The waking of the trees. retry

[Professor Elvera Le Fey]

elvera waked into the forest. she didn't know weather she was supposed to be there, sure it was forbidden but know one payed attention to that, put that was before the boy died. she looked up as she felt water dripping on her head but found that it was only dripping off the leaves, as it had rained that morning. in her bag she carried a small picnic as she didn't want to have to go up to the castle to eat if anything interesting happened. without realizing it her feet lead her to the same place as normal, her clearing. the bark of the tree was wet and slimy but she sat on her usual branch anyway. she sat there humming to herself, wondering what would happen.

Spike stepped out from the dark shadows of the forest, into the lighter section to see Elvera a lovely girl he had grown very fond of, it seemed quiet weird seeing as he was almost double her age, but he loved being in her presence and she seemed as though she liked to spend time with him. Seeing her eyes illuminate the way he began to smile, to himself as he walked over towards her as silently as he could. " Elvera, looking beautiful as always."

Elvera heard spikes voice behind her and turning around she saw Spike come out of the depths of the forest. she jumped down out of her tree, and ran over to him. "Spike!" she called flinging her arms around him. "how have you been"

 

[Spike]

" Good, I have been good." He said as he held her close to him and gave her a kiss on the cheek. This was probably his favorite person to be around it was easy to be around her, but he usually fumbled his words, and done stupid things, which embarrassed himself. It was also good because she didn't seem to notice how clumsy he was around her. " How was your holidays, beautiful."

Elvera Was glad that spike had been okay. she was sorry that she hadn't seen him more recently but it had been a cold winter and most days she hadn't left the castle except to go to her classes. She was distracted from this chain of thought as he kissed her lightly on the cheek. she holds him tighter feeling a rush of blood to her head, more specifically her face which turned a little pink. staying in the same persition she answered his question. 'the holiday were alright i suppose. i spent most of the time helping morgan out in the shop, anything interesting happened here?" she wasn't sure why but she never thought of morgan as her mum, she was always morgan. maybe it was because she had grown up without her.

 

[Spike]

Spike coud feel the rush of blood go to her head as he still held her off the ground and yet again kissed her on the cheek, he missed her so much. " Yeah a lot went on here, I became a hunter and am classed as one of the strongest of our village, they respect me now, instead of looking down on me." Spike said as he pulled his face back to look into her beautiful eyes, he loved how they where different colors, they where so close that their noses where almost touching.

Elvera was glad that Spike had gained a promotion, he was the nicest centaur she knew by a long way. "I'm sure that they respected you before. who could not respect someone like you" she said, except that her voice didn't come out more than a whisper. before she knew it spike had pulled back slightly and so that they were now facing each other but bailly an inch apart. not quite knowing what she was doing she leaned forwards and kissed him lightly on the lips. she was not the kind of person to normally do that but it felt right and was exactly what she wanted

 

[Spike]

It was not the reaction that Spike had expected, but he kissed her back gently, it was his first kiss and he didn't really have a clue what he was doing. As he pulled back he smiled and sat her on a branch that equaled there height so they could look straight into each others eyes. " Your a very special girl, Elvera."

Elvera felt him kiss her and then they bolt pulled bakc at the same time. It was ferst kiss and it had been wonderful not quite what she had inagained but amazing none the less. She let him lift her up and put her back on the branch she had been sitting on earlyer she smiled both because she was enjoying her time with Spike and also because he was tickleing her slightly. When he said she was special she averted her eyes and broke the eye contact. "you are one of the most close people...umm centaurs to me, the other is my mother" she said looking straight back at him

Spike thought it was fnny how she refered to him being close to her, with her being close to her mother, it was a funny way to put it but it put a smile on his face none the less. " Well you are the closest human to me, and more then likely forever will be." Spike said as he put his arms around her, nice and softly.

Elvera saw that spike didn't understand what she meant but was glad that at he at least pretended to. she laughed softly at his next reply, it rhymed. she put her arm around him when she felt his do the same. she didn't know what to say she just sat there in silence listening to the trees wakening up after their long winter sleep. after a little while she said "I'm so glad its spring again, I dont like cold weather" she knew that this was a slight change in subject but she could almost feel the air around her warming up and the plants stretching their leaves to the sunlight

 

[Spike]

Spike leaned in and gave her another soft kiss on the lips, he didn't want to get pushed away but he knew that he wouldn't. He knew he would probably get dragged into it, for a deeper more passionate kiss.

Elvera was surprised when spike kissed her again. after a moment of recovering she kissed him back a little harder than he had kissed her, but not too hard. when she did so she could feel the world opening up around her. She rapped her arms around him now realizing what she felt for spike was deeper than friendship, and not wanting to let go.

 

[Spike]

Spike pulled back slightly and looked into her eyes, he felt kind of wrong kissing someone of this age, but he couldn't help the way he felt. Even if people looked down on him, and judged him.

Elvera watched spike pull away. not wanting to stop but knowing that she must. she looked back at him and then leaned into his chest feeling protected by his strength and closeness.

 

[Spike]

Spike put his arms around her and stood there in silence as they just hugged each other.

Elvera pulled away after a few moments, as she thought she heard something moving. it was probably a rabbet or something but she decided to play it safe as it probably wouldn't so spike much good if another centaur saw how close he was to the students, and it probably wouldn't de her much good if a professor saw her there either, she remembered the last time she came across a professor in the forest and didn't want to repeat the experience.

 

[Spike]

Looking over his shoulder Spike could see a horn sticking out of the bushes just a few meters back from where he stood. Grabbing Elvera's hand he bagan to drag her over towards the creatures. " You will love this." He said as he pulled back the bush to reveal the unicorn that was grazing the grass.

 

[Professor Elvera Le Fey]

When Spike grabbed her and dragged her over to the grass, she could make out a horn and she realized that she had heard a unicorn. judging by its light gold it was only a baby. she smiled. "hello little one, how are you she was speaking to the unicorn as though it would reply but she knew that it couldn't talk. she looked back at spike and smiled even wider if that was posable. "your right i do love this" she said trying to hold the laugh out of her voice.

 

[Spike]

The unicorn rested its horn upon Spikes stomach and gently rubbed itself up and down him, it was a beautiful creature and Spike always loved running into them in the forest and never wanted to see one harmed. " They are the most beautiful thing ever, other then you." Spike said, which kind of sounded a little funny.

 

[Professor Elvera Le Fey]

Elvera smiled, as spike spoke. she didn't quite understand how anything could be more beautiful than a unicorn, least of all her. she flushed this out of her mind and stroked it on the nose, making sure that she didn't touch its horn. "nothing can be more beautiful than a baby unicorn she said looking back at spike and smiling wider again.

 

[Spike]

Spike slowly and gently lifted Elvera off the ground and turned her to face himself and made it so their noses where just touching. " Nothing could be more beautiful then you." He said softly as he kissed her right next to her lips on the cheek.
