The Outside of The Snow Manor

Theodore casually sat on on a couch in the Manor Living Room flipping through an old Magic book that belonged to his Newly discovered father. It seemed almostr weird for him to be looking through his Alphonse's things, but since it was discovered that he was Theodore's birth father things seemed to have changed greatly. It seemed that Theodore no longer had to to fear about being a nuisance that just hangs around being moody all the time. Outstreatching his legs he looked up at the old clock that sat above where a bureau. It was almost time for Abbey to arrive.

Abbey was coming over to the Manor for a few days to hang out. He knew she would be nervous about being in a place like this. But Theodore and Alyssa would try their bets to make Abbey as comfortable as they possibly could.

'I just hope my family behaves themselves.' Theodore sighed and closed the book before standing up and placing the book onto a nearby shelf carefully.

Abbey wasn't totally certain at first how she was to arrive in France at Theodore's home, but somehow she had convinced a stranger to apparate her there. For some reason she was always able to rely on the kindness of strangers and for some reason they always wanted to be exceddingly nice to her. So with a crack she arrived in front of the Snow Manor, and with another crack the kindly stranger was gone. "Oh my goodness!" she said aloud as she set her gaze on that mansion. Her jaw dropped and her knees buckled.

Abigail suddenly felt a whole form in the middle of her stomach and she rubbed her violet eyes nervously. She picked up her small trunk and walked up the long path that lead to Theodore's front door. For a moment she just stood there, wondering what she woudl say or do if Theodore's real parents would open the door instead of Theo. Could she give him a hug? What happened if they knew her parents? Which was very likely as both of her parents were French Death Eaters. Would she get upset and ruin another friendship like she had with Hadan? No-- she wouldn't, she was going to be on her best behavior and she was going to let them say what ever they wanted to and about her. She was here to be with her beau and to avoid living on the street as long as she possibly could.

When the Slytherin had finally stricked up the courage she rang the doorbell, her heart hammering faster then normal and her violet eyes lightened slightly as they did when she was nervous. She began fiddling with her dress. She wasn't totally confident if it was completely appropriate. Yes it was fancy - well it was the fancied thing she could sew in a few days - but what if it was too fancy? What if she was overdressed? Would his parents loook at her oddly and judge her?

Just as Theodore put the book back onto the bookshelf he heard the doorbell ring loudly throughout the house. This signaled that either Abbey or some other person had arrived. Signaling the maid that he would get the door he slowly walked over to the door and opened.

He immediantly smiled when he saw that it was only Abbey, looking as nervous as ever. Theodore opened the door wider and motioned for her to come in. He knew that as soon as she walked in that would signal his parents to come down and greet her. His mother seemede especially interested in seeing who the girl that Theo fancied so much.

"Glad your here....hey...how'd you get here anyways?" Theodore asked as he closed the door behind Abbey softly.

Abbey let out a small sigh of relief when Theodore was the one that had opened the door. "Hello Theodore," she smiled as she meekly walked inside but looked over at him as he asked her how she got here. "I asked a stranger to apparate me here," she answered truthfully.

Abbey tore her gaze from Theodore and her eyes widened in shock, she had never, ever seen a home this large and she was only in the front foyer. "My god," she said, not caring how poor and naive she must have seemed. She had never been in a room this large that was not in either of the Hogwarts castles.

Abbey shook her head and turned back over to him. "I've missed you terribly," she admitted meekly perhaps that was just because she had been working non-stop, sleeping in the streets and doing a bunch of things that made her feel so much older then she had to be.

Margaux had been busy sewing her latest dress in her office when she heard the doorbell ring. Looking up from the soft white material Margaux sighed and placed her sewing needle onto a small wooden table that had sat next to her. She immediantly smoothed her dark red dress down before she opened her office door and headed down the hall.

"Lucille, who is at the door?" Margaux called as she gracefully walked down the stairs, but she had reached the bottom she stopped and noticed that a young girl was standing with her son. This caused Margaux's dark red lipstick covered lips to turn into a upright smile.

"Oh Theo." Margaux said softly in her strong french accent. Margaux hoped it wasn't hard for the girl to understand her poor english. "Who is this? She's darling!" Margaux beamed and walked foward. Immediantly she gracefully extened her snowy pale hand to shake the girls.

Abbey looked over as she heard a woman's voice said Theodore's name. She smiled. Alyssa and Theodore were a spitting image of her, their snow-white skin and beauty was a common trait in her friend's family it seemed. She of course could understand the woman through the accent, she had picked that up naturally but she had lived in France for the few first months of her life, and it was likely that she had heard the accent so it was natural to her. "Abigail Lurken, Ma'am," she answered quietly as she bowed her head politely, before she shakily put her hand out, her cold skin touch Mrs. Snow's and she almost felt badly that a woman of such grace and beauty had to suffer through her freezing skin.

Abbey glanced over at Theodore for a quick moment before looking back at his mother. "Thank you for having me," she said politely, giving the woman her warmest smile. Showing her perfectly straight, white teeth, her violet eyes twinkling with anxiety and warmth at the same time.

Marguax smiled at the young girl. The poor girl looked terrified to even be inside the house. Margaux was a tad unsure why though, it may have been due to the fact that the girl was just not used to being around another family. Margaux would try and be as friendly to the girl as she could possibly be.

"She's adorable." Margaux muttered to her son before walking over and running a hand over his soft blonde hair. Leanign down she kissed his head softly before stepping back with grace and turning. "Make sure she's comfortable here, be sure to show her to her room. And be polite!" Margaux added the polite thing at the end with a slightly snippy tone to show him she was serious. There was no need for the poor girl to think ill of the Snow Family.

"I'd love to show you around dear, but Alyssa seems to have wandered off when she's really ought to be packing for out trip to Cancun." Margaux smiled softly before she walked off with the grace of an angel.

Theodore nodded as his mother walked off. He still wasn't very used to having a mother baby him like Margaux often did. It always gave him strong chills when Margaux treated him like she did. Turning quickly to Abbey he gave her a soft smile, he hoped that his mother's kindness towards Abbey calmed her down slightly.

"I guess you can see where we get the Part-Veela trait from. Funny part is that my mother looked exactly like Alyssa when she was younger. It's way creepy." Theodore held out his hand to take Abby's bag for her.

"Let me give you a tour of the house."

Abbey smiled seeing Mrs. Snow show affection to Theodore. It was really nice that he had a mother that seemed to love him so much, even though she had to hide that about herself for thirteen years. She almost giggled in amusement when she saw the woman tell Theodore to be polite, she seemed so much like Alyssa when she did that, which made her wonder what traits, both physical and personality wise had their father given to them.

Abbey nodded her head lightly when Mrs. Snow said that she had to go herd Alyssa to get her to pack for Cancun. What she didn't understand was why Mrs. Snow just use the spell that packed your things for you. She turned towards Theodore and said lightheartedly, "Your mother is just precious." In fact she could see herself getting along with her a lot, perhaps even admiring her, however she was here to be with her friend.

Abbey grinned brightly at Theodore and said, "You look so much like her, it isn't funny." She handed her bag over to him anxiously, hoping he wouldn't mind having to carry it too much. She smiled and said when he offered to give her a tour, "Sounds lovely."

Theodore smiled at Abbey's comment. It never really occured to him how much he and his siblings looked like their mother. However, only Alyssa's personality had seem to come from Margaux at all. Theodore knew that he was nothing like Margaux's soft and graceful personality. Theodore was to harsh and quiet to be anything like her at all. However, Theodore was beyond happy that Abbey liked his mother. It was mostly her opinion that mattered anyways.

"Well as you can see, then is the living room, but my family is rarely ever inside here." Theodore softly grabbed Abbey's hand and pulled her towards a large doorway. He pushed open the large swinging doors and softly lead Abbey into the room. "This is our Kitchen. We rarely ever cook in here though, because we have cooks to do that for us.." Theodore began to pull Abbey's hand again and lead her out another pair of doors that was on the other side of the kitchen. "And this is the Dining Room. We have all our meals in here unless were sick."

Once Theodore had felt that Abbey had gotten a good look at the room he pulled her along to the the other side of the house to a place he was sure she might like. It had always been his favorite place, it was usually quiet too. "This is our Indoor Pool. We can go swimming in here later is you like." Theodore winked at her playfully

After Theodore had shown her The family;
Library
Entertainment Room
Downstairs Bathroom

Theodore stopped his tour of the downstairs. "Would you like to go upstairs and see your room and stuff now?"

Abigail flushed a deep crimson when Theodore took her hand in his, she walked side by side him, her thumb slid over his knuckles affectionately and her touch was light as light as a feather. Why she had done that she wasn't sure but she had and certainly wasn't complaining now. She looked at each of the rooms and each time her firmly pressed lips opened even more. Why someone would buy all of these rooms was beyond her, but then again she led a very modest life before New Zealand. Two meals a day, a large room that held all 17 girls cots, a small kitchen where the eldest had to cook and of course there was Mrs. Cajou's own room that was filled with magical potions and brooms and everything that she held near and dear to her heart. To this day she could remember the smell that had been in her room. The smell of her only parental figure, and she missed it.

When they entered Theodore's indoor swimming pool she just looked at him curiously, as if she was asking, 'Is there really a pool in front of me?' She blinked her eyes and blushed as she caught his sly wink. As they entered the library her eyes danced wildly. If there was one thing she loved it was wrapping herself in a book, temperarily forgetting all her troubles, and getting lost into the mind of those characters in the novels. Wow, she thought, recalling how much work it had been to get one book for each of the girls for Christmas and a small piece of candy for their birthdays.

As the tour had come to a short hault Abbey looked at Theodore disbelivingly and blurted out before she could stop herself, "There's more?" Realizing how rude she could have seemed she looked down at her feet sheepishly, while kicking herself in her mind, her cheeks were increasingly hottening from embarasment at this point. After a second she calmed herself back down and said, "If you'd like to." The Slytherin gave her housemate a warm smile and said truthfully, "Your house is beautiful, Theodore." She hoped that he wouldn't be irritated or annoyed at how new this all seemed to her, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was at Hogwarts Scotland when she was coming in on her very first day, she had been completely and totally awestruck, now that she thought back it was really embarassing and hoped this woudn't be one of those situations.

Theodore chuckled at how cute Abbey's amazement to his home was. Theodore had lived this lifestyle so long that it was mostly boring to him. He was never really amazed with riches anymore. In fact he was almost wondering what it would be like to not be rich.

Grabbing Abbey's hand again again he lightly pulled her upstairs, Theodore walked down a few hallways to where the bedrooms were held. Theodore figured that it didn't really matter about the other rooms because Abbey most likely wouldn't care about the other rooms. He kept walking until he had reached a large white door. Grasping the doorknob tightly he smiled.

"This is Alyssa's Bedroom." ( except bedspread should look like This) Theodore took a quick peak inside and made a quick notice that Alyssa was nowhere inside. Which meant she must've been lounging around the house somewhere. Once he felt Abbey had gotten a good look she quietly closed the door and lead Abbey to the next door.

"This..." Theodore blushed. "Is My Room." Theodore opened the door softly and immediantly found hismelf turning a light shade of red. He had never shown a girl his room, none the less the girl he had a crush on. "It's not real fancy like Alyssa's or anything..but I like it." Theodore smiled and closed the door and softly grabbed Abbey's hadnd once more and lead her down the hallway. He made sure to skip ove rhis Parents room and head to the room he knew Abbey was sure to love.

"Annndddd This is where your gonna stay." Theodore smiled at he opened the Guest Bedroom door.

Abbey blushed when Theodore laughed at her, however it didn't seem like he was laughing at her like she was an idiot so that couldn't have been too bad. She walked beside him as they went up the stairs. She glanced inside Alyssa's room, slightly surprised, it didn't exactly look how she had expected. She gollowed him to the next room and grinned when she saw Theodore's room, it wasn't exactly what she had expected for him as it was more outdoor-sy and sporty then rocker which she had thought his room would be like, but she liked it none the less.

When they arrived at the next room, her eyes widened. This was where she was staying? It was amazing. She looked over at Theodore and gave him a dumbfounded look. "Theodore, wow,"she said, turning around to face him. Abbey's eyes locked Theodore's and a dazed expression formed on her lips. "It's a wonder you're not completely spoiled and rude," she teased lightly and kissed his cheek softly to let him know she really was just teasing him and didn't think that of him.

Alphonse silent opened the door to his bedroom and walked out into the hallway. Alphonse had locked himself into the darkness of his room for hours going over contracts for his latest buisness deal. It was a pricy buisness deal, risky too. But Alphonse knew that it he looked over the contract carefully there would be nothing to worry. He had plenty of time to look over the documents too because no Death Eater meeting has been called in awhile, this gave him a lot of time to be around and work.

Just as Alphonse rounded the corner he feet brought him to a halt when he noticed Theodore standing in front of one of their newer Guest Rooms with a young girl. With his eyes cold and dark he stepped closer to the two.

"Theodore!" Alphonse called immediantly trying to catch his sons attention.

Theodore slowly let go on the door knob and let his hands fall to his sides to give his dad an annoyed look. It was one thing that he came in being all rude, but chaances are Theodore was going to get yelled or nagged at for some reason or another only know to Alphonse.

"What? I'm kind of busy." Theodore nodded his head in Abbey's direction lightly. He hoped his father wasn't scaring her at all. Alphonse wasn't exactly the most understanding person in the world. Especialyl when it came to brining home friends. Luckily for him Abbey was a pureblood, this would hopefully keep down his father's temper. "Abbey, this is my father. Dad, this is my friend Abbey." Theodore introdouced the two calmly.

Abbey's eyes strayed from her friend and to the man that entered, her heart began to hammer with fright. His eyes had darkened to a point where she was reminded of the man that ran the orphanage after Mrs. Cajou died. She took a frightened step backwards, and she clenched her fists but didn't take her eyes of the man that Theodore had just introduced as his father. She politely bowed her head just as most purebloods did, knowing that a handshake wasn't a normal thing to them as it was something muggles and mudbloods did.

Abbey gave a quick glance to Theodore, reassuring him that she was fine knowing that she didn't seem that way at all. She looked back over at the man, her violet eyes darkening coldly, not knowing how much she really looked like her father at this moment. Drake Lurken had instilled a lot of fear in other Death Eaters during his life as he was high in the ranks, as had her mother, Astrid Hurley Lurken.

Alphonse immediantly reconized exactly who Abbey was once he had gotten a good look at her violet eyes. It wasn't hard for him to figure it out, not many Death Eaters he had known had violet eyes as pretty as that girls Parents had. Chuckling softly he shook his head. Alphonse did not have a problem with her family. It also calmed him to know Theodore had not brought in some blood traitor or a muggle that would stink up the entire house.

"You are a Lurken, no?" Alphonse asked in a light french accent.

"You are a Lurken, no?"

Abbey was bemused but smirked anyways, looking more and more like her father every second. "Yes," she answered, fighting to make some snide remark. The young girl crossed her arms against her chest and asked slowly, "Why?" Only Death Eaters really know who they are, so he has to be one, she thought with a straight face.

"I once worked quite close with your father. It's a shame what happened to them." Alphonse muttered bitterly before he began to walk foward again and past Theodore and the girl. It was hard for him to admit that there was becoming a less amount of Death Eaters then ever before. And that meant tha the world was beginning to lose it's belief in blood purity and the Darkness. Before he past he gave one last look down at Abbey and Theodore before he calmly made his way downstairs.

Abbey rolled her violet eyes, she had a strong feeling that he didn't actually mean that, no one ever did. When Mr. Snow left she turned towards Theodore and smirked, "So your Dad is a Death Eater." She grinned at him, and then tucked a strand of straight hair behind her ear, running her slender fingers through it then resting her hand on her shoulder comfortably.

Theodore rolled his eyes at his father's behavior. Sometimes Theodore couldn't help but label his father as nothing but a spoiled brat. He did find it interesting that Alphonse had known Abbey's parents, which meant they must've been death eaters too. Opening the door wider Theodore walked into the Guest room and softly pulled Abbey with him.

"Almost everyone one in my is a Death Eater." Theodore shrugged his shoulders as he carefully set down the bag onto the floor. "I wouldn't be surprised it I ended up becoming one." Theodore said softly hoping it wouldn't make Abbey uncomfortable.

"Oh... and sorry about my father being such a brat." Theodore snickered. "but he must have accepted you...because he didn't kick you out of the house." Theodore teased Abbey lightly.

"I wouldn't be surprised it I ended up becoming one."

Abbey frowned at the prospect of Theodore becoming a Death Eater. She didn't wish him to be one for his safety. "It's not safe to be one Theodore," she said gently, even though she had wished to be one earlier in her life but thought better of it over last year because her parents had died because they were Death Eaters. She didn't want to loose anyone else.

Abbey shrugged her shoulders lightly when Theodore apologized for his father's actions. "It's alright Theodore, if he lightens up a bit, I'm certain he would be a decent person." She grinned at him.

Theodore shrugged his shoulders with a small frown on his face. He couldn't completely say that he'd never become a Death Eater. It was in his family line for students to become Death Eaters at a certain age. Not all of The Snows did this, just most of them. Especially those of the main house. Theodore would actually be surprised if not even Alyssa had thought about turning to following the family ways. It was dangerous to be a death eater, but ti was also dangerous to live in a family that was full of them. Go against their ways and they wouldn't be afraid to cast you out.

"He never lightens up. And that's his problem, he's always avint glike that." Theodore shrugged his shoulders and walked over to the window to open the blinds. He felt that the room was a tad dark and Abbey might like a little bit of light into the room.

"Anyways, this is where you'll be staying for the next couple of day. Yuo can go anywhere in the house except the basement. downstairs is where my father often works and there's a lot of bad stuff down there." Theodore muttered with a look of boredom on his face. He found the basement creepy, but it was never as bad as most people thought it was.

Appoximately Two Hours Later

Abbey had lost track of Theodore, which was a given in this huge house. She assumed that he was either taking a shower or unpacking his things. She wasn't totally certain but she wasn't hard to locate, he had seen her expression when he showed her to his library, so it wouldn't be too hard to figure out that she had her nose in the books. She had picked up any given book, that was in English and walked over to a comfortable leather chair, and wrapped herself up, and began reading it. It was quite interesting, however, she was more intrigued at the library itself, she just wanted to soak herself up into every book, she had never seen so many. Not even at the Hogwarts Library, and the architecture was beautiful as well.

Abbey looked up around her when she heard the door open, she smiled. She didn't think it would be Mr. Snow, but incase it was one of Theodore's parents she crossed her legs in a lady like fashion and continued reading the book. Hoping that it was Theodore, she felt a bit lonely in this big house.

Theodore eventually had seen that all his stuff had been orgranized into his room and that all his books and materials for next year were organized neatly into placed he could find them later when he needed to pack for another year at school. Theodore's only other problem was that he currently couldn't find Abbey. He had checked her room; and she wasn't in there, now was she in the main hallway upstairs.

'She is probably downstairs.' Theodore thought to himself and quickly headed downstairs. He immediantly checked the Indoor Pool. And when he didn't see any sign of Abbey he checked the nest most likely place she would be.

Opening the Library door Theodore immediantly smiled and walked inside. "There you are! I was worried I had lost you for good in this house!" Theodore teased and shut the door behind him. "I'm actually surprised to found you way to this room without any trouble. This is usually the hardest room for people to find for some reason." Theodore shrugged and made his way over to Abbey.
