact same way. The couple had the same goofy grin plastered to their faces. They made a beautiful couple, right down to the unusual hues of their two eyes, and with the picture perfect sunset in the background, the wedding could not have been more perfect. The vivacious blonde got a sly look in her eyes as she read the words on her soon-to-be husband's lips. "Back at cha." she mouthed, winking at him. Aly took her place next to Izaak, her thin hand encompassed by Izaak's, as they turned to face the preacher. Alianne couldn't focus on anything that the preacher was saying to the couple, or to their family and friends that had gathered to see their union. She knew he was probably saying something about their love and future. but honestly it was all Aly could do to keep her hands by her side and off of the handsome man she was marrying.

What Alianne did hear was the vow the pastor asked Izaak to make. Aly heard him ask Izaak if he would take Aly, for better or for worse, in richness and in poorness, in sickness and in health. Alianne looked up at Izaak, love shinning out of her amethyst eyes, as she listened to the words that would forever change her life. A silly grin broke out on her face. Those two words made Aly want to jump into Izaak's arms. Izaak and the preacher looked at Alianne expectantly as it was now her turn to make the exact same promise. Aly's violet eyes did not stray away from Izaak's bright blues. "Alianne Faith Cooper," minister said to the beautiful blonde. 'Do you take Izaak to be your lawful wedded husband to have and to hold from this day on, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?" the preacher recited. A wicked grin spread across her face as Alianne stared back at Izaak Finch, hoping that he would never regret this day becasue she was certain that she never would. Izaak Finch was her one and only. The perfect match. "I most definitely do." she said, grinning like crazy. The pastor smiled at the pair who were so clearly head over heels in love. "Then, by the power invested in me, I now declare husband and wife." the pastor said with much pleasure. "Izaak, you may kiss your bride." he said. Alianne winked at her now husband, not wanting to wait on him to kiss her. She leapt into his arms, kissing him passionately on the mouth. The cheers and applause from their friends erupting around them.
