The young Slytherin wasn't in the mood to walk and drag herself to the Slytherin table. She was groggy and sleepy when she walked out of the common room. She only slept for 6 hours since she stayed up for the essay that was for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Well, it needs to be worth it since she worked extra hard on that essay about the three Unforgivable Curses. The Dungeons were just below the castle so Artemis needed to use the staircase to reach the floor leading to the Great Hall. Artemis rubbed her eyes because of the blinding light that were passing through the windows on the upper part of the wall. "Damn the sun," Artemis cursed silently. It was a useless complain, but still, she wanted to mutter it. The corridors were filled with students from different houses just like Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. Nowadays, Artemis noticed that most of the people she passes by are in the Hufflepuff house. They value loyalty to one another and they are the most friendliest house in Hogwarts. Every time she enters the Great Hall, their house is the most cheerful and awake.
Hello's and good mornings were greeted on the other table. Obviously, from the Hufflepuffs. The Slytherins were quiet in their table and some were just reading the Daily Prophet lazily and quietly among themselves. Nothing astonishing was happening currently in the Wizarding World except for the recent killings in the muggle world which were usual for her all the time. Happens always, Artemis thought. She sat down and layed her head on her hand with her elbow on the table. No one minded her anyways, the others were doing it themselves so why bother to stop? Artemis took a sip from her goblet which was filled with pumpkin juice. The delicious liquid filled her empty stomach in just three gulps. Indeed, she was that thirsty. She sighed when she put her goblet down and snatched a copy of the Daily Prophet from the other side. She read it with a bored expression on her pale features since nothing was interesting, really.
The watch on her wrist told her that she had been staying there for only eight minutes. Aren't there any people who were there that could she talk to? Probably a conversation with the lazy morning as the topic, Artemis thought bitterly.
