Time for a new Minister of Magic!

As the title indicates, New Zealand will soon be in need of a new Minister of Magic!

Parts of the plot:
[ul][li] Seraphine's announcement of the end of her tenure as New Zealand's MoM</LI> [li]The search for new candidates [li]A spirited debate between the candidates [li]The election <LI>[li]The swearing in ceremony[/li][/ul]

If you are a Ministry official or a Daily Prophet journalist, you are encouraged to attend Seraphine's press conference.

Whether you believe it or not, your character is affected by this news, especially if they are a resident of New Zealand! Show us how by RPing your character's reaction! Bid Seraphine good riddance if you hated her, spread rumors about why she may have chosen now to leave office, encourage a friend or colleague to run, or have your character nominate themselves. There are many possibilities here!


Don't forget that your involvement in this plot will help us to determine how much time we should put into future site-wide plots.

It's time to get this plot going even more. The application for the Minister for Magic is ready!

Before you apply, please keep these things in mind:

1. Candidates must be at least over the age of majority (17 years of age) to run. However, older is recommended.
Students do not have permission to apply. Applications submitted by student accounts will not be received. (Literally. They will never show up.)

2. Candidates should be law-abiding citizens in New Zealand's wizarding society. (You can apply if not, and may even be accepted, but you will eventually be discovered by Aurors.)

3. Several candidates will be approved. If you apply, you should be devoted to having your character be an active participant in this process, meaning debates, RPs to discuss/promote your platform, etc.

4. Candidates should have some sort of political background.

In addition, please note that any users interested in having their character run are welcome and encouraged to apply.

And, don't forget that, although the candidates will be chosen by the admin, the admin will not be the ones who decide who ends up being minister. This decision will be made by the characters!
