today was the day. it was early morning and Chayton was sitting in his bedroom in his dads house fiddling with a moddle ornicopter. it wasn't something people usually did on their wedding day but building and fixing htings was something that had always helped calm him. it wasn't that he was nervous about marrying Madlynn. he had known that he had wanted too ever since he was about seventeen. it was more that he was nervous that he wanted everything to go well. Chaton wound up the band on the front of the machine and watched as the wings began to flap. It was then that he heard movement on the other side of the door signifying that his dad was awake. today was the day.
he left his room and showered. taking extra care and ducking under the showerhead to make sure that he was ready. by the time he emerged in the kitchen, harry had almost finished making breakfast. Chay set the table glad to have this breakfast alone with his dad before his best man arrived. neither he nor his dad was particularly chatty people. so the breakfast was a quiet affare each lost in their own thoughts.

Chayton wasn't sure where the morning had gone. as soon as they finished breakfast Dederick had arrived and they had started the preparations. he and madlyn has opted for a wedding that was mainly western but with some native traditions. such as the location and setting as well as having some native tones to their outfits including feathers and blankets. as they were men it was their job to set up the venue as apparently, the girls needed the entire morning to get ready once things were set up they had gone back to his dad's house showered and changed into his suit before returning to the venue ready to welcome the guests.

Madlyn awoke to the smell of fry bread and a fresh kettle of coffee no doubtfully prepared by her mother to purposely get her daughter out of bed. It worked, grumbling out of her sleep, Madlyn sat upright to notice Chante had disappeared from her side. Madlyn patted the empty spot, then went onto stretch her long limbs. For someone who was getting married later on, she felt at ease and relax. Cool as cucumber, Madlyn rose from her old bed and did a little tidying before she went out into the kitchen to join her mother and daughter for breakfast. It wasn't long that she was dipping a piece of fry bread inside a mug of black coffee. Iris offered to prepared eggs for the bride to be, Madlyn thank the elder woman but wouldn't want to trouble her mother anymore than she's already has. Iris insist that it was no trouble at all, Chante jumped up from her seat and tells her mother to go on and shower and forget the eggs. The tall woman chuckles, shaking her head. This was going to be one memorable day. Madlyn asked about Briar and her other sisters, again Chante orders the woman to shower.

Showered with her hair toweled dry, Chante assist her mother into the dress Iris had made herself with some help from women of the rez. Most of measurement and knitting is done by magic, but some parts of the dress was woven by hands. It looked professionally made, modern and yet there was some special threading to highlight their tribe's roots. Madlyn loved the dress, it was a change up from the plaid shirts and jeans she wore typically when she was not teaching. A change up to the robe that usually hid most of her body, in this off white dress she shine like the morning sun. Mandela, the oldest of the Margera's girls, was gifted in makeup and hair. It's why she left to New York to make something of herself in the beauty world. That didn't all work out, as she got married instead, nonetheless she didn't lose her gift after having children. Madlyn requested a natural look and was blown away how her sister had manage to highlight parts her face. Chante, was intrigued by the makeup use and could see why girls wore lipstick in school. After some feathering had been added to hair, Madlyn was ready so was everyone else. The calmness she felt before wasn't all that present as before. Madlyn couldn't believe she was getting married to the most wonderful man in the world, it's just felt like yesterday they were meeting for the first time and she was clueless on how to connect with him. And here they were about to make a commitment she already done made in her heart and soul years ago.

Briar couldn't believe that her sister was getting married. She and Chayton had been together for about as long as she and dee had been. she often forgot that they weren't already married. then again she and dee weren't married either. She woke up early like always going for a jog before anyone else got up.
By the time she returned willow was already awake and drinking a glass of juice. she could tell her daughter was excited. more so than her son but willow had always been closer to her aunt than Linden. she started making eggs and bacon as Dederick appeared looking tired like he often did in the morning. but like usual a hot coffee and some breakfast woke him up. after breakfast, they separated. dederick going to the groom's house and she made her way to her sisters.

The morning was spent getting ready. Briar watched amazed as Mandela did Madlyns make up. slowly transforming her from the Madlyn she knew to a beautiful bride. it was interesting that such small changes, a bit of colour here and a bit of shading there could make such a difference. when it was her turn most of the attention was spent on trying to cover up the scars that still lined her from a time when she had been careless for a few months many years ago and of course the perpetual circles under her eyes. looking into the mirror she couldn't believe the difference. she looked so much younger. maybe what she would have looked like if she had never been bitten. but no, she would never wish that away some people saw it as a curse but it had brought so much into to her life. Today was her sisters day not her day to be vain or selfishly sentimental. she helped her sister as best as she could before it was time to go to the venue.
It was such a perfect setting, She watched as Madlyn moved down the aisle and saw how Chaytons expression changed as he saw her and she could tell just how much they loved each other and how perfect they were together as she got in position ready for the ceremony to begin.

The morning went by so quickly, he couldn't believe it was time for the ceremony to begin already. He had just sorted a few more chairs and directed guests to their rightful seats. He'd pressed his thumbs down on his collar, making sure both sides were neatly folded and that the buttons on his shirt were properly linked. Dederick's hair, usually messy and unkempt was brushed back with gel maintaining his locks in place. It was strange to look himself in the mirror, so he didn't bother with it. He trusted Chayton would tell him if he looked off or if he was forgetting something. His brother-in-law approved of his wardrobe with a simple nod. That was good enough for him, Dederick rather not fuss anymore about something else. It was time to get in place, the bride and her bridesmaids have arrived. Stepping beside the very giant man, Dederick felt like a child standing next to Chayton. To a muggle, Chayton's height can be quite frightening. A muggle would be running for his dear life to get away, while Dederick stood casually and oddly relaxed. He may be amongst some strangers, but with Chayton he was fine and with his partner joining them, he was better. The corner of his mouth lifted seeing Briar behind Madlyn, he was taken back by her lovely appearance. Dederick always thought of her beautiful in her own way, the natural look was her. It didn't mean he didn't like what he saw, the makeup highlighted the best parts of her.

Today was so exciting. aunty Madlyn and uncle chay were getting married. she woke up before her mum had returned from her run and started to make some coffee. it was going to be a busy day and they would all need it. After breakfast, she went with her mum to kunsi's house. it was a fun morning she and chante hung out. she watched as aunt Mandela did madlyn and mums makeup. she watched intently. she enjoyed playing with makeup though she didn't wear it every day. when she did for events she usually went with something bold. but what Mandela was doing was really subtle but made a great difference. before she knew it shew as arriving at the venue running her hand through her recently short hair as she scanned through the crowd looking for familiar faces. noelle, her boyfriend was there as her guest. and of course, her mum was nearby. she smiled as she saw her dad looking comically short next to Clayton. which wasn't a surprise but to her dad had always been big strong and sturdy. she waited her turn to escort her aunt down the aisle then took her place at the front a little further away than the adults but she could see everything clearly. it was a good thing too as the ceremony started she was drawn in by the mix of traditional and modern and the clear love that was the base of the whole thing.

It was a long time coming, but finally, her parents were getting married. A normal occurrence that happens to muggles and magic folks alike, but rarely does it happens to those that are like her parents. Like her. Chante couldn't be more happy that her parents found each other and had shown so many how devoted and loving someone like her can be to their partner. Their morning was spent eating Kunsi's delicious breakfast and getting ready for the special day. Chante was glad to have Willow around as her cousins from New York were more interested in chatting with the local rez kids and getting ready themselves. Chante gushed over Willow's new look and thought it went well with her cousin's personality. Chante wore her dark hair partway up while the rest ran down her back with some feathering attached to some locks. She rarely did much with hair since it's smooth out over the years, once in a while she wore it up on special occasions like this. Aunty Mandela did wonders with makeup, and Chante could see why some girls at school wore makeup. It really highlighted one's face if done nicely. Once they were ready they headed over to the venue. Chante was amazed at all the work and effort was done to make the place traditional and yet modern for her parents. Chante took her place and walked down the aisle smiling ear to ear. She invited Grayson to the event and was glad to see him sitting next to her aunt Jackie. Chante wave at the both of them then took her place behind Willow and her mom. Linden was all dressed up with his hair slightly managed, stood at her side ready to hand over the rings.

music started and it began. Chayton couldn't believe it was really happening. why had it taken him this long? it wasn't as though he had been even the slightest bit unsure on things, he had decided he was going to marry Madlyn years ago. when he was still at school. All guilt on the delay was gone from his mind as the music started and he turned to see madlyn walking towards him accompanies by their daughter, her sisters and family. His breath caught in his throat, and he felt like he was seeing her again for the first time. she was beautiful. He had always thought that she was always the most beautiful person but today it was clear for everyone. He took his brides hands tearing his eyes away form her in order to look at the chief who was standing on a podium though still not as tall as either of them. the event started with a chant and poem blessing them and everyone here as a blanket was placed around his shoulders by his dad. He looked around there were a lot of people. many from the res who he had grown up around, there were also people who Madlyn worked with and people who they had been at school with. Then it was time for the vows, his eyes returned to his wife and he felt like he would never be able to look away. "Madlyn. Ever since we first met I knew that I never wanted anyone else in my life. I was wrong, of course, thanks to the arrival of Chante, our daughter to complete the family. no matter how well things are going you are always there like the sun making the world brighter, and in dark times you are there as the stars to show how there is always good to be found. It may have been many years ago since we met, on a cold unusually sunny winter day every day since my love for you has grown. I promise to be by your side no matter what, through the warm summers and dark winters of life.
You are my soulmate, My feet shall run because of you, My feet shall dance because of you. My heart shall beat because of you, My eyes see because of you, My mind thinks because of you, And I shall love because of you. The spirit that guides us has always known that, known from the very beginning. for it brought us together, and now let it be seen by the world."
he said. he had written his vows incorporating a traditional blessing, not strictly originally from their tribe but he had felt it connect to them and the chief had agreed.

guests are now welcome to post.

Eva was spared that summer break when she was invited to a colleague's wedding. Although she had two wedding options to go, she decided warmer is the best. She offered her brother an invite to be her plus one but he decided making an informative investigation was more important than having fun. Eva packed a small bag for a one night trip as she was dealing with her parents re-election when she gets back in England. Life with politician parents is always a gamble.

The Arithmancy Professor apparated to Solen, North Dakota where the temperature was 30 degrees Celsius. Would love to exchange my residency here, She joked to herself. The little town was cute and cozy. Once a little sight seeing was done, she head down to where Madlyn's wedding would be and the sight was beautiful. Simple but beautiful. Eva took a seat at the back, she merely know anyone here but the bride herself. Once the music started, a beautiful Madlyn came out and walked down the aisle toward her future husband.

Everyone was silent as the ceremony started, Eva couldn't help but smile at the vow the groom did. It was truly touching.
"I hope mine would be like this too." She whispered to somebody beside her. The blonde wasn't much paying attention to the person beside her.

Pip wore the biggest smile on his face as the wedding ceremony was well on its way to becoming the most heartfelt thing he's ever did witness. And that's coming from someone who looked after a variety of magical creatures for a living and helps birth them. Ever seen a unicorn push a foal to existence? He's been there, done that plenty. He didn't know what it was that made the event so sentimental to him. Maybe it was the rare sight of two grand spirits coming together as one? It's not an everyday occurrence for those of large statue to find their other half, their soulmate. Pip would like that for himself one day, but currently, his work at the Sanctuary in New Zealand hogged up all his attention. Since opening, Pip expressed some great interest in getting a position there. It wasn't easy, those who were taught at home had a more difficult time getting any kind of work. With some help from Madlyn, Pip was hired. It took a while to get the Sanctuary to consider him, however, with a good reference the Sanctuary took a chance with him.

"Yeah, that Chayton a romantic one, isn't me?" Pip smiles over at the blonde he sat next to. "And I was told he was shy when he was younger, who would've thought," Pip whispered. He had a chat with the groom's father, a nice man who smaller compare to the son. They lived a fairly average life compared to the Margeras, the Margeras were always moving around like nomads. Harry and his son were from Solen, and Chayton is the one that left while his father stayed behind.

It was apparently wedding season this break, but the woman suspected she would enjoy this wedding a great deal more than the other. This wedding didn't come with the same level of baggage for her, and indeed, she walked into the space with a lightness to her step, her green dress moving around her knees with the breeze. Finding a seat easily, the woman took the space in and nodded her head to a few other colleagues. Then, the ceremony began and much like with other weddings, Cyndi was happy to have brought tissues along. The words they spoke to each other hit with extra oomph today, and Cyndi found herself missing her ex-husband, what they used to be before the Ministry of Magic had gotten in the way. She played with the shreds of tissue in her hand as the ceremony continued.

This was the second wedding of a colleague this break, and Matt was happy to attend. This one felt less intimidating, even though there were still plenty of strangers there. It seemed like the other teachers thought the same thing, as this time he didn't enter the wedding in a protective huddle of professors. Instead, he was with his husband. Though he was sure to talk to many of his colleagues before the day was over. Matt didn't know Madlyn that well, they hadn't been colleagues for that long. The most noteworthy memory he had of her was when she had beaten him at the wheelbarrow race. Like at the other wedding, Matt had brought a book as a gift for the couple, a rare edition of a book on magical creatures. He was fairly predictable in his gift giving, but never thought a book was a bad gift to give. He sat next to his husband, though he spotted Cyndi nearby and gave her a quick smile. Then he looked over at the ceremony as it unfolded. It was beautiful and romantic, and Matt had to dab at his eyes with his sleeve. He was reminded of his own wedding, and how wonderful that had been.

She knot together her eyebrows as the person beside her told her that the groom was a shy person before. It would be fun to know his fate. Eva studied the groom before acknowledging the person beside her. A man in his early thirties. The blonde woman smiled and whispered back, "Do you know the groom? I'm here with the bride, she's a Professor at Hogwarts New Zealand." Actually, she's now noticing some of the people there. The Head of Gryffindor house and the History of Magic Professor was there as well.

Eva looked back at the ceremony unfolding, she can't wait to congratulate the newlyweds and have fun afterwards. The place looks serene and she wanted to explore the town. @Pip Puffskin

it was an exciting day. uncle chay and aunty madlyn were getting married. he was woken up by his mum and given breakfast before he and dad made their way to uncle chay's dads house. there wasnt much to do do get ready so he spent most of the morning looking oking around the house looking at all the cool things harry had. it wasnt long before he was told he had to get ready to go and set up. he went with them but there wasnt much for him to do. the man did most of the work with magic. he did organise some items in the table at the front and help with some other things but mostly he just stayed out of the way.
After a quick freshen up back at the house he was put on his suit.
he had only been to one wedding once before. Jason, one of his closest friends from the football teams mum had gotten married a couple of years ago and he had been invited to the reception it had been a fun party and he and Jason had kept stealing the food, drank as much cola as they could and danced. it had been fun but he was sure that this was going to be a different kind of wedding.
just as they were leaving the house he looked at his dad and uncle. he was not used to seeing his uncle in anything smarter than his work clothes. and seeing such a big man in a suit seemed weird especially with the feathers in his hair. it almost made him seem bigger. his dad also looked weird. he had seen him in a suit occasionally but his dad's hair had been styled back, just like his had been, with some gel. just before the ceremony began Harry gave him a box to carry down the aisle as they waited for his aunt to arrive with his mum and sister. he followed them down the aisle just behind where his sister and cousin walked but instead of following the girls at the end he walked the other way over to his dad. it was here that he waited. as the chief started talking Linden used his time to look over the people in the audience. he recognised some of them from around solen but not many. he wondered if any of them would be his teachers one day. he wondered where his sisters' boyfriend was. he wanted to see him as willow had hardly stopped talking about him all holiday.
his attention turned to the front as the chanting stopped and Chayton spoke. and was surprised to see the two giants with blankets around their shoulders. it was summer. it wasn't cold. he listened to the words and thought they sounded nice but nothing like the waddings heh ad seen on TV. he waited for his cue when it was his turn to walk forward and give them the box that he had ut in his pocket to save him from holding it.

Invited to a wedding as his girlfriend's date, Noelle arrived, although unsure of what to wear, looking his absolute best for his girl's family. It was a good excuse to leave the house with all Yvette's yakking about Alexis and this boy, Joshua, who was apparently Alexis' best friend. Noelle thought the Ravenclaw pair were dating but when he saw Xavier coming to Valentine's Dance with his friend, Noelle finally understood. Well, Alexis was a great friend and distant relative so it was no surprise that the girl had a lot of friends. Spotting Willow, he made his way over to her and gave a chaste kiss to the cheek. "I was not late, right?", he joked before taking his place with the other guests as the ceremony started. Professor Ateara was one of his favorites and did not even guess that the wonderful professor was family to the girl he was dating. Chante was also in attendance as well as other professors in the school.

Grayson had been surprised to be invited to a wedding over the holidays by Chante but he was happy to go and knew he would have fun with the Hufflepuff. During the ceremony he found himself sat next to a woman he didn't know while Chante was off taking part in the wedding. When the ceremony was over Grayson got up from his seat and went to look for Chante in the crowd. It had been a beautiful ceremony but now he was looking forward to a party.

There was someone important missing to making this the perfect, most memorable day in her life. As she took her steps carefully down the aisle with her lovely mother, the face of her late father materializes in her thoughts. Not the way she saw him on that awful day in school when she found him, but the way she fondly remembers him. He was a gentle spirit with a heart of gold. He taught Madlyn many lessons, one of them was to be proud of who you are and don't let anyone define you. At first, she didn't take his words to heart, her stubbornness wouldn't allow it. Over time, his words took effect. It took a long time to understand his lessons, it took breaking through her tough exterior to know her worth. And so much of that couldn't have been possible without her sister, Briar and the love of her life. Chayton. Fresh tears threaten to shed thinking about that strong, gentle giant who she had the honor to call him father. She wished he was here, it would complete the entire ceremony if he were alive today. At least she had him in memories, it was better than not having nothing at all.

Chayton's sweet words completely took her breath away, if she wasn't tearing up then, she was certainly tearing up now. She wiped away the tears she shed and saw her whole world right before her eyes. "Chayton, you are the kindest and most loving person I ever did meet. I'm so very, very lucky to have you in my life. Although it took some time and effort to get here, you were patient with me every step of the way. And not only were you loving and caring, but you also gave me a gift of life. Something I thought would never happen, a beautiful daughter to call our own. It's been quite eventful with just us three, but you are my life. Every second of every waking day I couldn't imagine my life without you. You're my best friend, my love, my other half and much more. If we were ever to part, nothing could ever change how much you've impacted my life. Nothing in the world can match what you have done for me, and I thank you for the bottom of my heart, my love..." Madlyn spoke every meaningful word with her entire being. She felt her heart swell up so, it felt like it was going to explode. Madlyn tries to remain calm as little Linden gave up the rings and both would exchange earthly symbol of their love to one another. A few more words recited from the chief and then they were finally allowed to kiss! Madlyn smiles wide before she leans over and kisses her husband lovingly on his lips. Both her hands would embrace his cheeks, as they deepen the kiss. Those at the ceremony would break out in applause and cheers. Madlyn parted from her husband's lips, grinning back at their friends and family.

Beautiful, everything was beautiful. briar relaxed as everything started moving smoothly to plan. As she made her way escorting her sister she saw Dederick at the front despite the focus that was meant to be on the groom she couldnt help locking eyes with her love. he looked so smart in a suit and with his hair gelled back, not like him. She prefered how he looked when he came home from a day of fishing, coated in salt and so very alive but this was nice as a change. she turned her attention back to her sister and iris as she wondered whattheyy would be thinking right now. as close as she was to her sister she knew that this walk was one that had to be shaired between mother and daughter.
From her position at the front Briar could see over the guests as she waited for the ceromony to start. There were a few familiar faces. aside from the obvious extended family and family friends there were professors from the school. some new but some had been at the school so long they had taught her when she had been there. there were also members of the world of magical creatures she recognised a magizoologist who she had seen about from time from at work and other events. there was another face in the audience that she recognised but did not expect one of her former clients in the audience. the man hadn't been into the department for a while but by the looks of things it was because he was doing well for himself as he seemed to be there with one of the professors. she tried not to focus on him too much. she was all to aware of what her reputation was. and even ig she wasn't quiet about her condition a lot of others were. not focusing on him was easy as the ceremony had begun and she turned her gaze back at the happy couple in front of her. she was not going to miss this.
the ceremony was so perfect, it was simple and personal and fit her sister and brother-in-law so well. the start with the chanting felt both so earthly and otherworldly it almost reminded her of her first family so far ago. then came time for the vows. Chayton went first and his words were absolutely adorable. she had known him since not too long after they had met and had watched him grow alongside her sister. she tried to imagine the self conscious seventeen year old having the confidence to stand up and say that and she just couldn't. next it was Madlyns turn and if she had not been close to tears she was now. she felt a tear run down her cheek and raised a hand to wipe it away. she didn't cry. she was tough. but this is not proper crying she thought as two more tears ran down her cheek. next was her sons role in the ceremony as he came forward and presented them with the rings. he looked almost like a doll next two the two of them. his head hardly above the mans waist. as the couple exchanged the rings and chief said his final words briar focussed waiting for her cue. she had some skill in both non verbal and windless magic but she had been practicing this for weeks at home. she was not going to stuff it up. as the couple put their arms around each other and kissed briar cast the spell that caused the two blankets that they each had around their shoulders to join together as one representing their union. a magic twist on a tribal tradition. only when she was sure that the magic had worked did she let herself join in the applause and cheering.

Dederick wished he could describe the ceremony, what he was feeling at the moment when he locked eyes with his love...in plain text, he was feeling overwhelmingly speechless. Dederick stepped back and tries to give a congratulating pat on Chayton's arm before the pair were swarmed by friends and family. It may have landed or not. Dederick was already pulling his son to the side to avoid getting trampled on. He guided the young boy to his mother, he leans over to give her a small, tender kiss. "That was nice," Dederick nodded, it's the first word that came to mind. It was nice and definitely overwhelming, he won't add onto his depiction of the wedding. He smiles at his partner, wrapping an arm over her shoulders. "You look beautiful, by the way. Different, and beautiful," he tells her candidly, without a second thought given.

Kahurangi was surprised so many of her colleagues were getting married this holiday, but she had been happy to receive invitations to both weddings. She didn't know Madlyn especially well yet, but it warmed her heart that so many of her coworkers had found love. Gave Kahurangi hope for herself. Weddings were difficult sometimes, though, and though the words the couple said were beautiful, part of Kahurangi ached for someone to think of her that way. She did her best to push her sorrows aside and focus on being happy for the couple, wiping her eyes quickly as the ceremony finished.

Kyle had mysteriously accidentally been unable to get out of work for Professor Styx's wedding, something that he still felt a little guilty over. He didn't like sending Matt by himself, but the thought of going to the wedding of a professor who had terrified him as an eleven year old was too much for Kyle to handle. This wedding, though, Kyle was more than happy to attend. He hadn't been to a wedding since his own, and getting ready reminded Kyle of that wonderful day all over again. He took Matt's hand as they settled in to watch the ceremony, squeezing gently, glad to be here with him. That happiness abated very slightly as Kyle looked up at the wedding party, spotting Briar. He had found her frustrating at best when he had used Werewolf Support Services in the past, and wasn't especially happy to see the woman here. He would have to keep away from her, and hope she didn't think it was okay to talk about his condition in public, though the way she went on about her own, it wouldn't have surprised Kyle. He did his best to ignore her and focus on the ceremony, heart melting at the beautiful way the couple spoke about each other. It reminded him in the best way of his own wedding, and Kyle squeezed Matt's hand, grateful to be by his side today.

Pip nodded, "Both actually. Madlyn, more than Chayton. She was a former Magizoologist's aide before resigning to teach," Pip smiled kindly at the blonde. Pip returns his attention where it was demanded. The ceremony, he would summarize it to be very intimate and lovely nuptial. Briar came along and made it more incredible with magic and entwine with traditions of the past. When all was said and done, Pip joined in the applauds and cheers for the newlyweds. With everyone surrounding the newlyweds, Pip duck to leave a gift for the family. It was a handmade pallet sign with a nice little quote and the family's surname, Pip thought it would be superb for their home and a lot more appropriate than an illegal dragon egg. What trouble that would bring had he gone with a hatchling dragon.

Pip made his way over to the reception area, planning to stay for a while but not very long. "Sorry, won't be around for long but it would be rude of me to leave without getting your name. A proper introduction is in order, I'm Pip, Pip Puffskin," he reached the blonde he sat with earlier. She seemed pleasant enough to track down before he heads off back to New Zealand. He could use with new friends and figure it wouldn't hurt to make an attempt with the professor.

As Madlyn spoke it took all of Chayten's focus not to feel embarrassed by her words. it had taken this long but he had come far enough to grow from being shy and convinced that everyone in the world was out to get him to being able to stand her holding hands with someone who he planned to spend the rest of his life with. and madlyn had been. huge part of that change. her beautiful words reminded him that the relationship had always been two ways and she had also grown because of him. as their nephew approached with the rings he had to remind himself that this wasn't a dream and he was not about to wake up a seventeen year old plagued by bullies and afraid of everything in life. as he listened to every word chante said he had to hold himself back from hugging her close until the right time.
as his nephew came over to hand the ring he welcomed the moment to duck down and take them from him. he took the moment to wipe his eyes. he wasn't crying but he could feel the emotion building up like a dam waiting to spill out. He put the ring on her finger and waited for her to repeat the gesture and waited for the chief to announce them as married before he leant forward to kiss Madlyn. gentle at first as he heard their family and friends break into applause and cheers. he put his arms around her as she held his face close and as they kissed again deeper this time and he felt the blankets around their shoulders bind together to make one blanket symbolising their unity.
he pilled apart as the family and friends made their way towards them. well not truly part they were still joined by the blanket draped around them and he had his arm still around her holding her to him not wanting to be any further from her than he had to be. he felt a pat on his arm and looked to see his brother in law and best man standing there he nodded to him. thank you"[/b] he said before they were engulfed in people and he was unable to say anything else. and he was just standing there beaming stupidly standing next to the most wonderful lady in the world.

Briar watched as the ceremony came to an end. and many guests came up to congratulate the couple. she stayed where she was. she would have her time to congratulate her sister later and large crushes of people were never her favourite place to be. she had grown better at them but she would still rather have her personal space. she took a step back to give everyone some more space and from her vantage point, she saw Dederick and Lindon coming towards them. she kissed dee back lightly before turning to her son "you did great little bird she said reacing and ruffling his hair in a way that made him squirm. she nodded as Dederick had said that it had been nice. it had been a beautiful ceremony. and almost made her think that maybe she would like to get married one day, but they had decided long ago that marriage wasn't for either of them and they hadn't changed that much.
she hadn't realised that her daughter was still with them until she spoke up, she had assumed that she had gone to find her boyfriend "NICE, seriously dad NICE. out of all the words you could think of to describe that you pick NICE came the teenager's voice. she looked at the girl a stern look on her face but she couldn't hold it for long as the redhead's classic teasing expression especially combined with her new short red hair compared to the traditionally inspired bridesmaids dress led to a figure that it was nearly impossible to be stern to. "It was perfect. just so very Madlyn and Clayton" she said. it was very sweet, simple understated and just so them.
As Dederick put his arm around her shoulder she wrapped hers around his waist and grinned as he complimented her "Thank you. you don't scrub up half bad yourself." she said. she didn't know if it was the soft lighting or the subtle changes to how he looked or just the glow radiating off from the happy couple but she realised just how good looking he was. it made her think of what he would have looked like if he wasn't a werewolf and wasn't perpetually cursed with a look of extreme tiredness. she had to admit if that was the case she would likely never have ended up with him, at least not for more than a few days.

Madlyn wore the brightest of all smiles as the blankets are bind together as one with a wandless charm, Briar had done amazing in her part of the ceremony. She will forever be in her sister's debt, it couldn't have run smoothly without her. Madlyn had blood sisters, but out of all her sisters, it's apparent to everyone she was closest to the one that was adopted into her family. Not only were they sisters, but Madlyn and Briar were also the best of friends. A deep bond she shares with another was also here to celebrate life and love, there would be no celebration happening without Briar. Engulfed in the noise and cheers, Chante joins the pair hugging both her parents. "Congrats, I'm so happy I was here to be a part of this," Chante tips on her toes planting a kiss on both her parent's cheeks. Madlyn hugged her one and only child, chuckling softly. "Why wouldn't you be here, Winona? You're our miracle one," the tall, joyous bride cupping the teen's lovely face and bringing to kiss her daughter on top of her crown. Chante smiles, humming in response. "It wouldn't be no fun if I wasn't born yet. Love you both," Chante hugs her parents and then went off to find Grayson. Madlyn waves after her daughter then returned holding her husband's gaze, "Ready to have a bit of fun and food, it's been one of the best days of our life," Madlyn grins kissing her husband afterward, it was the third time today they've kissed in front of a crowd of relatives and friends. They weren't always so animated, however, today was a special day and how could she not kissed her husband. He so lovely and sweet, and she can't forget quite contiguously kissable when she was in the mood.

Dedrick furrowed his brows, looking between offended and confused. "Whaaaaat? Nice, is NICE. What more do you want me to say," the man simply shrugs, giving a chuckle at the stubbornness and brazenness mouth on his daughter. He shook his head, that new hairdo really ramped up the personality on her. "Yes, I agree, it was very them. And, it was thanks to your mother and everyone here that made it possible," Dederick credited his partner. He never thought of getting married much when he was younger, never been a traditional fellow, however, he may reconsider his position on that again. Things changed, he's changed to some extent, he can't deny that. Nor can Briar deny the same change they dealt with together. Dederick gaze at his partner, in silence he was kinda liking the idea of doing something small and straight to the point. Nice and simple, that will work for him. He gave Briar a small smile and kissed her once more. "I'm going to get something to drink, come on Linden," Dederick pulled the small boy to where refreshments and treats were line up at the nearby table. "I'll get you something too."
