The young Slytherin wasn't in the mood to walk and drag herself to the Slytherin table. She was groggy and sleepy when she walked out of the common room. She only slept for 6 hours since she stayed up for the essay that was for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Well, it needs to be worth it since she worked extra hard on that essay about the three Unforgivable Curses. The Dungeons were just below the castle so Artemis needed to use the staircase to reach the floor leading to the Great Hall. Artemis rubbed her eyes because of the blinding light that were passing through the windows on the upper part of the wall. "Damn the sun," Artemis cursed silently. It was a useless complain, but still, she wanted to mutter it. The corridors were filled with students from different houses just like Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. Nowadays, Artemis noticed that most of the people she passes by are in the Hufflepuff house. They value loyalty to one another and they are the most friendliest house in Hogwarts. Every time she enters the Great Hall, their house is the most cheerful and awake.

Hello's and good mornings were greeted on the other table. Obviously, from the Hufflepuffs. The Slytherins were quiet in their table and some were just reading the Daily Prophet lazily and quietly among themselves. Nothing astonishing was happening currently in the Wizarding World except for the recent killings in the muggle world which were usual for her all the time. Happens always, Artemis thought. She sat down and layed her head on her hand with her elbow on the table. No one minded her anyways, the others were doing it themselves so why bother to stop? Artemis took a sip from her goblet which was filled with pumpkin juice. The delicious liquid filled her empty stomach in just three gulps. Indeed, she was that thirsty. She sighed when she put her goblet down and snatched a copy of the Daily Prophet from the other side. She read it with a bored expression on her pale features since nothing was interesting, really.

The watch on her wrist told her that she had been staying there for only eight minutes. Aren't there any people who were there that could she talk to? Probably a conversation with the lazy morning as the topic, Artemis thought bitterly.

It as just another school morning for Arielle Lemaire, she woke up, brushed her sunshine blonde hair, making her perfect curls fall into their usual place, framing her pale face while cracks on sunlight emerged into her dorm. It was evident Arielle was a perfectionist when it came to her looks, it had always been evident. The twelve year old's house mates would shoot her envious glances from across the Slytherin common room most days, either because of the blonde's immense wealth, or how effortless her appearance seemed to be, no matter how far from effortless it was most of the time. The second year made a lot of an effort into looking the way she did, others would judge her on it too, calling her less than appropriate names. Yes, Arielle did focus more on her looks and fashion sense more than a normal twelve year old should, but at least she didn't wear make-up or dress like an adult. It had the definite possibility of ruining the young girls self-esteem, the names they called her, however she knew all too well they were only jealous of her, they were only trying to deplete Arielle's self-esteem to heighten theirs, which to the blonde, was unspeakably selfish.

The second year left her dorm, walking with a casual spring to her step, the sound of her delicate footsteps echoing in the dungeons. Arielle liked where her common room was situated, it suited her house's image well, as the blonde knew, among most other wizards and witches, that there was always at least somebody indescribably evil in her house. It was a stereotype of Slytherin, but it was a stereotype for a reason, an obvious one at that. The second year approached the great hall for breakfast, and walked in as casually as she had left her common room. Breakfast at Hogwarts New Zealand was an amusing time of day for Arielle; she thought it was funny how many students weren't morning people like she was. The twelve year old just didn't feel tired often; the amount of beauty sleep she obtained each night enabled the young witch to wake up bright and early every morning, without so much as a single complaint.

The Slytherin table had its usual assortment of students, some reading the paper, some staring off into the distance, organising their tired thoughts, while trying to consume breakfast. Arielle wasn't one of those people; she sat down next to a blonde girl, who was reading the Daily Prophet. At first, the second year didn't take much notice of her, and reached over to a bowl of fruit to grab herself an orange. A good source of vitamin c would be a good start to Arielle's day; it would be all she was having for breakfast, that and maybe a berry smoothie if she thought she needed it. The French girl made sure to start off her day with some fruit, it woke up her metabolism and kept her mind working enough to focus on her school work and classes. "Good morning." Arielle said, a cheerful tone gracing her words, her accent sounding as obvious as usual. She wouldn't usually just talk to somebody she didn't know, especially not in a nice way, but the Slytherin just wanted to make some polite breakfast conversation that morning, as opposed to keeping up her usual silent exterior.

Cheerful would describe the other people lounging around the Great Hall. More hellos and g'mornings echoed louder around the room every minute. The more seconds passed by, the more people got up from bed and headed to the Great Hall. The room would have its old usual noise in a few hours time. People gossiping in the corners, whispering, silently fighting would be present later. Artemis watched them at the corner of her eye while pretending to read the newspaper which had nothing incredible and interesting. Most of the time, the news were just like the old previous ones. They weren't just uninteresting. They were highly lame. But up to now, it seems like the Daily Prophet is still making galleons out of their lame articles produced all the time which were actually rubbish to Artemis. Recent killings, blah blah blah. Those were the headlines that could be found in the newspaper before when the war was ongoing with the dark mark moving repeatedly. Over and over again.

Another flush of the liquid swept through Artemis' digestive system while reading. It was delicious and highly appreciated by her. The elves did this, but she wasn't sure about it though. The Hogwarts elves did almost all the chores in Hogwarts like cooking, cleaning the dorms, cutting the grass and other stuff. Artemis felt no pity for them since that is their job. It wasn't that she was a heartless person just like some purebloods but she was just used to see those creatures working hard for their master in order to content them and satisfy their master's request. People [just like a lot of muggleborns] pity these creatures. They felt sorry for them about working hard and getting punished easily. Enough of thinking about them, Artemis irritatingly thought. It was no use wondering about them when they couldn't even do anything to improve your mood.

The newspaper was boring her, so she almost placed on the table, lazily. Which meant of course, slowly. But before getting the rubbish out of her sight, another Slytherin sat by her looking cheerful about the morning's conditions. Artemis couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when she casually greeted her. She was wearing a really cute outfit that was a bit bright to fit Artemis' mood. She also had a smile on her face which made the first year more irritated in a way. Lastly, the girl had an obvious accent. Artemis could not decide quickly since she wasn't a huge fan of accents in other places. Artemis set the paper down and greeted her. But not exactly the same way as the girl said it. "G'morning. Why so formal?" Artemis said, while eyeing her dress or whatever it was, lazily.

It was safe to say that the great hall was less of a bustle in the morning than in the evening during dinner, the chatting between students was always more energetic at the end of the day, as every single young witch or wizard was exclaiming to their group of friends of events that occurred during the daytime. In the morning, the atmosphere was also reasonably energetic, but there was a hint of lassitude to everything, which somewhat bored the twelve year old. It was unmistakable that Arielle wasn't one of those students that chatted non-stop about her day; the second year could go through dinner happily without any sort of social interaction with somebody else. She was usually drowning in her thoughts anyway, thinking about what she could do to better herself, to make her designs better, to improve her grades, what she could do differently with her sense of style the next day. Her thoughts were endless, they prodded at her rationality at times, luckily for Arielle, she was able to keep her head straight and not lose herself in her imperfections. Her mind wasn't unreasonable to the point where the young blonde couldn't distract herself from her many thoughts if need be.

The Slytherin started to peel the orange she would be having for breakfast that morning, being careful so it wouldn't mess up her newly painted nails. Ruining the shiny black nail polish she had concentrated on applying not half an hour ago was not something the second year planned to do. She could easily return to her dorm and re apply it if she needed to, but Arielle would most likely be too busy with school to have enough time to complete that task, which was unlike her. Usually, Arielle wouldn't have hesitated in fixing something wrong with her appearance as soon as she noticed the flaw, the reason for this slight change in the twelve year old's actions could have very well been her growing maturity, or just her common sense kicking in. "Formal? I wear clothes like these all the time." Replied the blonde, her dress wasn't one to wear on a fancy occasion, it was made of silk, but it didn't mean it wasn't supposed to be worn casually. Arielle didn't take the other girl's comment as an insult; she merely assumed the girl didn't know what she was talking about, judging by her choice of clothing.

The twelve year old gave up on peeling her orange, and placed it on the table in front of her, with a slight frown gracing her features. Arielle would have to pick a different kind of fruit, one that wouldn't force her to peel it. Sure, there could have been a spell for that, but the Slytherin couldn't be bothered. So instead, Arielle reached over to the same fruit bowl she had a few moments earlier and took an apple as a replacement to her orange. "I'm Arielle, and I'm a second year." Said the French girl before taking the first bite of her crispy apple, smiling slightly as she chewed her food. "What about you?" The blonde asked, after finishing her first mouthful of fruit. It was obvious Arielle liked eating fruit, and it was obvious why she liked it so much too. It was just a pity that some of the other students couldn't eat as healthy as she did, or as little for that matter. Arielle had always found it repulsing to watch people eating, it grossed her out inexplicably. Luckily for the witch, she would avoid that possibility at most costs, all except when she was in the great hall, it was unavoidable then.

Ugh, the noise was already filling the room like water filling a small glass. The noise bothered Artemis a lot nowadays. Excuse her for being cranky. She wasn't a morning person after all. The Slytherin didn't like waking up and ending her great dreams. Dreams were like an adventure for her. A great one, by the way. Just like running around your forbidden fantasy secretly. The perspective that you saw on Artemis seemed that she was reading the newspaper quietly and silently. She looked interested, but again, the Daily Prophet was turning into rubbish nowadays. Truth was that she was just leading her eyes into the headlines of each page. Scanning would not be the word for it. More like, recklessly reading. Enough of reading this, Artemis bitterly thought for the second time. It's complete trash.

French. The accent seemed french in a way. Artemis put down the paper just beside her for the other Slytherins down to read it while listening to the girl speak. Her accent was heavy enough for Artemis to recognize. French people's accent were a little hard to understand in Artemis's condition. The accent caused their words to be a bit vague. But still, she tried understanding it under the circumstances. Artemis heard the reply of the girl who's words flowed with a heavy ooze of her french accent.
"That is just unbelievably bright for a color." Artemis simply commented. It wasn't an insult for the girl but it was just a statement of truthfulness. The color was a bit of yellow with a design of printed flowers. Was that flowers? Artemis couldn't decide because her heavy eyelids. It was undeniable that the girl looked very pretty that morning. While Artemis looked like she just rolled out from bed, brushed her teeth and did a little combing then headed to the great hall. Artemis stopped eyeing the girl's outfit and resumed drinking the liquid in her goblet.

An orange? Quitter. Artemis watched the girl put the orange back with perfect manicured black nails into the fruit basket with grace while tipping the goblet into her mouth. Why would she ever put back an easy to peel orange? With a few scratches and strength, the orange would be vulnerable and easy to eat already. The pumpkin juice swished again through her system in a second. The goblet was almost empty and Artemis put it down the table. The girl's heavy accented voice spoke again out of nowhere. Artemis just smiled and nodded her head a bit to show that she heard the girl.
"Pleasure meeting you." Artemis drawled lazily. She got her goblet and moved it like a what people do to a glass of champagne. She moved it slowly and expertly while replying. "Artemis Jackson. First year." It's been a while since she has done it. She savored the moment and smirked casually while moving the goblet a bit faster which looked a bit weird to others watching. If ever people were watching her...

Of course an apple was a good choice for a decent breakfast, it was a god source, of whatever apples contained, which in fact the blonde wasn't quite sure what apples did contain, they were fruit though, and any kind of fruit was good fruit, right? Arielle put her apple down on the Slytherin table, one bite was just enough for the time being, she had not more intention to eat, she wasn't even hungry, she had only eaten anything because she knew it was the healthy thing to do. The second year wanted to do her mother proud, and become a successful model without hurting herself in the process, which clearly meant she had to maintain a healthy lifestyle. "You seem dull. Maybe that's why it looks so bright." Replied the twelve year old, she didn't mean what she said in a harsh way at all, no matter how harsh her softly spoken words did sound as they rung in her ears. The Slytherin was rather judgemental towards others, especially for the way they dress, and it was a different thing for Arielle, how she didn't focus on the other girl's looks one but until her dress was mentioned. It was all rather ironic really; dressing brightly was nothing Arielle was ashamed of, as she had chosen to wear something bright in the first place. That, and because she felt like her day was going to be a good one.

This first year, named Artemis Jackson, seemed rather arrogant to the French girl. Of course she was judging this by what Artemis was doing with the goblet she had now put down the table. It was without a doubt the blonde felt social that day, which was the reason why she had made a single effort to talk to Artemis in the first place, so ending the conversation before it barely even started was an idea Arielle ignored, as soon as it started to bore its way into her skull. The second year nodded as Artemis spoke, a polite acknowledgement to show the other Slytherin she was listening. Which was unsightly foreign to Arielle, she had spent most her time at Hogwarts New Zealand not saying much to anybody really, to the extent she had gotten an owl to her father about how she was towards other students, which had been the reason the blonde had been acting noticeably more social in her second year. "That's an interesting name you have, I like it." Arielle uttered, while keeping the same pleasant exterior she had maintained throughout the day so far, which in truth wasn't very long, but at least she was trying to make a good impression, conflicting to how the Slytherin would usually act to others. The judgemental side of Arielle's personality hadn't made itself too evident just yet, and with more luck, it might not show itself at all that morning.

It was like a hurricane inside Artemis' brain while talking to the girl. The words that came out from her mouth weren't from her own consciousness. Her actions weren't on purpose, honestly! Artemis tried recalling the memories that just happened last night in the castle. There were a lot, of course. Reading a book about Quidditch, doing her essay on a certain subject, socializing with a certain girl she could not remember what her name was, eating dinner which was not exactly her taste, bumping into someone she didn't know a bit and other stuff. Out of a hundred actions she had done, she could only remember a quarter of it. Yes, a quarter of it! There was like a huge pack of ice freezing her brain cells to perform the thinking processes. It was fogging her brain that moment which caused her to be sleepy and groggy. It's part of not being a morning person, Artemis reassured herself. In thirty minutes, it will be gone.

Artemis didn't take the girl's response as an insult. In fact, she didn't sense any sarcasm or hostility in the sentence. It was just a statement which had nothing to be sensitive about. The dress had a pretty color and had something on it that made it look cheerful to the eye. Artemis squinted to take the looks of the attire more into her sense of sight to give a proper reply.
"Maybe. It looks good on you though" Artemis complimented for the first time that day. Artemis surveyed the girl more for a second and smiled a bit, to give her a reassurance that she wasn't kidding at all. The girl is probably to conscious about style and fashion at almost all times. Just seeing her attire and her comments gave Artemis that feeling. Was she vain? Probably. But don't judge a book by its cover.

Names weren't really a big deal for Artemis ever since she was a kid. It was just a name. Names are there to identify a person. When the Slytherin heard that her name seemed interesting, her lips couldn't help but tug it upwards to form a sweet smile. Artemis did this not for the girl to think that she was trying to befriend her from all the comments that seemed harsh. She did it since it was like a joke. Surely, Artemis wasn't a name that you could be proud of. Well, that's what at least she thinks. Artemis returned the polite response with a shrug,
"I don't really find my name a unique one." Artemis said while putting the goblet down to talk friendlier. "But thank you, anyways." She chuckled softly and femininely. Seems like the good mood was getting in her nerves, thank Merlin.

The second year's decision to make a change in her self-absorbed routine and talk to another person was a somewhat beneficial choice on Arielle's part, so far at least. In fact, the girl's choice in everything that day seemed to turn out good, maybe her optimism was finally starting to pay off. It was known the blonde didn't talk to other students very often, if she talked to them at all for that matter, but that had never meant Arielle was negative, depressed or anything pushed into that cramped social category. The Slytherin had a positive outlook on life, she knew where she wanted to be, and she was going to do what she needed to so she could reach her goal, nothing was going to stop the ambitious witch from getting everything she craved and wanted. Which had been the reason for Arielle to become antisocial in the first place, the blonde had been so bombarded with making her designs turn out the way she envisioned them, mixed with having a hands on approach towards fashion and actually making a garment or two. The only thing that Arielle thought didn't benefit her work was that she hadn't shown anybody the things that had been consuming her time for the past few years. Time that should be spent making the effort to build relationships with her peers according to her father, he wasn't a strict man, but he knew what was best for his daughter.

Putting her thoughts aside, Arielle picked up her apple and took another bite, only a small mouthful to tide her over until she craved another one. Eating slowly was apparently good for you, so Arielle ate slowly, just in case it could assist her in the healthy lifestyle she worked so hard in upholding. The second year was quite mature for her youthful age of twelve, mostly because she had her sights set on an industry the required maturity in order to succeed, the hustle and bustle of the fashion industry. "Thank you Artemis." Said the blonde, again, after finishing her second mouthful of food that day. Arielle was making sure to repeat Artemis' name in order for her to remember it properly, a habit of the young girl. Artemis' name did sound unique to the second year, mainly due to the plain and simple fact she hadn't heard it before in her short lifetime. The name sounded foreign as it rolled off her tongue, and it lead Arielle into a forlorn state of curiosity. "This name, Artemis, what does it mean?" Queried the blonde, before she took another bite of her apple, she already felt full. But she wasn't going to stop eating, two mouthfuls was certainly not enough for a growing girl to start her day. Arielle knew this, so she was going to finish her apple at least.

The cheerful noise was increasing when every each second ticked by. More cheers from the other house tables arose whenever a member came to sit with them and Artemis observed that very quickly. In all the four house tables, Slytherin could be considered as one of the quietest as for today. Artemis took a sneak peak on her watch while there was still a silence between her and the second year. Indeed, the time was ticking off but Artemis wasn't in a rush. She didn't want to leave the Great Hall for a lot of reasons. One is that her bum was already glued to the chair or bench or whatever it was called. Second is that she was extremely hungry and desperately wanted to grab the apple just in front of her. Third, Artemis wanted to sleep whether you didn't find it rude or not. Fourth, she wasn't in the mood to get up and drag herself again to the dungeons to change her attire. Finally, she wanted to learn more about the Slytherin right next to her.

The features of the blonde witch was very classy. This witch, Arielle, had a poised manner while eating. Artemis watched her pick the apple and chew it very slowly as if she was very conscious that something might get stuck between her teeth. Something was telling Artemis to see and compare the girl's gracious actions compared to her own lazy ones. The first year reflected for a short while. For instance, while eating, she didn't chew that slow whenever she did it. Artemis teeth crushed the food for about ten seconds then swallow. Another thing, her attire. Jeans and a simple blouse were Artemis' opinion for an attire for an ordinary day. But this girl was totally different. She wore a dress which looked pretty on her and very classy and pleasing to the eye. The two Slytherins were different. Entirely and completely different. Yet, they seem to grow a conversation. At least, nothing insulting has happened yet. That's what Artemis felt, but she didn't know if the other witch felt the same.

It was unusual for a french person to say your name with an accent. This was what Arielle exactly did to Artemis' name. She said it in another way Artemis wasn't able to hear for her whole existence. It was a bit odd and foreign to the tongue but it still sounded different. Different in a whole other way. Artemis smiled when the girl thanked her. For another time, Artemis looked at her dress and the printed design on it. It looked like it was made by the muggles but she couldn't judge immediately, of course. She might be wrong. She didn't even know the blood status of this girl!
"I don't really know if Artemis has a definition. But I was surely named after the Greek goddess, Artemis. The hunter and the maiden goddess. Do you know her?" Replied Artemis, confident that she stated the correct facts and opinions. In the old times, a group of muggles believed in the, "gods" and worshiped them. One of these gods is Artemis. She was a maiden goddess which means she pledged that she would never marry. The Slytherin considers her as the most beautiful even though they say that Aphrodite was the best, the most charming and most stunning.

The blonde twiddled her thumbs as Artemis spoke, she was a rather active person, and needed to do something all the time to keep her busy, and at that moment it just happened to be something as simple as twiddling her thumbs. It was only a minor distraction however, as the blonde's mind rested on the subject of Greek gods and goddesses. Arielle was interested in history, to the point where she had chosen Ancient runes as one of her subjects for her third year onward. She hadn't learnt enough about Greek Gods and goddesses to know exactly who the goddess Artemis was named after, but the other girl's explanation was enough to shed some light on the subject, and make leeway for Arielle to add in her two cents to the conversation. "I can't say I know of her, but my favourite is Athena." Said the twelve year old, she respected Athena's wisdom and courage, she was surely a good role model for Arielle, and a lot of other girls to be exact, Athena was a role model Arielle hoped was just like her mother was. She could never be completely sure, but the blonde like to think of her mother showing the same traits as Athena, she had remained optimistic of that possibility for as long as she could remember.

Before contemplating another question to ask her fellow Slytherin, the second year took a glance around each of her shoulders, the great hall was more occupied than minutes earlier, and Arielle knew it was going to become more occupied as the morning progressed. Hopefully, she would be able to avoid the large crowd of students, which would only happen if the blonde finished her food quickly enough. Arielle had no intention of speeding up her eating, even if it would enable her to have a moment or two of avoiding the rest of the school before her first class started. "What do you do in your spare time?" Quizzed the young girl, after moving her attention back to Artemis. It was a broad and simple question, as Arielle was trying to find some common ground between the two, so far the two blondes were very different, and had dissimilar perspectives on life, which could ultimately be a great thing for the two, or a bad thing. It was all up to how both girls looked at the situation, and how they perceived every word that had been exchanged within their short conversation that morning. So far, their conversation was going well according to Arielle, who wasn't quite sure if Artemis thought the same, if she didn’t, she could always leave, the French girl wouldn't care at all, the blonde would just be somewhat proud she tried to make a friend.

Greek Mythology. Its history was as interesting as always. It never failed to keep Artemis bored whenever she read these type of books. The gods and goddesses were the main thing about its unique past. A certain group of muggles before called the Greeks thought that the gods were realistic and believed in them. Many wishes were given to them by the people. They sacrificed a lot to them just to please the god or goddess they need help from. Artemis read a book saying that the Greeks believed that Zeus was the king of all gods. He was their master, the ruler and most of all, the most important in their existence. Zeus had two brothers named Hades and Poseidon and together, they were the main three gods that existed ever since the titans had fallen. Zeus' power is to control the sky and his great weapon is the lightning bolt. In the other hand, Poseidon took the seas and oceans. Legend says that he has his own palace in the depths of the sea. The Earth Shaker's weapon is his own trident that could cause the seas to be uncontrollable. Meanwhile, there's Hades, god of the dead. He lives in the Underworld where the souls are judged. Hades' was banished there by his own brothers.

From all the Greek goddesses and gods, Artemis was very fond of the moon goddess herself, Artemis. She was the hunter that the Slytherin admired very much. She was brave and strong yet mysterious in a beautiful way. Artemis once read that her eyes were just like the moon with its exact colors and light. The first year hasn't really tried archery but she sure will. Soon.
"Goddess of wisdom, eh? How come?" Artemis asked. Some people would like to have the gift of wisdom and Artemis was one of those people. She'd rather have the power to hunt and track down her enemies just like what the maiden goddess does. It would be nice if she had this, with the feeling you'd be able to grant revenge to those who are in debt.

Lounging around, lazing around were one of the things that Artemis did most of the time she was free. It was true anyways. She also enjoyed Quidditch and loitering around the castle whenever there weren't many people around the corridors. Artemis usually went to the Quidditch Pitch to enjoy the view or watch the teams practice for upcoming games if ever there will be.
"I read some books. In other words, I just laze around really." Artemis joked honestly. "Meaning, I just roam around the castle whenever I'm bored, which is most of the time." Artemis finished her reply with a satisfied sigh. The Slytherin took a green apple and munched quietly on it while thinking for a question to converse longer. "How 'bout you? I've never seen you in the common room ever since I took my first step in there." Artemis said recalling the past few days if ever she saw a blonde girl there just a year above her. Nothing came to her mind and she silently bit from the fruit while waiting for the other witch's response.

Arielle was sick of the growing roar of her fellow students, she did not show her irritation as easily as one might think, she blonde kept a calm facade, in order to keep her conversation with Artemis going, although there were other problems afoot. Arielle did not know what to say as an answer to Artemis' question. She could easily tell her fellow Slytherin why she liked Athena so much and the extent of how that particular Greek goddess resembled the idea she had developed in her head of what her mother was like, but coincidently, she had only just met the girl, and telling Artemis about her home life and how much she thought and wondered about her mother was not her intention. "She's a good role model, a really respectable woman, even if she is fictional." Replied the second year, it was a mediocre answer and was only half of what Arielle liked about Athena, but it would have to do for the time being, until another question was asked, or answered. Either way, Arielle distracted herself by eating more of her apple, the fruit which previously tasted sweet and refreshing in her mouth now tasted sour, it was unappealing to Arielle, and she didn't want to consume any more food if it continued to taste so foul. Arielle's irritated mind set was surely showing itself in other ways than just her exterior.

The French girl straightened her dress, which was previously messed up underneath the table, it was the small things Arielle liked about her appearance, as well as the more obvious things, but the smaller things tended to stand out more to the blonde, being the reason for her to fret about them so much. It was in a way, a sign of insecurity, a personality trait Arielle had never thought she had or ever would gain in her lifetime, but some things were always unavoidable. "I don't spend much time in the common room per say, I'm either in my dorm or roaming around the castle like you described." Said the blonde, as her eyes drifted away from the other witch and onto the unappealing apple she had effortlessly chosen to consume for breakfast that morning. Previously it was a good choice for her first meal of the day, but now it was obvious to Arielle, and most likely Artemis too, that eating was something Arielle just didn't feel like doing anymore. She had no way of explaining it one bit, because even she didn't know why her food was so disgusting to her. Arielle's arrogance lead her to ignore it, and make the decision to drink pumpkin juice out of a goblet placed in front of her, just like Artemis had been doing before.

Role models weren't really a big deal for the Slytherin. Most of the people that she has met have role models because they want to be just exactly like them or rather copy them. Their style, accent, posture and all the remaining details. Artemis herself didn't really have a role model too look upon while life goes on. If she did have one, it would be difficult to say who since she hasn't really met a person who could look up too. Even with her own mother, she had difficulty trying to see what could be the good that could get from her. Nowadays, Artemis grew to realize that she was much more fond of her father than her mother. If ever a role model was needed to be chosen for Artemis, it would be her father. He was the best from the limited choices to choose from. There were her parents, older cousins who you could consider "bums" and a few older friends who she really wasn't interested to talk to. Looking into Greek mythology made Artemis consider the moon goddess to be one of her selections. Except for the fact that she was and will be a maiden forever wasn't really what Artemis would want. "Is she also the goddess involved in battle strategy?" Ever since she has learned about the goddess, she was confused with her strengths. Some people say she contains wisdom and nothing more. While others reply that she contains both wisdom and could create immediate battle strategy.

Roaming around was one of Artemis' favorite hobbies. It entertained her whenever she was desperate to do something or socialize more with her fellow batch mates. It was something she did almost everyday. The last time she did it was yesterday in the North Tower with the sunset as a great view. The sky was marvelous and stunning to look at on that moment. If only Artemis had a photographic memory, she would be able to describe inch by inch from her point of view from the tower.
"So that's why." Artemis muttered. The Slytherin probably figured out that that topic was ending. So instead of getting up and leaving, she threw the apple in the air just a few inches from her own hand and caught it with ease. Artemis did this for about two times while casually thinking about their whole conversation. "So how about your name, Arielle, does it mean something?" Asked the blonde while continuing to throw the bitten apple just four inches from her own hand before catching it.
