"Ooooh, look at you, all neat and prim,
Trying to act so proper and grim!
Tuck your shirt and comb your hair,
Vex'll fix that – beware, beware!

Pranks and jokes, I’m on the prowl,
Rules are boring, hear me howl!
Tick and tock, the clock will chime,
Mischief’s coming – it’s Vexie time!"

The nonbeing danced through the corridor singing at the top of his lungs at way too early in the morning.

Lilith was minding her own business, taking a walk around the castle. They were well into the first semester already and time felt to be flying so the second year did everything to enjoy every moment. Her thoughts were interrupted by a menacing voice singing about... Something? She thought she recognized the voice but was not sure from where, as she rounded the corner her eyes fell on the poltergeist that had cause ruckus at that unofficial club meeting. "Isn't it too early to be causing mayhem?" The Ravenclaw called out to the menace of the castle. The sound of his voice sent chills up and down her spine, both at the same time making it all that much worse.

Matt was an early riser and tended to enjoy the quiet of the castle before most of the students were around, hurrying to class. It wasn't uncommon for Matt to take a little wander through the castle before breakfast. What was uncommon was that someone was singing loudly and badly. Matt let out a soft sigh before looking up slowly at Vex, who was floating and dancing through the corridor. A young girl called out to him and Matt winced, he always thought it was safest to ignore the poltergeist, but it seemed like not everyone agreed on that strategy. He was aware he shouldn't be worried about the creature technically, Matt was in charge of the place after all. He just expected that Vex didn't care about that one bit. "Good morning, Vex." He said tiredly, hoping vaguely that he might draw his attention away from the young Ravenclaw if he was going to cause mayhem here.

Vex laughed with all the volume that he could as he was asked by a young being if it was too loud in the morning. Well the non-being certainly didn't think so! He immediately floated down to the girl before reaching out to flick her on the nose. "TOO LOUD! IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY FOR THE BEAUTY OF MY MUSIC!" He told her straight, because she clearly didn't understand what greatness he had in him to question him like this. When he heard the Headmaster's voice, he puffed out his chest. He was no King, Vex missed his Kingy. "NOT KING! GOOD MORNING!"

Matt winced at the yelling of the poltergeist. It definitely was too early for this, but he knew complaining about it would do no good. He was trying to think of a way to make Vex be quiet, but he supposed that was like trying to fly without wings or breathe underwater without gillyweed. He forced a smile as Vex addressed him. "Good morning, you're nice and... upbeat so early." He said. "I could remind you of my name, if you'd like." He added in a friendly tone, though he knew it also wouldn't do any good. He wondered if Vex knew he was 6 headmasters behind. Had all the previous headmasters gotten this lovely nickname, or was Matt specifically disappointing for not being Nicolas King? He wasn't sure he wanted to know.

Lilith saw the Headmaster approaching and gave a shy smile to the man, she wasn't doing anything wrong but somehow she was scared he'd think she was. As the poltergeist got all up in her face and flicked her nose the second year scrunched it in response, only for the being to scream again. Well that was a lovely wake-up call if she'd ever heard one. "That is certainly one way to describe it." She said gingerly to both the being calling its howling music and the Headmaster calling it nice and upbeat being. "Good morning sir!" She said suddenly remembering that yeah the headmaster himself was there, perhaps it was best to not ignore him, you know just in case she ever found herself in a situation with the headmaster where she didn't want to be remembered as 'the second year Ravenclaw that ignored me'.

The non being clutched his chest dramatically, floating backwards as if he were just mortally wounded by such horrible words. “OH HOW IT WOUNDS ME THAT YOU THINK I WOULD FORGET YOU NOT KINGY” he wailed, spinning in the air before he suddenly stopped mid-twirl. "Though, if you want to remind me, I do so love a good story!” He grinned, clearly not planning to actually listen. He missed Kingy’s stories, she would let him write on her walls with red paint. Yes she would, she didn’t at all get annoyed with him and have it scrubbed off at all - not even a single time once. But he noticed the student soon after, and he gasped in shock throwing both hands to his cheeks in shock. “AHA SHE SPEAKS! And so POLITELY TOO! Good morning, sir!he mimicked in a sing-song voice before giggling maniacally. “You don’t have to be scared, little Ravenclaw! Unless, of course, you should be. Have you been misbehaving? Because if you have you simply MUST tell me, I can keep SO MANY Secrets.“ he loved a good bit of gossip. Made the Ghost meetings he wasn’t invited to more lively.

Matt smiled at the girl, surprised she stayed so calm around Vex despite being only a second year. He wondered if she had encountered him before. He seemed to have a more active period again recently, to the chagrin of a lot of the teachers. "Oh, if you didn't forget my name I have no reason to remind you." Matt said mildly. He let out a small sigh as Vex targeted Miss Ilves. "I'm not sure if she would tell you while I'm standing here." He pointed out. "Unless I pretend not to listen, maybe? What do you think?" He asked Vex, mostly hoping to distract him from the Ravenclaw again.

OOC: pretend I didn't forget there was another King headmaster and it was all Matt's fault for making the wrong assumption thnx

Lilith was beginning to relax as the Headmaster spoke to the being but then the poltergeist seemed to have its sights set on getting her in trouble. Her eyes widened ever so slightly at the indication that she had been misbehaving, shaking her head nervously she took a small step towards the adult in the situation. "No, nope!" She quickly defended herself. "He is right, even if I had done something maybe wouldn't be the smartest thing to confess in front of a professor and far less so the actual headmaster," there was a bit of an amused tilt to her voice. "Though I do appreciate the offer!" Lilith added but even if she were to be in trouble Vex would be the last being she'd trust with her secrets.
