Thinking.

Eleona heard him and turned bright red, but shrugged it off. After all she was in a relationship... She couldn't even if she wanted to. Out of the corner of her eyes she say Max, bright red. If it was two days ago, she would've flirted at this point... Of course she could hear her heart beat in her ears, but didn't want to freak him out. She noticed one of the strings was loose, and tightened it. With that she sighed and smiled at the boy.
 
Max had embarrassed himself big time he knew she heard him,and his heart for some reason was beating fast.He saw her tighten a string and smile at him and he looked at her and said"Nice job." He then finished it and decided to show her how well he could play so he started strumming the strings and music filled the room they were in.While playing Max hoped that his heart wouldn't be heard over the playing but he had a feeling it wouldn't, still though he hated the fact he said what he did out loud and stopped playing for a second without realizing it.
 
She sat and listened to him play and enjoyed the moment, then he stopped. Just like that. Eleona snapped out of it and turned to him, "H-hey are you ok?" She looked dead in his eyes hesitantly, then tried to stay as serious as she possibly could. This was something she had to be serious for... right?
 
Max looked in her eyes he could tell she was trying to be serious but for some reason he couldn't stop staring into her eyes, they were so beautiful and he felt his heart beating faster. After a second Max put down the guitar so that way it wouldn't break and kept looking into her eyes he wasn't sure but he wanted to make her happy and do everything he could to see her smile, then he found himself trying to think about how he was only eleven but for some reason that thought was pushed to the very back of his mind while he looked into her eyes.
 
Eleona looked into Max's eyes in sheer confusion and disbelief. Her heart moved faster and faster and faster. Pretty soon that was all she could hear. Why was she acting like this, especially when she wasn't supposed to. As if naturally, she inched closer and closer to him, but then at the last minute turned away. As much as she wanted to... She couldn't.
 
Max saw her inch close then turn away so he looked for some more things and without saying a word he took off the silver chain he had on and decided to put it together with some things that he amazingly made into a locket. He couldn't believe he made it but he took it and undid the chain and put it around her neck and then fastened it back. He then smiled and hoped she liked it because he had tried his best to put it together and hoped it would be like an apology he didn't mean to get in the way but for some reason he liked her a lot.
 
"...Max-" She mumbled as she felt the cold metal touch her neck. She observed it and gasped, "It's beautiful... You have a talent for making stuff you know." She chuckled a bit and decided to keep it, and maybe put a picture in it at some point, but that was for another day, "I mean it's a little big, but I promise I'll wear it!"
 
Max was happy to hear how she reacted to it"I hope it is okay? I know it was made from stuff around here but ill find a way to make it better if you want? But to tell the truth that is the first non-wood thing I have ever made." Max smiled then said"Do you honestly think i have talent? cause I haven't ever heard anyone say that before." Ever though he lived with his grandma Max wasn't lying he never heard anyone say that before no matter how hard he tried so it made him happy to hear it especially since he really liked this girl. As he waited to hear what she had to say,Max had a great idea.He learned how to make hair clips before and thought she would like one.So after a second he put together a new silver hair clip with a heart design and held it out to her hoping she would like it too.
 
Eleona saw the silver clip as it gleamed in what seemed to be a dark area. Looking at Max once more she took it and smiled. After that she gave him a hug, not too light, but not something that a taken person shouldn't do. "Of course you have talent, you're strong, kind, handy-" She poked her new necklace, "And you can make jewelry!" She smiled sheepishly, "You're a woman's dream." She took the clip and grinned, "Thanks... Really..."
 
Max liked how she kept on trying to make him seem so great but then said"I might be good, but I don't think i could really be anyone's dream guy."He looked down and then saw the way she looked at the stuff he made and it gave him great joy and then he caught himself talking out loud without thinking"I wish you didn't have a boyfriend but who am I to..."Right as he was getting really deep into his heart he caught himself and looked down, he knew for sure she heard him and he hated the fact that all these feelings were hitting him and letting themselves out without word. Why though Max wondered why is this so complicated it isn't like i can do anything anyway, she had boyfriend who she seemed happy with it just turned out Max was always never where he needed to be when things could have gone his way. After a second he felt some tears coming down his eyes and tried wiping them away.
 
Eleona's stomach dropped. She stared at the boy, now with tears streaming down his face. She didn't know if it was from embarrassment, or that he was just upset over the whole situation. For some reason she couldn't stand seeing him upset like that, and it even started to hurt her. After all this boy seemed to have gone through a lot in his life, being abandoned and all... It just wasn't fair. She pulled him into a tight hug, just because she could. As she buried her head in his shoulder she started crying as well, but was careful not to make a noise. She wasn't making it fair for him... She was just another problem in his life... Her crying increased, however she still didn't make a noise. Eleona just burrowed her head further in his chest.
 
Max was shocked when the girl pulled him into a hug so instead of resisting it he put his arms around her too and could feel the way she shook a little that she was crying.As she put he head further in his chest Max said"If i can do anything to make you happy again tell me and ill do it." Max wasn't lying he wanted her happy even though he was so sad but to him all that matter was her happiness and he wanted her to smile again, it wasn't right that he was letting his feeling get out so he also said"I am sorry I didn't mean to let my real feeling for you out." Then shocked by what he said Max looked towards the window at the beautiful sky.
 
She wiped her face, "...I-I don't think I know what makes me happy anymore." She began blinking to fight back more tears, "I just don't want to cause you any pain..." Eleona pulled his chin down to meet her gaze, "What should we do?" She sighed and hugged the boy tightly. Which would hurt more... Having Max him as a friend, or not having Xavier as anything... Both made her chest ache in pain.
 
Max looked at Eleona while holding her tightly and said" I don't know what we should do and I don't know if it helps but I was always told to follow my heart when serious things came around."Just then Max said"Wait here ill be right back."He ran down the tower as fast as possible then came back up with a bunch of flowers."I hope this is something nice to you cause i would really like to see you're beautiful smile again."He said while panting he was clearly out of breath,just then he fell over. As he laid there he wondered why he fell then thought it was best to just lay down on the floor in tell he could breath again.
 
Eleona smiled as he came back up with the flowers, "Mission accomplished." She sniffled, then knelt beside him. She laid down and sighed, then listened to Max's heartbeat. She gulped and decided to follow his advice, go with the heart. Slowly but surely she inched her way to his face. Then in a bold move, she leant in closer and closer until their lips were barely apart. Then she decided that she would just leave it up to fate.
 
Max was laying on the ground and was happy to hear her say mission accomplished,he loved the way she smiled and when they're lips were barely apart he wasn't sure if it was right but he decided to go with it.So he kissed her then pulled his head back on the ground not sure if she would like that but he wasn't sure if that was what she was going for but if it wasn't Max knew he would have made a huge mistake, but he was hoping he didn't make a mistake doing it.
 
Eleona sat up for a second, and stayed silent. Did she really just do that? She pulled Max up, then hugged him again. After that she leant in, kissed him once more, this time with more feeling. It was almost like sparks were dancing on her lips at the same time. Of course this whole situation was out of character for her, but she really didn't care. She was always a fan of living in the moment, and at the moment she was happy.
 
When Eleona pulled him up and hugged him Max felt his heart skip and beat then his heart skipped several beats when she kissed him again.Max felt his arms tightly wrap around her,it felt prefect to have his lips against hers. As they kissed Max's heart kept beating fast he wasn't sure if she could feel it but he felt like it would jump out of his chest.
 
Eleona reluctantly parted the kiss and sighed, "Max... I think I like you... But I do have a boyfriend." She held his hand, "A-and until that ends... we can't be together." She silently prayed that he would come up with a way that they could be together, she couldn't think of any. She just laid her head on his shoulder and sighed... Totally and utterly depressed.
 
Max put the arm with the hand she wasn't holding around her and said"Well if you want i could figure out a way for us to be together? But that is up to you, If so ill think of something right now."Something told Max that she probably did but he didn't want to jump to conclusions and wanted to make sure she would be happy before he tried to figure out a way. But then Max thought of a rough way to be with her but then thought to himself shes not some prize to be won so i will not do that. But as he waited for her answer he continued to think just in case she wanted him to figure something out, and he was pretty sure she might want him too seeing how she looked a little more down after telling him she had a boyfriend.
 
Eleona sighed, "Honestly I do... But I can't let you get caught up in all of this! I'm not worth it. I'm really not..." She slumped down on the wall and sighed.
 
Max walked up to her and brought her into his arms and said"You are worth it to me." He said then asked"The question is do you want to be with me?" Then he stay quite while holding her in his arms.
 
Eleona closed her eyes, "If I knew that we wouldn't have this problem!" She started yelling, it wasn't that she was mad at him, she was mad at herself, "Of course I want to be with you but I want to be with him too!" She buried her face again, ready to just burst into tears again.
 
Max wasn't sure what to say at the remark she made last but then he figured out what to say"Whatever decision you make even if it hurts me ill stand by it as long as you are happy." Max then held her closer to himself he didn't want her hurting so badly so he knew he would have to go with whatever she decided no matter how bad it would hurt him.
 
She sighed and just decided to stand there, "Then I guess there's nothing we can do." She pulled away and turned around, "I-I'm sorry."
