The Scent of Flowers

Alexia laughed brightly at Sam's expresions when she jumped the bush, Chasing Sam as she ran towards a tree Alexia was close to catching her but when Sam fell it caught her by suprise and Alexia had to stop quickly to stop herself from trampling her friend. With a look of horror she crouched down beside her friend to see if she was okay and when Sam smiled Alexia knew that she was, She quickly touched Sam's shoulder to mark that she had been caught. Sitting back Alexia took a quick break and looked up at the tree and when she did she seen movement, "Heeeeey" She laughed getting to her feet and walking up to the tree. Clambering up easily she made it to where she seen Vayne and Kate hiding. "Oh was not expecting oth of you up here" Alexia told them with a grin and reached out to tag them both just to prove she got everyone.
 
Vayne was startled when he saw Alexia quickly approaching their position. "Oh no,, now she's going to catch us."he said to Kate worriedly. He hates loosing even though it is just a game. Arguing to himself whether he should jump and start to run, he decided to do otherwise. After all, he knows himself that he is no match to Alexia's skills. "Now this is the disadvantage of being in a tree huh Kate? I guess we don't have anywhere to run off to." He then said with a grin. "Well, there's always a next time."
 
Sam laughed as Alexia started to climb the tree "At least half my plan worked," she said to herself as she pushed her self into sitting position ignoring any pain. She gritted her teeth as she pulled her jeans up over her knees because she had a feeling the might be skint. One turned out to just be bruised but the other had burst the skin small droplets of blood appearing through the graze. She pulled her jeans back down shaking her head at herself a smile still on her face she was used to this it happened almost every time she went out.
 
Kate didn't notice Alexia look up and she had moved the leaves to get a better veiw and she nearly fell off the tree when she saw Alexia climb up the tree "Your right"she said to Vayne she hopped off the tree and went over to Sam she saw bits of blood she got a tissue out of her pocket "Here ya go"Kate said giving the tissue to her "well Sam I guess your on next"Kate said
 
"Thanks," Sam said taking the tissue and wiping her knee pulling her jeans back down. She stood up wiping her jeans down to get all the dust from ground off them she looked back up and said "Well what you waiting on go hide." She raised her hands to her eyes and started counting.
 
As Alexia dropped down from the tree behind Kate she followed her back to Sam. "Are you sure your alright Sam." She asked unable to tell if she was really okay or just acting it. "I feel bad that your hurt" Alexia confessed hoping that she was not in too much pain.
 
"Alexia's right... Are you really fine Sam? Don't push yourself, I can play the "it" if you want..." Vayne said, as he climb down the tree to check on Sam. He was worried that one of his friends had gotten hurt.
 
"Are you sure your okay"Kate asked worried that tissue had helped a little bit but there was still a lot of blood "Where did you actually cut yourself"Kate asked sometimes if you wiped away all the blood the cut wasn't hat bad "Why don't you sit this one out.I'll be on"Kate said
 
"Seriously am fine thanks for the offer but am it,"she smiled trying to show them she was alright. "It was just a scratch I'll live been through worse. So are you going to hide or not?"
 
Alexia admired Sam's determination to continue playing. "Only if you are sure" She told her with a serious look, she did not want Sam to hurt herself even worse. She definatly seemed to act fine, Alexia thought, She was strong. "Okay then lets get playing" Alexia agreed finaly.
 
"If you insist that you are fine, then so be it..... just tell us if you can't handle it, Ok?" Vayne replied firmly at Sam. He wants to make sure that all of them are having fun and that none of them would be in danger. "So, let's get going then?" He asked, a small smile visible in his face.
 
Kate was still worried about Sam but admired her for her perisitance "Okay if your sure"Kate said looking around for a place to hide Sam started to count and Kate ran towards the end of the garden she saw biggish box where people could sit down on she opened it and found it relatively clean she got in and and closed the lid it was extremely uncomfortable but a good hiding place it was at the edge of the garden and it wasn't that big she could still hear Sam counting but only faintly she waited wondering where the others were
 
"Okay, bye guys!" Alexia waved before she dashed off in the other direction from Kate. Slowing down to hear how far Sam had counted she looked arround for the perfect space. There were two rocks next to a tree and Alexia went to investigate them. The rocks were really big, if Alexia tipi-toed and stretched her arms right up she could touch the top of them. She looked arround the sides of them and where was a small gap inbetween one of the rocks and the tree, Alexia almost missed it, it was that well hidden. Slipping through the hole Alexia looked up out the top. There was only a tiny ray of sunlight. She sat cross legged on the dirt and smiled to herself.
 
Vayne was still not sure whether Sam was fine or not. Nevertheless, if she had said that she is fine, then so be it. Half-heartedly as he doesn't really wanted to leave Sam alone, Vayne dashed off to find some place to hide. Looking for any prospective hiding places, Vayne saw a tall rosebush. Deciding that he would hide there instead on a tree wherein it would be really hard for him to run if sam finds him, Vayne lie down comfortably, making sure to not make any unnecessary movement so as to not make the bush around him move. Praying that sam would not find him first, Vayne listened to any noise near him.
 
Sam stood with her hands over her eyes facing the tree as she counted. She wasn't focused on her counting but instead listened as closely as she could to the footsteps of the three as they ran to hide. He heard three different sets of footsteps each going in a different direction. They quickly went quiet and she soon finish counting "Ready or not!" She shouted out so they could all hear her. She glanced round to see if she could see anyone but like she thought there was no one in sight. So she set off walking round the garden trying to spot good hiding places starting at the top and working her way down.
 
Kate was getting bored and she was glad when she heard Sam shout the excitment of the game started and Kate had a load of butterfly's she was glad when she heard Sams footsteps go the opposite direction to where she was hiding she wondered where the others where she tried shifting a little because it was extremely uncomfortable she tried to make a little noise as possible but it was proving difficult she decided to takea peep outside to get more air and to see where Sam was she opened the lid and looked outside she could see glimpses of Sam at the top of the garden she decided this place wasn't worth it so quietly she got out of the box when Sam had gone to the other side of the garden she saw a big bushy evergreen tree and decided to hide behind it she didn't really mind being seen she was a good runner and she had a better chance running then hiding she got in beside the bush and waited for Sam...
 
As she walked round Sam stopped beside a tree which stood beside two massive rocks which cast a shadow over where she stood. While looking round one of the rocks however some movement caught her eye at the other side of the garden. She glanced round to see a figure slide in behind a tree. She pretended not to have seen it so they didn't run and get too big a head start on her so moving on from the rock she started making her way round the rest of the garden until she was eventuall not far from where she hoped whoever she had seen was still hiding.
 
Kate had a feeling she had been seen but when Sam didn't come over she relaxed a bit but as she saw Sam gradually coming closer and once or twice looking over at the tree Kate decided she would run when Sam got to her original hiding place she looked for other means of getting out when she saw some light shinning from the other side of the tree she thought there was only one way of getting in to the tree she decided to take a look gently she pushed some of the branches away it was another way out and only if you were in the tree could you see it and there was a patch of bushes that would hide her and she would easily be able to run if Sam saw her.Slowly she moved towards the opening when she got through to the other side she pushed the branches back so you couldn't see the way she'd got out from the other side she tip toed over to the bushes and hid behind she could see a lot of the garden from where she was she scanned the area looking for the other two but she couldn't see them she got ready to run at any moment
 
Alexia loved her hiding spot. It was almost impossible to find the gap she had slipped through. The only thing was that if she did get seen then she could not run away. Hopefully she wouldn't for a while though. Taking a daring look out of her hidout there was nobody arround and Alexia thought that she could hear somone walking on the other side of her hiding spot. She quickly and quietly crawled back inside fully and crouched on the dirt.
 
Sam stood for a second her back to the tree deciding her best chance would be to run straight in reduce there chances of running out. So with this decided she spun run and ran quickly through the gap at the tree stopping dead when she noticed no one was there. She looked her walking slowly forward but she knew they must have moved.
 
Vayne listened as he heard footsteps around him. Not daring to stad up from his lying position, Vayne decide to try to switch into a facing down though still flat in the ground position. That way, it would be easier if there is a need for him to stand up. Peeking through the bush where he is hiding, he tried to decipher where the others are hiding as well as to forecast or predict Sam's next movements. Hopefully, she wouldn't find him first.
 
Kate had settled in when she heard footsteps run towards the tree she saw the branches moving she held her breath but breathed out when she heard the footsteps get harder to hear.She was glad she had found the little opening she got ready to run just in case Sam saw the entrance she still wondered where the other two were
 
Sam turned on the spot looking for where they could have gone but saw nothing but more tree. She eventually decided she might as well take another walk round the garden and see if she could see anyone. As she went back the way she came however a small opening caught her eye and she smiled to herself as she quickly turned on her heel and ran through it revealing Kate on the other side who looked ready to bolt.
 
Kate was about to relax when Sam came bursting through the tree she nearly had a heart attack with the fright but she quickly recovered and dashed out of the bushes running anywhere she ran towards a big rosebush but she saw Vayne hiding behind there she decided her best chance of survival was to revile his hiding place she felt mean but she did so anyway "Sorry Vayne"she said half between a whisper and talking normal she ran around the rosebush and stopped for a second to catch her breath sh looked up and saw Sam running towards her..........
 
Sam watched Kate run not halting her own movements as she chased her. She wasn't too far behind but could feel a throb on her knee which she ignored as she concentrated on catching Kate. Sam nearly tripped over Vayne as they ran round a rose bush behind which he was lying. She only just managed to jump over him before turning back round. "Tig," she said bending down to tap him on the back then turning to chase after Kate again.
