Open The Most Exciting Event

Padme hadn’t ever been interested in the school celebrations at her last school, and she was so happy that they would be here at the school, she had put on a nice outfit, had carefully done her hair, added a little make up and had made more than a little effort for the whole event. She just liked that they got the opportunity to do this, and she was just eager to enjoy herself for once. Hogwarts was good, the people were nicer than those in her last school and for once Padme actually had some friends, which was nice. People whom she could spend this time with if she wanted to. She was however happy to spend the time alone, she’d be able to reach out to other people at the event, rather than preplanning something. Padme liked doing things alone, and this was her first school ball, of course she wanted to attend it and absorb it all while. She could help as she skipped through the hall, just taking it all in, taking in the people dancing, the dresses, the suits, the varying outfits degrees of fancy. It was just fun. The girl stopped at the side of the hall after going round a few times and smiled at the sight before her, it was magic. This place was magic.​

Amy had been looking forward to the ball, but hadn't prepared herself for how amazing everything would look. She had put on her outfit and braided her hair before coming down to the Great Hall. She nearly gasped when she entered the hall. She didn't think that she would ever tire of the magic that she felt when she was at Hogwarts, and this was certainly no exception. She wandered around before she spotted Padme, one of her friends."Hi Padme! You look lovely!"

Padme spotted Amy in the crowd and waved at her when she wandered over, ”Hey Amy!” she greeted warmly smiling happily at the compliment, ”Thanks! You look lovely too!” she told her with a warm and excited tone. Of course she looked lovely, all of the people at this event looked lovely. ”Isn’t this place amazing?” Padme added as she looked about the hall, the fake snow, the yuletide decorations, just everything about the place was amazing. She had been the halloween feast but this was entirely different, the two events in the same place could not have been more different. She couldn’t even imagine how the hall had looked for the halloween feast now that it was adorned with so much yuletide stuff. ”How did you find the semester?” she asked Amy, with the exams over the holidays upcoming it would be a good time to talk about how the semester had been, their very first semester at this school.​

Amy smiled."It's wonderful!" She couldn't believe how different the hall looked with all the decorations."I was a little worried about exams, but I think that it went well. I'm looking forward to next semester. How did you enjoy it?" Amy still couldn't believe that she was at Hogwarts and knowing that her first semester was over was a little sad. But she knew that it was since people's last year and that she shouldn't be sad. She had heard ahead of her.

Padme smiled in agreement and nodded excitedly to the response she gave. She could admit that she had also been a little bit worried about exams and how those were going to go for her, but in the end she hadn’t done badly and she felt pretty confident. She was also sure that in the next semester or perhaps the next year she wouldn’t need to do as much work. She would be able to relax a little and do a little less. She had spent a lot of this semester getting to grips with the magic world and the only way to go now was up. She could only build on what she had learned and by the end of the year she’d know all of the basics. ”It was so good! But I’m also really looking forward to the next, already I know,” the hufflepuff giggled lightly. ”Are you heading home for the holidays?” she asked with a curious expression, for Padme there was no doubt, she definitely be heading home. She missed her old bed and she missed Leia it would be good to go home for a little bit.​

Amy shook her head at Padme's question."I don't think so." Her family was working, so she didn't see the reason to go back home and hang out by herself. If she stayed, she could study and do magic, maybe giving her an advantage for the next semester."Are you staying?" Amy hoped that she wasn't the only one in her year staying behind, especially since she had a few good friends in her year. She would be disappointed if she had no one to hang out with over the break.
