Alicia stood as the Great Hall filled up and walked to the podium. She stood next to the glowing Goblet of Fire as the blue flames danced around the surface of the cup. She smiled and put up her hand. "If I could please have quiet, we can begin our selection of TriWizard Champions." The immediate hush was surprising, but Alicia only smiled. She walked up next to the cup and put her hand up. With a pop and a hissing sound, a piece of parchment came fluttering out and landed in her hand. "For Durmstrang......Cameron Kingsley!" She clapped along with the rest of the people in the Hall.

Raising her hand back up to the cup, another piece of parchment fluttered down and landed in her hand. "For Hogwarts Scotland.....Nina Patrokov!" She clapped again. There was a hush that followed and she could feel the tension in all the students at Hogwarts New Zealand. Moving again to the cup, she raised her hand and a final scrap of paper fluttered down. She read the name and smiled. "Our Hogwarts New Zealand Champion is.....Hilary Grace!!" She clapped loudly as the Hall erupted in cheering.

"If I could please have each of the champions come forth and join me on the stage." She smiled as the three students did so. She gestured her arm out and said, "Another round of applause for our TriWizard Champions." She waited while the Hall erupted in sound and then she clapped with them.

"Champions, you may now soak in the attention. Your first task will begin on Monday." She smiled at them, then whispered "You will recieve a piece of parchment. This will be the start of the task." She clapped again, then returned to her seat as the stage was rushed with people hoping to congratulate their champions.

Kiera waited axiously as the Goblet began to spit out names. Her eyes widened with shock when the first name was called out. It was her brother's name! Kiera jumped up and clapped her hands loudly. "Whoo hoo!! Go Cam!" she yelled out. She realized to late that she was making a skeptical of herself. She returned to her seat and listened patiently for the other two names.

Kiera clapped politely for the Hogwarts Scotland champion. The tension in the room grew as they awaited the last name. Kiera breathed a sigh of relief to hear Hilary's name called. There was no way she could have competed against her brother. She clapped and cheered for Hilary.

Still Kiera was now in a tight spot. Who was she going to cheer for? Cameron was her brother but Hilary was a fellow Gryffindor, her friend, and her school's champion. This is going to be an interesting year... she thought to herself.

Andromeda watched in hushed rapture as the headmistress stood by the Goblet of Fire to await the names of the champions. She was on the edge of her seat with anticipation. First the Durmstrang name came out, the name sounded very familiar. Quickly she turned to Kiera but just as quickly turned back as the HS champion was then revealed. She had her own idea which one she wanted to be their champion but clapped loudly anyhow when a girl called Nina was revealed. And then it came to their own champion.
The Gryffindor table erupted when Hilary's name was called out. Andromeda jumped to her feet, her hands nearly sore from clapping and cheering for her. This year was definitely going to be exciting now.

Zazuka told herself that she was more ready to face the Drumstrang boys and come out consiose while she walked onto the great hall. She looked up at Professor Barker as she told them who was going to be representing each school for the Triwizard tornament. Zazuka put her fingers in her mouth and wistled loudly when Hilary's name was called. "GO HILLARY!" She cryed happely.

Evie entered the Great Hall along with her Durmstrang pupils, as she took her seat at the top table along with Alicia and other Professors, she waited anxiously for the name to come out of the Goblet.

As everyone entered the Hall and were settled down, Alicia walked over to the Goblet and waited for the names.

After a few moments, the first piece of paper came out of the Goblet.

Alicia said "For Durmstrang..." and Evie's heart skipped a beat, her school's Champion was about to be called out, Evie looked down at her pupils, who all looked nervous, excited and worried all at the same time. Evie wondered who it would be, there was only one way to find out.

"Cameron Kingsley." Evie took a sigh of relieve, realising that the Goblet had made a great chose, Cameron was perfect for the role of Durmstrang Champion and overall TriWizard Champion. Evie joined in with the applause.

A few minutes later the other Champions had been chosen. All the Champions made their way up to the stage, Evie caught a glance of Cameron and gave him an approving nod, not showing any emotion in front of everyone.

Evie realised how close Cameron was to becoming TriWizard Champion, he was one of the best students back home and he was up against two girls. Evie knew not to discrimate against girls as she knew all about how hard it was to be a girl in a mans' world, but she didn't hold much hope for these two.

Cameron waited for the names to be announce. His hands gripped the table so hard that his knuckles turned white. He really wanted to be chosen. The room grew quiet and a piece of parchment came out of the fire. He heard his name called. He grinned crookedly. He heard his sister yelling at the top of her lungs. Didn't that girl ever give it a rest? He listened as the other two names were reveiled.

Cam was amused that he was the only boy in the competition. He had to win this tournament. He could not lose to girls! He got up and walked to where the Headmasters were as he was asked to. He turned and waved out to the crowd. Cameron grinned soaking in the glory as he was told.

Sakura clapped for the Durmstrang student as his name was called out but was on tender hooks when it was their turn. As disappointed as she was, she was also thrilled for Nina. She stood to cheer for her knowing that her parents and grandfather would be over the moon that she hadn't been chosen. Continuing to cheer for her friend as she joined the other champion, she listened to who the HNZ champion might be. She hadn't met that particular girl yet but she clapped loudly for her, she had been sitting at the Gryffindor table with her new friends. She turned with the others to chat amongst themselves this was great for their school and for Nina. Hufflepuff had another champion. Would Nina like Cedric become the winner of the tournament? Sakura hoped so but also hoped a similar fate didn't wait for her.

Nina sat with Asher and Alex at the Gryffindor table happily then when she heard about the anoucement Nina stopped in the middle of her sentence and became silent. Nina heard that Caysi's boyfriend was called and Nina clapped for him. Then when it was HS turn Nina leaned in slightly blocking both Asher and Alex's view. When her name was called Nina's heart almost stopped and she froze not able to do anything, she heard the cheering from the other students and thought, Stand up you idiot, you were called you are the Hogwarts Scotland Champion! Nina stood up slowly and stood beside Cameron awkwardly. Nina looked over at the boy, he was taller than she was and Nina smiled brightly at him and waited for the other champion to be called. Nina clapped along with the others as a girl named "Hilary Grace" was called up, and Nina smiled, she hadn't met this girl yet but knew that she would get to know her, and fast. Nina looked over to Alex and stared into his eyes for a while hoping he would be happy for her or something. She smiled asking for approval then she looked over at Asher and smiled brightly, she knew Asher would understand and then looked over to Sakura and Isabella knowing they would be happy for her but also knowing that Sakura was thinking of her dead uncle, Cedric. Nina smiled and waited for the clapping to finish, so she could go back to the table.

ALex had been talking just like normal whe the headmaster asked for silence. he shut it up and listened almsot immeadiatley, anxious to find out who it would be though his hopes weren't ven on the scale in positives. He listened as the Drumstrang student was announced and Alex clapped ludly though he had no idea hwo it was. He listened witing for their school and wa surprised it was Nina. he didn't mind never the less and whistled, grinning and clapping loudly in the direction of Nina. He gave her the thumbs up and continued clapping. He listened as the HNZ champion was annouced and cheer loudly but not as loudly as he just had for her as well. He felt kind of sorry for Camaron now though. HE was the only boy in the compotition this time. Alex clapped and cheered with everyone else for them, whistling at times as well.

Hilary came into the great hall nervous for what would happen. She sat down at the Gryffindor table almost ready to be dissapointed. SHe could feel the thickness of the air around her, so when Headmistress Barker said that it was time to select the champions they were all quiet very quickly.

The first parchement that popped out announced Cameron Kingsley, Kiera's brother as the Durmstrang champion. Hilary clapped and cheered along with her friend as she had met him one summer. When the Hogwarts Scotland champion was announced Hilary clapped politely for her. Although she had never met her she seemed nice enough.

Then the hall became extremly tense, and she knew that it was time for the announcement of their champion to be made. As the headmistress took the parchement Hilary looked down and the table, it wouldn't be her... she wasn't worthy enough. The Hogwarts New Zealand champion would be... her? She looked up at the Headmistress in disbelief as people all over the hall clapped and cheered loudly. Those nearest to her were clapping her on the back and she was literally going deaf. It started to hit her, she had been chosen!! Against all of the other possibilities, she had been chosen....

With the other two champions she went up to the stage and joined the headmistress. She looked up into the headmistresses eyes and whether it was just in her excitement or what she saw her smile right at her. Standing with the other two she looked back down at the rest of her school and their guests. For a moment in time she felt that nothing had ever felt this good before, infact she just wasn't sure that everything had EVER felt this good before.

Once the noise died down a little the headmistress announced that their first task would begin on Monday. It was whispered to them that they would receive a piece of parchement that would be the start of the task. As she turned away from the headmistress to look at the crowd once again suddenly the stage was full of her friends, classmates and even some random people she didn't know congratulating her.

And finally it hit her in full swing. She was THE HNZ champion!! With a smile she allowed herself to be engulfed by the crowd.

Cecily clapped and cheered for the other schools champions. It would be a hard and challenging year for them. Then when Hilary Grace's name was called she gasped, her hair flinging over her shoulder to see the girl's reaction. She was incredibly happy for her and knew she'd do a good job. But there was a part of her that worried too. The stories of the other tournaments... She didn't want anything to happen to the WPC leader. She clapped with their school and raised her goblet to her.

Asher sat in the Great Hall and like most of the other students refused to eat. After what seemed like years, Professor Baker stood and announced that the time for champion selection was upon them. The butterflies in Asher's stomack turned into elephants stampeding around. The Goblet began spouting blue flames and the first piece of parchment flew into the air holding the name of the Durmstrang champion. Asher clapped lightly. Almost instantly, the next piece of parchment flew into the air "For Hogwarts Scotland.....Nina Patrokov!" Asher's head snapped in Nina's direction and a bright smile spread across her face. She began to clap rapidly. "Nina!! It's you!!" she cheered. Asher was so happy that Nina had made it and she deperately wanted her to be safe. But Asher also felt a huge wave of relief that Noah's safety was assured. I can't believe how selfish I am...Noah trully wanted this and all I care about is that since he didn't make it he'll be safe...Selfish selfish selfish!!!

Asher looked over at Noah and gave him a reassuring smile. "It's ok...we'll do other things to honor Slytherin..." she whispered kindly.

Bruin became silent like those around him the moment Headmistress Barker approached the Goblet of Fire to reveal the Three Champions. He listened quietly and applauded politely as first the Durmstrang and then the Hogwarts Scotland Champions were revealed, noticing Kiera's enthusiastic response for her brother and the general support that the HS Champion received from those around her.

When it was time for the HNZ Champion to be revealed, Bruin couldn't help but feel his hopes rise. He had done everything humanly possible to make himself into the best wizard that he could be and was proud of his accomplishments so far, the majority of them stemming from his insanely competitive nature. He would accept the decision of the Goblet without complaint, but it didn't mean that he would have to like it.

Deep down, Bruin knew that HNZ was full of worthy candidates and that they would be in good shape no matter whose name emerged, but deeper down he felt a crushing blow when it was Hilary's name that fell smoothly off Headmistress Barker's lips. Bruin put on a brave face and cheered sincerely for Hilary as she took her spot on stage, but when the rest of the group surged forward Bruin found himself wanting to be alone. He rose from the bench and quietly slipped out of the Great Hall, needing a walk and some fresh air to ease the disappointment that he was feeling.

As Bruin walked down the stone corridor leading out towards the grounds he found himself thinking about what his latest Arithmancy lesson had revelaed about him. Bruin had an insatiable desire to be the best and that this could make him somewhat self-centered at times, not something that he wanted to admit but that was revealing itself at this particular point in time. His work had also indicated that while he could be an excellent friend, that he could also find happiness in being alone. Bruin knew that he would always remain a friend that Hilary could count on, but for now he wanted to be alone. He hoped that happiness might follow.

Katalina anxiously awaited the announcement of the Tri-Wizard champions. She sat turned to the stage while the headmistress grabbed the pieces of paper that were emitted from the Goblet of Fire. She cheered as the Durmstrung and Hogwarts Scotland champion were chosen. Then the headmistress announced that the champion for there school would be Hilary Grace. Kat stood and cheered for her house mate and team mate. Since Kat couldn't get to her friend she simply gave her the thumbs up and mouthed, "Good job!" Out of the corner of her eye, Kat saw Bruin get up and walk out of the Great Hall. She thought about getting up and following him to see if he wanted to talk, but then decided against it. Boys didn't seem to be as willing to discuss things that were bothering them as girls did. She thought on it for a moment more and decided that she'd catch up with him back in the common room sometime.

Zoe sat in the Great Hall impatiently for Headmistress Barker to announce the Champions. Her knees were shaking, and her heart was thudding.

She listened carefully, as she announced who the Durmstrang champion was. Kingsley, Kiera's brother? She thought to herself, as she clapped politely. She once again, clapped politely for the Hogwarts Scotland champion, someone she hadn't heard of.

When the Headmistress was about to announce the Hogwarts New Zealand champion, the Great Hall grew quiet. Zoe's heart was thudding like crazy. She held her breath, and closed her eyes.

"Hilary Grace" She heard headmistress Barker announce. Zoe did not move. She slowly exhaled the breath she had held, and slowly opened her eyes. She didn't clap her hands, she merely began to pick at her food, as though nothing important had been announced.

She had taught herself to control her anger, though it never got as bad as it could get, and right now she was keeping her emotions in, by temporarily ignoring the situation.

Katerina stared blankly at her hands, waiting impatiently for the announcement of the three Champions. Come on, she thought, frustrated. You can not keep us waiting like this. I must know. She bit her lip as other thoughts entered her mind. What if I am not made Champion? she worried. Father will be most displeased. But what if I am? I could die doing this. I do not think I am quite ready to die. I really hope they don't choose Nicolae. Then I will probably jump in to the lake or something. He can not be Champion.

Finally, the announcements were made. "About time," Katerina muttered under her breath. And the Durmstrang champion was...Cameron Kingsley. He was a 5th year, but Katerina barely knew him. She applauded politely, keeping a look of apathy - for Katerina wasn't even sure whether to be disappointed or relieved. Nina, who Katerina had met in the garden, was Hogwarts Scotland champion, and a girl called Hilary from Hogwarts New Zealand. All I can say is good luck to them, she thought. I hope those girls are tougher than they appear to be. She let her mind turn over to how she might break the news to her father. He would not be pleased that an American boy had been picked as Durmstrang champion over an Ivanov.

Maddiie was sitting listening to what Headmistress Alicia had to say, she didnt know that the names will be called to soon. But at this point she didnt mind, when she heard all the names of the Three champions. She stood up clapping for Hilary"Yay Hilary Wooot." she almost shouted on the top of her lungs. Truthfully she wouldn't have been ready to such task, she would probably have collasped if they called her name. She was happy for Hilkary and hoped that she would win HNz the triwizard trophy.

Cyndi walked into the banquet with butterflies in her stomach. She so badly wanted to be the one who was chosen to represent HNZ. Cyndi listened as Professor Barker began to announce the champions. Cyndi politely clapped for the other champions but she was too anxious to really pay any attention to that.

When Professor Barker announced that Hilary had been chosen as the champion for their school, Cyndi's first reaction was to be upset. She had been hoping that she would get chosen. She so badly wanted to be the champion and represent the school. Cyndi was really happy for Hilary though. She knew that Hilary had been having a rough time lately and now she would have the chance to shine. Cyndi stood up with the rest of the Gryffindors and loudly cheered for Hilary.

After the announcement, Cyndi decided to leave. She didn't want anyone to tell her sorry or give her any pity for not being chosen. She just wanted to be alone. Cyndi hoped that Hilary wouldn't be offended that she left so early.

Laura was pleasantly excited. The champions were being selected tonight, and she was really looking forwards to it.

She clapped loudly for the Durmstrang and HS champion. But when the HNZ champion was called out...

As Laura heard Professor Barker called out Hilary's name, she cheered until she was hoarse. A Gryffindor, HNZ champion!!! How cool was that?!

Estrella arrived in the Great Hall promptly, quite eager to find out who had been selected for champions for the three schools. She had put much faith in the Goblet of Fire, to pick someone who was completely equipped for this tournament and had more than a fair chance of bringing HNZ it's rightful trophy.

She listened to the Durmstrang and Hogwarts Scotland selections- she couldn't make judgements there as she didn't know either of the people. However, when Hogwarts New Zealand's champion was announced, she was hard pressed not to make her disappointment clear. A fourth year? She admitted that she didn't know Hilary that well but she just didn't strike Estrella as Triwizard material. She had been fully expecting someone like Bruin to be selected, who had done more than his share for the school and who had brought his house many different trophies, something that Estrella both envied and admired.

Clapping politely, her lips pulled into a frown, she left the Great Hall with a rather heavy heart. A little bit of her had hoped that she would be selected, but that was not to be. She just hoped to Merlin that Hilary would be able to bring forth what Hogwarts New Zealand needed to win.

Lily sat and patiently waited for the Goblet to be ready to fire out the names of the champions. She had high hopes that she would be picked, or at least one of her fellow prefects. Bruin and Estrella both looked to be really good candidates. She would have thought about Sophia being in the running, but she had not returned to school. Lily had yet to hear why, but she figured that something important had happened.

Picking at the food in front of her, Lily listened as the names were announced one by one. She was shocked that Kiera's brother was named champion for Durmstrang, but hoped that he would do well. Then there was Nina, who she had met before in the garden. She was really happy for her. Nina seemed really nice and was alot of fun. Then came time for their own school to be announced. Lily held her breath. She was stunned when Hilary was announced. Her former friend was going to be champion? Really? Lily was confused. She had figured it would be someone from the prefects ranks that would be named, at least. She sat still, clapping politely. She noticed that Bruin left the hall, a look on his face mirroring the way she felt. I guess he is not excited about the choice either. She stood up and made her way out with the rest of the Ravenclaws. It was going to be yet another year that the Gryffindors had something up on them, and as she walked, she decided to not let it get to her. She would not root for anyone in the tournament, but would concentrate instead on getting a great team for quidditch and winning the house cup by contributing as many points as possible.

Hollie dashed to the Great Hall long before necessary, so as to secure a good seat. She saw Laura almost instantly; weaving her way through the throng of students, she sat down next to her friend.
"Hey, isn't this exciting!" she whispered, happily. Oh I do hope it's someone worthy for HNZ! It would be awful if it was someone... like those slytherins Belle came across! The thought raced through her mind again and again.

The Durmstrang and HS champions were announced, and Hollie clapped politely for each one, wondering who they were and what their personality was, and why they'd been chosen. What was their level of magic? She was yet to find out.

The hall went quiet with immense tension as each student's eye focused on the piece of parchment in the Headmistress's hand. Eyeing it nervously, Hollie felt her nerves mount. And she had nothing to worry about! Slowly, the Headmistress revelaed who it was.... Hilary Grace! That lovely 4th Year Hollie had spoken to in the library previously! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! she squealed, excitedly, her quiet voice drowned out by the roar of the crowd. Then she stood up, and yelled herself hoarse for Hilary along with the other Gryffindors.
Yes! she thought, punching the air. A Gryffindor Champion! Immense!

Kate ran into the great hall and smiled at all the students waiting there. She took her place at the Hufflepuff table and listened anxiously as Professor Barker did her bit.
For Durmstrang......Cameron Kingsley! Kate clapped along with the rest of the people in the Hall.
For Hogwarts Scotland.....Nina Patrokov! She clapped again. There was a hush that followed and she could feel the tension in all the students at Hogwarts New Zealand. "Our Hogwarts New Zealand Champion is.....Hilary Grace!!" Kate went mad and stood up and clapped loudly as the Hall erupted in cheering.

"If I could please have each of the champions come forth and join me on the stage." She smiled as the three students did so. She gestured her arm out and said, "Another round of applause for our TriWizard Champions." She waited while the Hall erupted in sound and then she clapped with them. Alicia announced.

"Champions, you may now soak in the attention. Your first task will begin on Monday." She smiled at them, then whispered "You will recieve a piece of parchment. This will be the start of the task." Alicia comented. Kate clapped again, then returned to her seat as the stage was rushed with people hoping to congratulate their champions.
Kate didn't rush up but stayed behind and when all the massive crowds had gone she wandered up and spoke to the Champions. "Well done! Good luck and congratulations!" She said quietly to the older students but loud enough for them to hear. She then picked up her stuff and slowly left the hall still in awe of all the older people there.

Angelica got inside of the great hall for the most awaited of all, the champions, she doesn't expect great at all. Angelica just thank this as a opportunity that she took place here. Once inside of the great hall she sat at the durmstrang table and looked at the headmistress of the HNZ, the first champion was going to be announce and this is her fellow schoolmate Cameron Kingsley. she smiled at the name and looked at Cameron, thank god his the one. she thought and another name was said and this time is the HS champion and her name is Nina Patrokov, Angelica Clap her hands and sigh.

the Last one was called and this is from the HNZ champion, Hilary Grace. The name was beautiful as the holder of it is pretty. the champion went on the front and headmistress Barker said a few word and the food burst nowhere, angelica took a mashed potato and some chicken, they eat happily as the champions was being taken in the trophy room.

Aurora sat on the edge of her bench, waiting eagerly to know who would be choosen from Hogwarts New Zealand. She wanted it to be someone from Ravenclaw. She hoped it would be Esterella because she was the kind of person that can someone would expect form.
She clapped as the Champions from the other schools were chosen. Then she was holding her breath. When Headmisstress Barker said a name that wasnt know by Aurora she clapped slowly. She didn't expect it to a fourth year when so many able fifth year had applied.
