The day had finally arrived that James could take Maddie to a school ball. No secret dances, no stealing glances across the hall. They would be able to walk in together and dance together and James couldn't wait. Standing in front of the mirror fastening his tie he couldn't help but look to Rudolf's old bed in the reflection of the mirror. It had sat untouched since he didn't return for their sixth year.
